Day

It was a new and a magical morning in the country.....

Lucy got up and stood near the window..... looking at the beautiful scenery outside....

It was like heaven.... with all the mist covering the grasses.... fog blurring her vision.... a bright orange fire ball gleaming with heat.... clearing all the fog... and making things visible clearly.....

She heard a knock on the door....

"lucy are you up sweetie??" Asked Mrs.Robertson

"Yes mam" she said opening the door..

"Sorry to bother you lucy but the guys decided to go out and have some fun today... and they wanted you to tag along with them too!! So that you can get to know about this place a little more and it will be fun too!!.... so will you join them??"

"Sure mam.... i too wanted to roam around.. are you coming too??"

"Nah.. i feel like sitting all day and doing nothing... you guys go have some fun..."

"Ok mam..."

"Ohh by the way... stop calling me mam... call me mom like the others do..."

"Ok mom!!"

"There you go... now get ready soon... the views will be the best in morning..."

"Yes mom"

Lucy gets ready and goes down and she sees both nala and jack up and ready and waiting for lucy to go...

"Sorry to keep you guys waiting..."

"Oh no problem lucy... this lazy bag just came out too" said jack

"Will your day not end without mocking me!!" Complained nala

"It is fun to irritate you"

"Guys you can have your fight on the way... if you keep it here then you are going to miss the views" said Mrs.Robertson

"Ok mom"

All of them took off from the house and nala and jack kept fighting all the way to the top...the whole place was chaos.... whilst lucy was quietly following them...

By the time they reached the top of the mountain the whole place became as quite as an empty box....

The view from up there was marvelous.... it was a feast for the eyes.... they were surrounded by green grasses wet from the drizzle of the snow... it was like the Gods have sprinkled the dust of diamonds all over a green sheet that goes as long as their eyes can reach....whilst the hot and burning sun of desire and purity slowly melted them into the prefect shape of water..... and the ground like a bed of cotton soaking up the essence of life to give life to the puppets created by the Gods....

All of them sat there enjoying the view of the sun raising from a little spot of light to a humongous ball of fire.... they lied down on the wet grasses.... lucy plugged her earphones and started listening to songs as she was enjoying the view... the eternal fight of jack and nala had stopped from the minute they entered the top....

Lucy's heart started soothing.... she realised there were a lot of things that she hadn't seen in this world and she has to see it after all her problems were solved.... they spent hours on the top of a lonely mountain....

After a while they left to the market.... jack and nala wanted to show the culture of their country through the market..... unlike the mountain the market was a lively place.... all the people over there were genuinely happy to see each other and chat with each other... nala asked lucy to try some of her favourite delicacies.... and lucy followed her like a little puppy following its mom.... they reached a toffee shop..

"Lucy... look at this shop... this was the place that i told you.... the sell the best toffees in the entire universe... come on try some.."

Lucy tries some toffee and smiles gently....

"Do you not like it??" Asked jack

"No... they are good..."

"Then what happened?? You don't seem so happy..."

"It is just that i won't say they are the best toffees in the universe.."

The shop owner hears her say it...

"What do you mean these are not the best" questions the owner

"Sorry about that mam... it is just that you guys could let the caramel brown a little more so give it a little bit of bitterness.... so that the amount of flour you add reduces... if the amount of flour reduces the toffee won't be grainy and it will the good to eat.... these small grains make the experience of eating a toffee less enjoyable"

"And will it work if we do it like that??" The owner continued

"Sure sir... when i saw you roll the caramel and cut them... i felt like it was a little hard as the surface is not even....the toffee will have the right consistency if you add a little more butter to the caramel and reduce the flour and keep your working station a little clean and it will be better if you elevate a part of your workplace so that it makes the cutting and collecting easy...."

"You sure say it easily.... how about us .. we have to do it and it is no easy job"

"It sure is not an easy job making the best toffee in the whole universe not even the town.."

"How about you show us how to do!!"

"Sure sir.."

Lucy goes into the shop and starts preparing the caramel for the toffee.... she does the whole thing carefully and expertly... others who see her doing it are awestruck with her ebilities and the care she puts into it.... she finishes the caramel... dusts it with the flour.... works it out and adds two different colours... works them separately..... rolls them together and cuts them precisely.....

All the people in the market gathered in front of the shop like house flies gathering around sweets.... jack and nala were speechless..... after lucy completes the toffee she lets the owner taste it....

"Mmmmm...wow that was awesome.... and the ingredients you used to make this much is used to make half of this quantity by us.... you really have got some great talent there.... this is the best toffee one could ever make..... if you don't mind will you work for us??.. we will pay you really well... will you??"

