Surrounded

A fresh development took place throughout the world.

As the undead started to mutate like humans, they also started gaining some abilities. An increased number of mutated undead have been spotted near the vicinities of survivor camps.

The mutant undead or zombies were more intelligent and harder to kill than the normal undead, who have only instincts for intelligence.

As a result of this phenomenon, there were more casualties all over the world. Because of this, militaries across the globe increased their efforts to recruit more Power Holders in order to fight the undead.

A sudden growl from the undead interrupted Alex's sleep as he lay on the couch.

After realizing that the undead surrounded the house, his sleepiness disappeared. He stood quickly and moved toward the window to take a look at the situation.

When he saw the situation outside, his heartbeat sped up, and he gulped the saliva from his mouth.

He took a deep breath to calm himself down, then went to the first floor to check the situation more closely.

As he feared, many undead were roaming the streets.

After closing his eyes for a moment, he proceeded to the ground floor to find Lisa seated on the couch, looking directly at him, her eyes full of questions.

He told her not to make any noise as he slumped on the couch and sighed.

Suddenly, he glanced at Lisa and whispered, "We're surrounded."

Her worried eyes were fixed on him. Her heart pounded as she saw the apparent helplessness in his eyes. After a short while, she decided.

Whether she lives or dies, she will go with him. Initially, she didn't dare to leave the apartment before she met him. She did, however, manage to find her way to this town after meeting him.

If death is written in her destiny, so be it. At least she can die alongside him.

His eyes fixed on hers, and he guessed what she was feeling; he shook his head and said, "Don't overthink it. I am going to go look in the garage. Maybe there is a car here."

He stared at her face as he said, "Let's get freshened up, but don't make a lot of noise. You can go upstairs."

"Ok," she muttered as she picked up her bag and went upstairs.

He stared at her for a while before he lost sight of her.

Standing up, he went to the kitchen to prepare instant cup noodles he had bought from the market.

As he thought about the solution of attracting the undead to another place, he was not too concerned about escaping this town. For that to happen, the garage should have a car.

After eating the noodles quickly, he placed the cup for Lisa in the living room. He quickly entered the garage after seeing that there was a door from the backyard leading into it. He found a Maserati parked inside.

A thrill swept through his body as he quickly opened the car's lock and made preparations to switch it on.

The way he finished preparations without making a sound was like he frequently stole cars

Following the preparations, he went inside to see Lisa eating the noodles that he had prepared.

When he entered the living room, she glanced at him as he nodded at her, signaling that everything was fine.

After picking up his bag, he went upstairs to freshen up.

After taking a bath, he came down to find Lisa on the sofa, lost in her thoughts.

Patting her shoulder, he broke her thoughts and whispered.

Lisa skittered after Alex as he made his way towards the garage.

"You sit in the car and wait for me," he whispered.

Despite being confused by his plan, Lisa trusted him completely. As she sat in the passenger seat, she awaited his arrival.

With the gun in hand, Alex ran to the roof. After his Hummer was destroyed last night, the gas-filled cans were left on the ground. Apparently, he was too hurried to pick that up; it was still lying there

It was quite obvious from the roof that there was a gas can near the Hummer. Immediately, he aimed his silencer-equipped gun toward it and fired.

BOOOOMMMMM

A blast was heard when the bullet hit the can. Upon hearing that sound, the undead started heading towards it.

He sprinted toward the Garage as soon as he got down. Upon entering the garage, he saw Lisa sitting in the car.

In the car, he started the engine and accelerated to break the door, and made his way out of the town.

An undead in the vicinity, similar to the mutated undead killed by Alex, heard the sound of the car. Turning its head in the direction of the noise, it noticed the car. Growling loudly, it ran towards it.
