Chapter 7: The End Of The World Begins

3rd Person's POV

The night before the end of the world, Francine sat crossed leg on the bed. She relaxed her body to wait for the awakening of supernatural powers.

On the evening of the 30th day of March, the moon in the sky suddenly turned blood red and the heavy rain lasted for three whole hours without stopping. After the rain stopped , many people became feverish and the fever persisted. The hospital is overcrowded.

In the early morning of April 1, most people with persistent fever turned into monsters. Their bodies were blue-black, with prominent eyeballs, sharp fangs and claws . These monsters have no thoughts and some only have the desire of human flesh.

They pounced on their relatives, families, doctors and nurses , biting their necks, tearing their bodies, and those who were bitten and eaten by the monsters became monsters as well.

Blood and flesh scattered on the ground . Sounds of wailings and scream of help was heard throughout the night.

At 8 o'clock in the morning of April 1, Francine woke up . Last night, she fell into a coma. Sitting up on the bed , she felt some changes in her body. Of course , it was vague but due to her keen  senses, her body felt different from before.

Sitting crossed legged on the bed , she took a deep breath and felt her body.

[ Ding ! Mistress, congratulations for obtaining the Fire supernatural powers! ]

The system notified Francine inwardly with an enthusiastic voice. Francine's breath hitched for a moment before she calmed down.

In her previous life, she obtained the water supernatural powers and the darkness supernatural powers. She didn't expect to have six abilities in this life.

Calming down her excited heart , Francine readily looked out of the window to see the situation.

Sure enough , she saw zombies wandering around the road. In her past life, when the blood rain came, she was at the school dormitory.

Yesterday, she went to drop out of school and went home to get ready for the end of the world.

In this life, she promised to change her fate .

Francine washed up , ate her breakfast and got ready to shop freely. She was now going to the shopping malls and pharmacy to hoard supplies for free.

Francine put on a black suit and black pants, then proceeded to wear a black mask and cap. She then went to get a big travel bag on her back and held a big long knife on her hand. Francine walked out of her house and went out of the gate.

The moment the gate opened , a zombie slammed its head in, opened its fangs and prepared to bite Francine's neck.

Francine reacted swiftly and dodged the zombie's fangs and claws. She took a step back, raised her knife and effortlessly chopped off the zombie's head . The black blood of the zombie splattered on the floor and Francine hurriedly avoided it and kicked the zombie without any hesitation.

The ground was full of blood and residual limbs, and the sound of fighting just now attracted the zombie's attention. Francine squinted her eyes dangerously, and slashed her long knife without any effort . The zombies in beginning were very weak, neither the strength nor the speed was as strong as the later ones. It can be said that as long as you dared to kill, you will survive in the end of the world.

Francine took advantage of her extreme speed and made a long and clean cut in the air, cutting off several heads of the zombies simultaneously. The fatal weakness of the zombies were their heads and also the weakness of the supernatural beings.

Francine looked at the blood on the ground and frowned in disgust. She left quickly and went to her car that was modified.

A man, about eighteen years old who was about to get bitten by a zombie and was saved by Francine saw her and hurriedly stopped her . " Hey , you! You can't leave me here alone ! You have to protect me here! "

Francine frowned and turned her head back coldly . " Why would I ? "

Lance Miller was an only son of a wealthy family and was pampered since birth so he developed a domineering and arrogant personality.

Last night , at the beginning of the month end of the world , he and his friends were in the bar since yesterday until this morning. He didn't want to go home , so he went to his rented villa where he lived in highschool and fell asleep on his car.

Who knows that when he wakes up, the world will change so suddenly? These ugly monsters were eating people and when he was about to go out , he was almost bitten by a zombie.

Fortunately, this girl appeared , so when he saw the girl was leaving, he was about to cry.

When Francine was killing zombies before, Lance was very afraid and only closed his eyes so he didn't see Francine clearly. After all, he was pampered since birth and was protected by his family. He was arrogant and domineering outside but he's a coward inside.

Now that Francine turned around , he finally saw her face clearly.

What a beautiful girl. Lance's eyes were filled with surprise.

Lance's eyes were full of greed. This young lady was both strong and good looking . He wants to poach this girl to follow him and protect him until he can safely go back to his family.

Lance likes gorgeous ladies especially the sexy ones. Francine was wearing a black fitted suit that hugged her figure, revealing her sexy curves and hourglass shaped figure. Her black pants also hugged her body, displaying her long and slender legs.

Lance pointed at Francine and shouted , " Hey , you! You can't leave me here alone ! You have to protect me here! "

Francine raised her delicate brows coldly , " Why would I ? "

Lance raised his chin arrogantly and said in a domineering manner , " You, follow me and I will let you live a good life. Money is no problem." His gaze was a little perverted, making Francine frown in disgust.

