Difficult Escape

*Crunch* *Crack* *Crunch* *Crack*

"haah.... haah.... haah, we have been at this for about 20 minutes and we haven't made that small hole any bigger. Maybe we should keep walking about to see if there is any other spot we could attempt." Sarah said even though I was the one mainly doing the damage.

After informing sasha about we planned on doing she agreed after we let her rest a bit since, right after her transformation process was completed we dropped a bombshell on her, well a couple.

"yeah, lets keep walking around and lightly tapping the walls all over to see if there is any weak points," Sasha agreed and added. After walking on the right side of the "cave" we still haven't come across any weak points, but we did get a notification.

{Ding}

[Quest aquired: Find the hidden door guarded by the boss to leave private dungeon]

"no way!" I said in excitment while both sasha and sarah looked at each other and groaned a groan of frustration. "Why tell us now after 'we' spent close to a half hour trying to break a wall to get out of here." sasha said in a sulking way with her cheeks puffed out in a pout which made her look kinda adorable.

"I don't know, but what I can say is that we are now able to get out of here," I said to both of them, and then I brought us back to the prompt saying 'private dungeon' like this is not apart of the new world but its own seperate space for us.

"Why is this a private dungeon, and why were we able to break a small piece of it to be able to see the outside." Sarah questioned, and I followed that up with the best answer I could, "Well, from what I can come up with, it was meant to possibly show that we are not exactly trapped but trapped at the same time. It could also mean that some things have happened to where we were selected and need to be seperated from the real world so that we could become what we are now, becuase I have a feeling we are not apart of the majority anymore, we are kinda.... unique now if I had to chose a word."

"Why do you say we are unique?" Sasha asked with quizzical look that was shared along with Sarah. "Well for one, Sarah, you are a World-Elf and not a High-Elf which if I can summerize High Elves, they are like you but lesser in beauty and magical capability and talent. Now for you Sasha, you are something akin to a chimera while also not being a chimera but more like a progenitor of a whole new race that combines 3 existing races. And now for me, this one is hard mainly due to the fact that I was once human, and now a race called 'Sovereign,' along with a class that is called 'Ruler' that also comes with a rank-like system aswell." I summerized all 3 of us while also spliting up a bit to see if we could find that hidden boss room door.

Walking away from one another we used our party-chat thing to be able to talk to one another from a distance without making a vocal noise. While searching in the dark, a multiple pairs of glowing eyes appeared eyeing us without any of us even knowing we were being stalked.

While I continued to look around ahead of me in the oppisite direction from which the glowing eyes were currently I noticed something, and as I was about to talk through the chat function the hairs on the back of my neck stood straight up! In what seemed like a blink I ducked and shot away from the suprise attack while also kicking up the dirt in an attempt to try and blind my attacker.

What I didn't know was that 3 more beasts jumped out from behind me again and before my brain could even react my body automatically started moving while my brain was still in a daze. While I wanted to run away and regroup with the girls, but everytime I attempted to run I would get disgusted with myself. While everytime I chose to stay and fight willingly my heart raced and my blood started pumping witha purpose, like this is what I was meant to be, a fighter, a warrior out on the frontline for his people, for his family, and for his friends.

While I seemed to be processing all this much faster than I thought, I back stepped just enough and leaned back to dodge a lunge attack from my front and aswell from my right side seemingly almost like they were cordinating at a level that didn't seem possible for beasts. After recovering from there attempt at a dual strike, I readjusted myself and launched forward while thorwing my left leg into one of the 5 beasts that I was able to count.

This seemed to injure the beast, I in reaction opened up True sight....

What shocked me more is that (True Sight) worked like an 'analyze' skill, which I found weird and would look more into later, now all I had to do was get back into the battle.

Readjusting my stance I leaned foward to lunge at one of the beasts that was a little bit seperated from the pack which gave a small oppertunity to attack and see if I could eliminate one of them. Closing in on the beast a second jumped at me from my front-left side, so I had to stop lean back while spinning to keep my momentum to continue my dash for the stray. As I was about to reach for beast, I felt a sharp pain in my right side and as I did so, I was shocked to see the cleanest set of 3 gashes that cut right below my lowest rib.

I tried to parry the next attack that came at me from 2 different angles, and without complete manuverability I stumbled a little which casued me to fall and thankffully dodge those attacks. I regained my balance and took another martial stance, this one meant for defence and dodging, I extended my left leg foward and my right leg to the back slightly while also turning that same leg to the right and lowering my stance to be closer to the ground. A sound broke the breif silence that was create between me and the beasts.

*whistle* *crack* *splatter*

All I heard was a whistle, crack, and then a splatter as one of the beasts was killed in an instant, I then heard a pair of panicked and worried voices coming from behind me, "MIKE, ARE YOU OK!? WE RUSHED HERE AS FAST AS WE COULD ONCE WE HEARD THE COMOTION." Sasha yelled out across the small battlefield both I and the beasts and now sasha and sarah have made.

