Despair Rain

"Who are you?" Stellar asked.

"I am the person that will end your life? You should go on and kill her. That's gonna be your last achievement, y'know?" The man waved his hands around in a theatrical manner, showing off his wide grin, exposing a huge scar, horizontally resting on his throat, similar to a scar you'll get from getting your head cut by a guillotine.

Sensing Stellar's hesitation, he asked.

"What's the matter? Hmmm?" The man shuffled closer to Stellar.

"Are you a Knight from DOMA? What is your gain in doing all these?"

"This questioning… Hm-hm. Typical SORA justice hero." The man just chuckled as he shortened the distance between him and Stellar.

Stellar, having no more tricks under her sleeve, decided to run away at full speed. But what is her speed against a Terror Knight? Despite the man's height, he managed to catch up to Stellar almost quickly and took hold of her neck.

"Where are you going?!" The man just smiled as his white hair swayed because of his maniacal laughter. "That was so pathetic, did you SEE that?" The white haired man addressed Disidias who was clearly blinded and weakened.

"Haha, course not."

To Leon's surprise, he saw Stellar being chocked by an unknown man from a distance. "Stellar!" Leon called.

'I just left for awhile and now this happens. I can't leave you alone, can't I?' Leon sighed frustratingly.

"Leon… please escape… quickly." Stellar managed between her strained breaths.

"Oh… Another Meister? Or a vessel?" The man pondered for awhile before concluding, "Ahh. So you're her vessel? That's why this girl is so weak! She's not a Meister anymore, how pathetic." The man looked down on Stellar's small frame disappointed.

"Let her go!" Leon demanded.

"As you wish!" The man smiled and threw Stellar face down on the ground violently. "There, I let her go."

"You can take those other two I have beaten for you. And then you may leave." Leon bargained.

The man whistled as if thrilled how the events unfold. "Sacrificing others for your own safety, huh? Not bad." The man paused. "But, I hate it when weaklings tell me what to do~" The man said in a sing-song manner as he waved his index finger left to right.

"I'm just giving you a chance to leave and live." Leon shrugged, taunting his new enemy which he thought was just Rion and Disidias's ally.

"Congratulations. You just made my blood boil. I'm Cytherine at your service." The man smiled yet his eyes were blood-shot and he was filled with rage. "I'll make you suffer."

"Do it." Leon unsheathed his sword from his back compartment once again. Releasing his aura as his outward appearance changed into a Meister's armor.

The battle raged on. Both Cytherine and Leon exchanged blows like there was no tomorrow. Leon received most of the damage and blows, making his armor all worn out and his blade nearly shattered. Bleeding and wounded, he continued to persevere and fight.

"Kid. Is this all you've got?" Cytherine yawned as he sat lazily on the side of the road.

"Damn it! I'll show you… my true power…" Leon said frustratingly as he connected with his power yet again. Reaching into the depths in order to achieve an activation.

"Leon! No!" Stellar pleaded. She knew how damaged Leon is and his spiritual capacity. His] energy was unstable. It might exhaust him completely. Causing permanent damage to his spirit.

Ignoring Stellar's plea, Leon went through his activation yet again. "The world collides, I'll stay. The earth vanishes, I'll stay. From here 'till eternity, I pray." As Leon readied his blade in the air he shouted "Light Raze!", draining his energy completely letting his own aura consume him.

As the light beams disappeared, Cytherine was no longer positioned as before. He quickly dodged Leon's technique. "What the-?" As Leon looked for his enemy, he suddenly heard a voice,

"The clouds shall lament over your death. Blades of rain! Collide from the sky! Here it comes... The rain of despair. Activate! Demon Rune! Despair Rain!" Cytherine chanted.

Leon saw Cytherine and rushed over to attack him, but before he could reach him, he was struck by multiple swords, lances, daggers and spheres. The skies turned gray and instead of water, blades fell down from the clouds, mimicking rain itself.

Leon fell on his knees and face first into the ground, completely blacked out and defeated.

"How unfortunate." Cytherine dropped his shoulders, as if really saddened by what happened.

"Leon! Leon!" Stellar called as she sat beside Leon's unconscious body. 'Forgive me Leon. Don't die! Don't die!" Stellar repeated this statement in her head as she cried pathetically. 'What can I do? No amount of crying will solve this now… Oh, Leon…'

"Alright. I should wrap this up. Right?" Cytherine stood up, smiling at Stellar.

Dejected, Stellar just sat beside Leon. Thinking it would be okay to die since she have let Leon die because of her. 'Is this enough atonement? Please don't die…' Stellar thought somberly.

Cytherine went over Disidias' lifeless body. 'Aww, she died already. I haven't played with her yet. Oh well. Nevermind.' Cytherine thought as he extracted the sacred rune from Disidias and proceeded to get Stellar.

"You don't have a sacred rune, but I might just enjoy tearing you from limb to limb and sending your remains to SORA. What do you think of my magnificent plan?"

Stellar uttered a brief, "Just end it."

"We can't have that… Entertainment is scarce nowadays. I need to make the most out of this. All the others are itching for some action too, y'know?" Cytherine said as he chocked Stellar yet again and held her high up the ground.

'Don't die… Leon.'

'Don't die… Leon."

'Don't die… Leon."

This phrase repeated over and over Leon's thoughts for as long as he remembered. The last words his mother said. 'Her last will and testament was my life. I survived for a reason. And that is to not die. To live is what I am living for.' Leon pondered

"But I'm tired and powerless. There's no way I can defeat him." Leon asked.

"If you can't defeat him, you'll die. You know that don't you?" A Phantom answered.

"What should I do?"

"You need more power. You have it inside you, Leon."

"Something… I have…?"

"Your will." The Phantom paused. "Remember, you must not die. For you are my..." The Phantom paused and then a bright light surrounded Leon.

'My power… My will... Give me whatever power that will never make me lose again…' Leon thought as he recovered and opened his eyes. 'I will never let anyone die before me again. Ever!'
