Chapter 6 – Ungodly Might
Sitting next to Lily as the ground shakes, the monster emerges from the ground, eventually towering 20 feet tall. Instantly, its oozing body protrudes a sword and points it toward me.
As if inviting me into combat, all I can think about is Lily's safety. I grab her to take her to safety, noticing that the monster decides to ignore me and begins slamming itself in the direction of the villagers, upheaving masses of dirt and rock in the area.
She tells me I should get out of the way and let the adults handle it!
"Lily, you might be right, but I can't take the chance that they aren't able to do it alone. I must try to be of assistance. Please try to stay out of the way so you don't get hurt!"
"Oh, so you think I'm useless and can't fight either?"
"Wh-What?? I didn't say that. I just don't—" Cutting me off, she starts running towards the creature, somewhat insulted by my words, even though I meant them in good context.
