That night sky was aglow with bright city lights.
The pale crescent moon glimmered like a silvery claw in the night sky as I gazed up at the blanket of stars that stretched into infinity.
But that tranquil night was disrupted by an explosion of light that resembled the sun rising, this brilliance plummeting toward the earth at an incredible speed.
As the light, akin to a fireball or a falling meteorite, continued its descent toward the earth, many people on the road began to pull out their mobile phones to capture the celestial phenomenon.
The same goes for me, as I have always been enthusiastic about celestial phenomena. I was not going to miss capturing that wonderful visual. As I was recording the video, I had a nagging feeling that something was wrong, but I ignored it, captivated by the beautiful sight before my eyes.
A few seconds later, that ominous feeling returned, and this time I considered it instead of ignoring it. I noticed that the meteorite was still advancing towards the ground instead of being destroyed by the atmospheric forces present on Earth. It started to break apart, with different parts falling in various directions and dissolving due to atmospheric pressure. However, a part heading in my direction was still falling with the same heat and velocity, decreasing in mass.
People around me began to panic and run as they also saw it. I started running in a different direction, not wanting to meet the same fate as the dinosaurs. But as fate would have it, I got struck by that meteor, and lo and behold, here I am, as I died there.
I still have trauma from the feeling of my body being destroyed. Yet, I think I am blessed to have received a second chance to live again. Of course, I would have been more thankful if I had been reborn as a human, but being a freaking western dragon is also nice, as I get to do some incredible things.
You might be thinking about magic, right? But no, this is not a magical world. Well, I didn't know what type of world it was, as I am trapped in a dungeon. According to the soul of a grandma dragon living here, who calls herself my master (even though I don't agree), it has power levels similar to the cultivation novels I read in my previous life. So, I think it is a cultivation world, but I still get to do some incredible things that you can't do.
Let me also tell you that the meteorite fragment I got was not just an outer space rock with different elements from the periodic table, but a freaking fragment of primordial blood essence. Can you believe it? I wasn't going to believe it a while ago, but here I am, becoming a dragon.
Anyway, as my body got destroyed, the excess energy and primordial blood started assimilating into my soul. After transporting my soul to the legacy dungeon, which was its mission, it began constructing a new body for me using the primordial blood, and I became a primordial dragon cub. Yes, a cub. I know I was only eighteen years old, but I was still an adult, even if I was only a few months old as an adult. I was very upset about it, and master grandma told me that I would become an adult dragon when I turned 20,000 years old.
Now, I have to completely inherit the legacy and conquer the dungeon (can you believe it? I will be an overpowered character from the start of my adventure), and then I will be able to venture into the world outside, which I have been dreaming of exploring and completing the mission and responsibility of primordial dragon clan.
