Huo Guo slapped the table having it crumble into two. "Why did you stop?! You should have finished the fight. How can you give up halfway like that?"

"The boy is rational. If you want to defeat a man like that, you need overwhelming strength. He can perfectly analyze and counter my actions as if he is a wise old man. Even if I was still slightly stronger than him, I would have lost in my current state of mind." The tamer answers him calmly.

"You seem too calm for someone whose students died a horrible death." Huo Guo frowns looking at the man with suspicion.

"I am calm. I am also boiling with homicidal rage. So watch your tone." The man spoke words imbued with negative energy making the room become filled with suffocating pressure.

"But that is not why I am here, I am here for my payment. And before you quibble, remember that this day I lost my students and can not even bury their corpses." The voice is low and cold gripping people's attention instantly.

Huo Guo sneered in contempt. "You want payment for something that you didn't do? How shameless!" He had no plans of paying this man and his dead students in the first place.

The water he gave him a while ago was injected with a powerful substance that will have him on his knees a while from now. Then he will be quickly killed off to dispose of the evidence.

Kai is a very dangerous man, if he finds out that it was the Huo family who are responsible for the attack he doesn't even know what would happen. That is how unpredictable Kai is.

The started laughing just as the Huo family guards entered in a panic. "Why are you all so ill mannered?" Huo Guo threw a pen holder on the first soldier to enter.

"Sir, it is the young master. He fell during practice and is foaming from his mouth." The soldier said in a panicked voice. Huo Guo felt his heart sink, he turned to the man who is laughing even as he started coughing up blood.

"What did you do?" Huo Guo asked in anger.

"I told you. I had come for my payment. Cough cough... and you have paid it." The man fell on the ground breathing his last breath.

"Amon you sick fucker!" Huo Guo ran to his son. The young master and heir apparent of the Huo family was poisoned with a special poison that eats at his internal organs slowly as if something is slowly chewing at him.

It is not just him, later that evening three other promising Huo family's youngsters fell from the same poison. The man seemed to have taken the price literally. Giving the same pain his students suffered.

Amon was a young and promising genius of the Beast taming family in the cultivation world which is another way of saying it is the spirit and body cultivating families in the world who have many ways to improve their strength.

When he was young he had ambitions of becoming the greatest beast tamer who ever lived so he ventured into the dangerous forest of the territory and got injured to the point that his cultivation couldn't be improved beyond this level.

He has traveled for centuries looking for a way to heal his dentin but alas, his natural life was finally ending so he took in four students and a few more as time went by. He gradually became satisfied with just leaving his legacy in the hands of these talents and finally embrace earth forever but now he lost that too.

When Kai made that final stance during their fight he noted that the young man doesn't have any feelings for him. He would have probably killed him without feeling an ounce of anger or remorse because he was just defending his lands as its lord.

On the other hand the Huo family did not clearly report Kai's strength and sent him along with his students to their deaths. He has seen people like the Huo family, they will step on others to get their goals as long as they achieve what they want, they would sacrifice even the angels.

Aware that he was played and even if he managed to wound Kai he will not get his students back. Even if he fights and won killing Kai in the process it is not him who will reap the benefits.

The Huo family that set him up will enjoy the fruits of his hard work instead he will die next year anyways because his time has come.

As a results, he devised a plan to get revenge and still leave Kai to cause a headache for the Huo family. He poisoned the four most promising Huo family's youngsters and then showed himself knowing they will try to kill him.

Amon was prepared for death because he had failed as a teacher to protect his only family in this world. He was arrogant and overlooked that the world is full of terror. He deserves death so he will welcome it with open arms.

Meanwhile Kai has quickly put the entire ordeal behind him and decided to spend some time with the twins. He had been very upset about humans trying to destroy his home but he is aware they will try again because this time they failed. All he has to do is wait.

Kai will take some time off and focus on meditation and raising his children. Kai is wearing a large bear suit and playing on the carpet with his children who are holing a bear toy each.

Phil had come up with the idea to wear it when his kids kept ignoring him for the toys and it somewhat worked as now he is included into the group but they still won't let go of their teddy bears.

He was happy to be part of the magic. Even though his kids have not spoken yet, he is happy to know they will recognize him from now on.

"How sweet! Nate is pulling on your paw." Xiao Yue giggled happily at the scene. Kai and Vania are fast asleep in each other's arms. She quickly took a picture.

"I think Nate is trying to wake them." Paige said smilingly. The kids are really beautiful.

To be honest, Kai has felt empty for the most part of his days. 

He thinks this is because apart from his staff, there is no one who genuinely cares about him and his goals are fuzzy at best. Most people are driven by family, lovers or ambition. He wants to keep his twins happy and he wants to research and improve his chosen items but somehow the empty feeling has not gone away. 

He ultimately decided to take life as it comes and try to notice anything that makes him feel comfortable along the way. It has been a few weeks since the attack and many families are scrambling to show friendship to him but Kai has faked an intensive seclusion. No one who came to his place was able to meet with him. 