"YEAH, I TRIED TAKING THEM ALL ON BY MYSELF FOR I DON'T KNOW WHAT REASON BUT I DID, AND NOW IM REALISING THAT I SUCK AT FIGHTING, SO PLEASE HELP ME, IM OUTNUMBER BADLY!" I shouted back across the battle zone while dodging and weaving between two of the beasts.

In the next moment, I caught a mistake that just costed one of the beasts its life. I planted my right foot in the ground, I grabbed the beasts front right claw and spun in place smacking it into the other beast that was also attacking me, the beast which was light blue in color I now noticed was smashed into the other beast which I was able to tell was close a naval blue.

Releasing the limb I was holding onto, I ran towards the light blue colored beast and jumped ontop of it pinning it to the ground I started raining down devistating punches directly to its temples, eyesockets, and brain area. While doing this and causing to get myself drenched in blood and brain matter within about 2 seconds into the pounding I heard a dinging noise, but in the current moment I tuned it out and jumped back towards the beast I smashed into the wall using the beast I just killed.

(Sarah)

I threw many different types of rocks at the beasts, I pretended my hand was the bow, my arm the string, and the action of throwing the rocks as releasing the taught bow string. To my suprise, it actually worked and I kept hitting "bulleyes" being the beasts body, even though not hitting where I want to hit and not doing enough damage, I was doing enough to slow them down a little. "I hope this helps him kill off all of these bastards." I whispered to myself as I 'released' another 'arrow' towards my enemy striking it in the shoulder and bouncing off, but not before I noticed it stumble a bit. I grinned, noting that I was doing some damge to them I had to stay vigulant enough to keep Sasha safe, she was a support mage after all.

(Sasha)

I watched as Mike kept making silly and stupid mistakes that could cost him his life, I watched him constantly get sliced up while trying to dodge and attack the onslaught of attacks coming from the three remaining foes. I turned to see sarah throwing whatever she could at the beasts to do as much damage in whatever way possible to help him out. In the next moment, I heard a very pained scream, a scream none of the beasts could make. I looked directly where the scream came from and what I saw made my face go ghostly white.

I watched as mike had his bicep ripped open, his left calf had a decent sized bite taken out of it, and his previously deep cuts were now even wider due to a angled slash that landed on him. The next thing I knew was being dragged away by sarah as fast as possible and when I intended to fight back I was knocked unconsious.

(Mike)

I dodged frantically in ways that showed my panic. This panic was cause when I slowed down to try and attack one of the beasts, the beast actually made me think I had a chance to attack, and I did if it wasn't for its friends. I tried landing a punch on the beast to knock it into one of its packmates and throw their attack of course, but I inadvertenly did was allow myself to overextend while also still in the motion of attacking which prevented me from dodging in time.

This mistake caused me to receive a slash towards my bicep which was inturn ripped open, a nasty bite torn out of my left calf and another slash towards my earlier wound right under my rib worsening it, I screamed out in pain and agony. With all this happening, I did everything in my power to get enough distance away to create a obstacle to obstruct their vision or path enough to be able to make a run for it, and the former sounding easier but the latter would allow me time to heal a little.

I then calmed myself down, hardening my resolve and tried out my martial prowess one last time. I dodged once again jumping backwards while also side stepping to the right to avoid a swipe from one of the beasts on my left, with that small opening and another one of the three beasts, the closest one to me lunged towards me aiming to either bite my head off my shoulders or just slash it off with its claws, I didn't let either happen.

I repeated the same thing I did with the first 2 beasts and held onto its clawed forearm, but instead of throwing it towards the others immeditately, I took a risk, and redirected its arm towards its left shoulder joint and to my amazment, succeeded in severing its arm from its body. This cause the beast to roar, but its roar sounded more like a pain scream which cause the other 2 beasts to hesitate for a split second allowing me to spin around once more and throwing there companion back at them hitting both of them enough to throw them off balance.

Noticing my chance and my body's capabilites I knew I could punch the ground hard enough to cause it to shake and break creating both a physical and visual obstical making it hard for them to chase me down. So, I did just that, and with all my remaning strength I punched the ground so hard, I made a crator before it cracked and broke apart and created many small rocky pillars with a small smoke screen. With my chance to escape made, I bolted in the direction I last heard both the girls running in.

"That was the most difficult escape out of anything I have done in my life," I chuckled to myself as I continued to push myself harder to catch up to my girls. When I was just about to collapse I caught a glimpse of both of them. They made it about 5 miles back where we came from, sitting next to a fire was Sarah and an unconsious Sasha. I approched Sarah at a really fast speed but gradually slowing down.

She then started screaming something that I couldn't understand as I fell into her arms slowly fading into unconisousness, before I could fully close my eyes Sarah was frantically trying to wake up Sasha and as my eyes were fully closed I saw Sasha stir, and for some odd reason I knew I had a small smile on my face, I don't know why, but I felt I was not going to die today. Then my eyes shut and the darkness embraced me.
