Chapter 9 – Flying High - Part 7
After a long way of walking, not realizing how far out we had traveled, we finally reach the gates where two guards are in full armor, much less than what I saw when we first came through.
I ask the King, "We're not walking all the way up the castle spiral, are we?"
"Hah, No. I have many safe houses across the capital for emergencies. We will head over to the eastern district and collect rations and supplies, and from there, we will get some flying companions to assist with covering the 2-week trip into a week trip at the latest."
"Thank you for the explanation, sir," I say, doing a slight bow as Kya laughs at how I need more practice with bowing.
Giving a soft chuckle as his age is clearly showing, I ask him if he's alright.
"You seem to be aging, Sir."
