the anchor started explaining the competition....

" this competition is about presence of mind.... one of our professional musician will start playing a tune... one of the singer here will start singing a song according to the given lyrics.... the singers can develop the song however the next has to follow them... the judges grade them according to it and the winner is decided after the whole lyrics is over... the lyrics book contains 15 pages ....."

The competition might seem easy from the outside.... but it is the most difficult challenge one can set... only if the singer has absolute knowledge about music can he or she nail this competition.... nonetheless he or she can not even get close to participating.... the presence of mind and confidence in one self is the most important thing in this competition.... if the participant doesn't have the knowledge and skill then it is utterly waste participating..... this competition is going to test them well and truly....and the opponent can easily manipulated his opponent in this kind of competition.... particularly if they have different styles of singing....

the members were bummed hearing the competition... they felt like it was especially designed to defeat Lucy.... they were worried but they were also happy.... they played right to her hand.... Lucy was never a singer who memorised the tune of her song... she just has a correct beat and a tune set in her mind... and she plays with it.... this competition was like it was designed especially for Lucy.... but they can't underestimate the second lead singer of MCK group too... he will not have been able to get there without talent.... so the members understood it was going to be a tough challenge.... and all they could do was to wait till the end...

"The members will be given 10 minutes to go through the lyrics... and the competition will start shortly.." The anchor added..

the lyrics were distributed.... it was a very versatile lyric written by a very famous lyricist.... both Lucy and Sylus went though the lyrics and the competition started in 10 minutes.... the given 10 minutes was perfectly enough for the contestants to just go through it...

the one to sing first was decided by a coin toss....the winner of the toss had the biggest advantage ... because he can select the song's style... he can lead the song to his strengths.... and to the opponent's weakness....

Lucy chose the head and Sylus chose the tails....

the coin was tossed... it landed on tails....which ment that Sylus won the toss... and now he had the advantage....

"will you like to go first... i can give it up for you if you ask me nicely..." he said...

"thank you so much for your kindness Mr. Sylus.... but you can go ahead first.... because it is your teammate's reputation at line too... you don't want him to kneel in front of the crowd do you??" She replied...

"ha!! how could such a cute girl talk so rude.. and now you have piqued my interest..."

"It is a pleasure Mr. Sylus... and if you will do the honours...."

The drummer started giving the count... Sylus started singing along with the beat.... the lyrics was divided into paragraphs and each was given alternative paragraphs....

Sylus's voice was just like his looks.... it was so soft yet hit hard... it was very manly but gentle... it was very caring and rough at the same time....it was heavenly.... his paragraph was over before even people realised it.....

it was Lucy's turn to sing.... she took in the essence from Sylus's singing and put it in the lyrics that was in her style... she gradually changed the beat and the tune of the song....

she gave life to the song..... she made the perfect lyric into the prefect song.... she made justice to the lyrics.... it was the first time Sylus heard her sing... he was surprised... but he was also attracted to her voice.... it was like a magnet that pulled everything that is near....he was also surprised to see her knowledge in music... no one that doesn't know music could have identified the change in the tune happening.... it was so smooth and it looked so easy.... she made it look like it was effortlessly done.... they understood that she has been honing her skill for far too long to make any mistakes....

Frederick and the others already knew who the winner was... there was no way Sylus could beat her to it.... but they could not bring themselves together to stop the performance.... so they started enjoying it....

the members thought that it was going to be a tough one... but all of them were proved wrong and Lucy proved her worth well and truly...

Sylus too knew the result... so he decided to play with her for a while.... so he kept increasing her pitch.... he kept pushing her to the higher pitch.... but Lucy somehow kept up with it... she even went to the A pitch.... he knew it was waste pushing her up.... so he decided to bring the pitch down.... he brought it down as much as he can.... yet she still managed to keep up with him....

everyone understood the versatility and flexibility of her voice.... not many singers can fluctuate their voice like this.... over fluctuation can harm the throat and it can even make the person mute.... this must have taken years of practice and hard work.... she must have practiced music like it was the end of the whole world.... it was not ordinary job to do it....

the lyrics came to an end.....

Sylus proudly accepted his defeat.... he was not even the littlest guilty or had even the slightest regret about the competition and felt honoured to have met her and sung with her....

the judges as well as the audience accepted lucy's victory and applauded her... and accepted her... she was recognised by a lot of people.... especially by the ones close to her.... there was no way anyone could say she didn't win the challenge....

Lucy won the challenge fare and square...
