Honestly, Jordan felt he could do good with Archer class. He had training in firearms, although it wasn't the same as shooting an arrow, the familiarity would be helpful. But what happens when he ran out of arrows? He was sure he would get a limited amount of arrows, he guessed he could use them multiple times, but still. . . Could he make arrows, perhaps?
There were similar issues with other classes as well, disabling him to decide hastily.