"I am extremely sorry sir but i have some other work to do.... me and my friends are here to relax a little before i start working.... i hope you learned some things form this and you use it in your shop in future..."

All three of them leave that place

"Woww lucy that was insane.... u know cooking??"

"Ya i have been professionally trained for that"

"Woww lucy.... that is unbelievable.... i never would have guessed it...." said jack

"So we have been having a chef by our side all along without knowing it!!"

"Lucy will you please cook for us today" pleaded nala

"Sure nala... i too heard mom has got sore shoulders....this would be of help for her..." lucy also agreed on cooking for them...

"So we have to go shopping.... you can choose whatever ingredients you like lucy" stated jack

All of them went to the super market... and lucy was selecting the ingredients for her cook .... jack and nala went for some snack hunt....

Lucy saw a little boy trying to reach the cup noodles on the top shelf.... he was so small that he couldn't reach the shelf.... he was trying to reach it by jumping... but that too didn't work.... so lucy went near him to help him out....

"Hey there little fella... do you want some help??"

"Yes sissy... i am not able to reach the noodles... can you help me to get it please..."

"Ok which flavour do you want??"

"I want hot pepper.... i ate garlic yesterday and manchuriyan the day before.... so it is hot pepper today"

"What!! Why are you having only cup noodles?? Why doesn't your mother cook you anything??" Lucy was shocked

"Mommy and daddy are always busy with work.... so i prepare my food daily... since i am not good at cooking i have to eat this noodles everyday..."

Lucy's heart was broken... she felt terrible for that little boy....

"How about this.... sissy will teach you a simple but a delicious dish you can have everyday...."

"But i don't know how to cook"

"You don't have to cook this food... all you have to do is wash them and arrange them..."

"Woww sissy.... can i do it??"

"Sure..."

Lucy took that kid and grabbed a cabbage... carrot... tomato...bread... a water bottle

She washed the veggies took a slice of bread....leaf of cabbage...slice of tomato...some carrot slices ...covered it with another slice of bread and gives it to the boy.... the boy took a bite...and she wasn't able to stop eating...she started speaking after he chuck all the bread in....

"Wowww sissy... that was really delicious... and it is easy to cook too"

"And it is healthy too" added lucy

"You can do it with any kind of vegetable you like.... you can change one veggie one day..."

"Okie sissy..."

"And don't eat noodles only!!"

"Ok sissy"

Jack and nala saw everything that happened there.... and they saw a new side of lucy... a caring side oh her's

Lucy picked all the things that she wanted.... they billed everything and went back home...

Nala explained everything happened in the market while lucy was cooking....

Once lucy had finished cooking all of them were summoned to the dining hall.....

"Mmmm... lucy even the smell is going to fill me up" said nala sniffing all the dishes on the table

"Woww it looks mouth-watering.... it is like we are in some 3 star restaurant" quoted Mrs.Robertson

"God i am literally drooling all over myself.... please serve the food " asked jack

Lucy served the food... all of them had a hearty meal...

"Why don't you sit down now lucy.... i will serve your food...." told jack

"I will also sever you if i hadn't had so much of it.... i am not even able to move right now...." said nala

"It's ok nala....i am not hungry....but thank you jack..."

"Why is everything all right Lucy ??"

"Yes jack everything is good..... i am just full from all the snacks we had in the evening"

"You barely ate anything....and it has been really long since we ate.... are you sure everything is ok??"

"Yes jack... please don't worry.."

Jack felt like something was not alright..... living up to his expectation lucy was also upset about something....

"So if there is nothing... i would like to go to bed soon today... if it is ok!!"

"Sure lucy.... you must be tired from all the roaming toady..."

"Good night guys"

Jack didn't feel right about letting her alone.... but he felt like she was not willing to talk about it by then... so he let alone for the time being....

Lucy went into her room..lied on the bed.... plugged her earphones and started listening to songs

Even if jack decided to let her calm down for a while.... he was genuinely worried about her and decided to go talk to her... he went to her room and knocked the door.. since she had her earphones on, she didn't hear the knocking.... so jack decided to go in and see if she was alright.... she slowly opened the door trying not to disturb her if she was sleeping...

He slowly entered the room and saw her lying on the bed with her eyes closed.... she went near her and touched her hand....

Lucy jumped out of the bed and sat up....

"There there... cool down it is me... jack.... it's me...."

She collected the situation around her and calmed down

"Ohh jack... how can i help you"

"Sorry for coming in and scaring you..."

"No problem jack"

"Actually i tried to knock the door.... but you didn't respond"

"Sorry i was listening to music... i didn't hear you knock"

"It's ok..."

"So what is it??"

"Ahh yes... is everything alright... you don't seem good...did something happen??"