"Master, Mrs. Wang has come to see you. Should I tell her to go back?" Benjamin reported. Kai felt a headache coming, this woman is making these trips everyday now. Sighing, he allowed Ben to open the door. 

"Paige take the children upstairs." Kai decided to see this woman one time and hear what is it she wants. He watched her enter the room looking around in curiosity, when her eyes rested on Kai they seem to soften with some unknown emotion. 

Kai's emotions started going out of control as soon as she entered the house. 'Is this how it feels to long for someone? It is painful and sweet at the same time.' Kai, who was reminiscing about not having anyone who cares for him a while ago decided this is something he can do without. It is awful. Especially for someone with high IQ like him.

He is aware that she may not care for him at all and will glagly plunge a dagger in her heart if her precious family asked. How can he let someone with an obvious ability to hurt him deeply enter his life? It will be foolish and misguided. Feelings have no place in a world full of treachery as this one. Having made up his mind, Kai looked at the woman with a firm gaze.

"Kai, I am so happy to finally see you." The lady walked towards him but Kai gave her a look. 

"Mrs. Wang, may I help you with something?" He asked her but she didn't react at all to his cold tone. She has a pair of soft brown eyes and silky black long hair. Her figure is in great shape for a mother of two. High cheek bones and full lips. 

"Kai, I know I didn't treat you well at that time but I was ill. I promise you things will be different from now on. Can you give me a chance?" She asked with watery eyes. The woman is indeed very beautiful, no wonder Wang Yan loses his mind whenever she was involved.

Even so, Kai looked at her motherly performance and decided to rate it half a star. "Let me make something clear here today Mrs. Wang, there is no way to get back what was lost. Cruelty is a gift humanity has given itself. That powder I poured on your daughter is one of three." He said coolly making her eyes deep.

"One will temporarily build a fog around a person's magic channels making it impossible for them to access their power. One will take away their current power but they will be able to build their strength back up again if they are resourceful." 

"The last one is like a bacteria that will eat away at the power inside one's body, it will not stop until the root of this power is devoured completely. This will ensure they are never able to hold this power ever again." kai spoke and the woman now has a horrified expression on her face. 

"This is just the beginning, altering a person's inherent talent has serious consequences the body will become weak, able to become seriously ill from a simple breeze." Kai's voice has become like that of the devil in Mrs. Wang's ears.

"The one I gave to your daughter is the last one." Kai said as if dropping a bomb. The woman stood up in horror. "I know you are only pretending to care about me so that I will feel guilty and cure your daughter, this is to put your mind at ease. She will never be cured, I made sure of it. Now please stop loitering around my home I am unfamiliar with you." His chest kept feeling stuffy the more uneasy the woman's expression became.

The woman clenched her fists in what seems like anger. "She is just a little girl. Why did you have to go so far?" The earlier pitiful expression of an apologetic mother is now replaced with boundless anger and... panic.

"The punishment fit the crime." Kai pointed her towards the door. "Moreover, I tried ignoring her but she just won't leave me alone. She kept trying to harm me which she cant do now that she is weak." Kai answered her.

Feeling even more angered by his attitude, she mobilized her poison power. That's right, after being inflicted with a powerful poison for over a decade, she awakened a poison power. 

"Sir, she is about to use her power." Kai didn't move as she raised her hands and sprayed with with purple gas. 

"Then you should die for hurting my Ling'er. Why is a dirty trash we picked up hurting my family after we fed and gave you a roof over your head?" She seemed crazed as the insults continued coming out of her mouth. 

"They should have listened to me when I asked them to throw you from the highest building and let the ground break your fall." Her eyes are not dilated and her mind is not taken over by a foreign body. This is how she really feels, Kai lamented. This revelation to Kai felt like a sharp knife slowly stabbing into his heart.

Kai felt something snap. As if that one small light in the dark was ruthlessly put out. His eyes remained calm but his heart is a mess. He mentally commanded Ben to drag her out before turning around to go into his space. The poisonous gas was disposed of by his housekeeper. Luckily Ben is a robot the poison didn't affect him.

It has been a while since he came into his space and the crops have mostly matured and been planted in rotation for a few times already. Kai is pleased with the harvest especially the meat from the mutated beasts from the attack.

He went into the castle and fell asleep on his large bed hoping for a dreamless sleep. Outside the Wang family, a disheveled Mrs. Wang is thrown on the gate and left to her devices. The people in the Wang family panicked seeing the lady in this state.

Wang Yan lost his composure and pulled out a gun from his safe. "And what do you intend to do with that?" His son Wang Chen asked his father. His eyes are burning with a black fury but he is keeping his composure.

"Something I should have done a long time ago. Blow up Kai's brains all over the place." Wang Yan has veins that seem to be close to busting.

"I can't allow you to antagonize Kai, he has too much power in his hands right now." Wang Chen reasoned. But he is also clenching his hands in anger. Kai must be out of his mind if he will even hurt a defenseless woman like that.

"Father, I think that if we work together with someone else who has enough power, we can weaken Kai enough to devastate his men power and then finish him off." Wang Ning said in a soft voice from the corridor. Her pale skin and gloomy aura makes her seem like a creature of the night.
