Appraise Potato and Salt

After becoming basic appraisers we decided to start working. A salt merchant had had an argument with one of his customers on the quality and price of his salt. We were hired together because appraisers usually worked in pairs. From the salt brought we determined that the merchant was not lying about the price and thus the customer had to pay ourconsultation fee and for 100 grams of salt.

Later a woman had brought us a seed and the yield of potato. She claimed that they were of the same origin yet her father had hit her for having gotten scammed. The truth was that the seed was of decieving quality and could only fool those with an experienced eye but not an appraiser. The woman was not at fault. This was a strange considering the amount of money to camoflage a potato so well would cost more than just actually selling high quality seeds.

It turns out the woman was from a wealthy and well known family of potato farmers and thus this was probably to ruin the family's reputation. A potato family farmer not being able to tell the difference between good and bad quality seeds how ridiculous. These two cases were the work assigned to us for one week and we were gradually growing our reputation.