He thought that he would say that, Francine would willingly follow him obediently like the ordinary people he encountered or follow him like a slave like the girls he had . Unfortunately, Francine is not an ordinary person.

Francine swept her cold gaze on Lance, her aura cold and intimidating, enough to freeze a person in fear.

Lance was surprised. He didn't expect this petite young lady to be so intimidating. He didn't expect to have kicked an iron plate.

Watching Francine approach him step by step, Lance suddenly felt scared. No , he didn't want to die. He looked around for help, only to find that the people in the villas had already been gone. Looking at Francine , who was approaching like death , he couldn't help screaming. " You ! You can't kill me! My father is Reynold Miller! A well known Doctor and business man! If you kill me, you'll go to jail! "

Francine laughed coldly and mockingly. Going to jail? The least valuable thing in the apocalypse is human life.

Just when Francine was about to do it, she suddenly heard a car coming. She frowned slightly and was about to escape.

She then heard a male's voice, a familiar voice. " Cine, I'm here to pick you up."

Francine turned her head and met Max's gentle blue eyes. She was a little startled so she subconsciously blurted out, " What are you doing here? "

Max smiled and patiently repeated what he just said. " I'm here to pick you up. "

Francine paused for a moment, then decided. " I'm going somewhere."

" Where is it? " Maximilian questioned. " At the market." She answered.

Maximilian frowned in concern, " There are many zombies in the market place."

Francine shaked her head helplessly. Maximilian is very protective and concern when it comes to her. " I'll be back immediately, I promise."

She then gave him the key of her house. " Here's the key . Wait for me at the house, I'll be back immediately."

At the three months of knowing him, Francine confirmed that Maximilian was also a reborn person like herself and she trusts him. Even though she doesn't admit it on the surface, she catched feelings for him. She was too busy preparing for the end of the world to care about romance.

Maximilian had a concerned expression on his face but he sighed in defeat afterwards. " Fine , but be careful." Francine nodded and then remembered the man who was still on the floor.

She looked at him coldly. Maximilian followed her gaze and saw the man and he immediately frowned unhappily. " Who is this? "

Francine retracted her gaze. " I don't know. Some troublemaker." She then told him what happened honestly. She then turned to leave.

Maximilian gazed at Lance coldly. Dare to say and look at his Cine like that?

Lance was horrified. He didn't expect this man was even more terrifying that the girl!

" You , don't you dare kill me! My father is Reynold Miller! "

Maximilian sneered coldly. " Reynold or whatever, I don't care. Where did you get the audacity to speak and looked at my Cine like that?"

He cracked his knuckles. " Cine is only mine."

At Francine's side

Francine drove her way to the market, hitting the zombies who were blocking her way with her car .

* Bang ! *

Francine hit the zombies without any mercy . Some are crushed while some zombies got their hands and limbs cut off.

She drifted cooly, avoiding all the zombie in the road. After a while, she stopped her car and parked it in front of a shopping mall.

Francine avoided all the zombies in the road and quietly snuck in the shopping mall. Inside the mall were three wandering zombies. Francine easily sliced their heads and first headed in the aisle full of food.

She's going to shop for free today.

First, Francine went to the aisle where chocolates were displayed and swiped all of it in one go.

Next , she went to the aisle full of junk foods and chips . She swiped all the chips she wants and left some for the survivors.

Then, she came across a locked warehouse. System, can you scan what's inside of this warehouse?

The system responded instantly, [ Yes , mistress....Scanning.....Ding! ]

Francine waited for a few seconds. [ Mistress, this warehouse contains various kinds of meat. There are pork, beef, chicken , turkey, and even sausages. ]

Francine was instantly ecstatic. She pulled out an axe out of her space and broke the lock easily.

Francine happily hoarded all the things in th shopping mall and went home as she promised.

On the other side.

A man about in his forties but looks like in his thirties was sitting on a sofa. Beside him was a gorgeous woman who was also about in her forties but looks like in her thirties.

On the opposite side of the sofa was an identical looking men in their twenties.

" How is the investigation? " The man who looks like in his thirties asked his assistant. His name is Harold Reid, a powerful business man in the America. Beside him was his wife, Francesca Reid.

On the opposite side of the sofa were their eldest twin sons, Francis Reid and France Reid.

The assistant pulled out a folder full of pictures. " Master, the investigation is going well and we managed to get some news about the young miss."

The assistant's words caused the four to stand up in excitement. " Really? Quickly, tell me! " Harold looked at his assistant eagerly.

Harold and Francesca had a daughter but she was later stolen in the hospital and they never gave up finding her.

They looked for her for sixteen years now and their daughter must be sixteen years old this year.

The assistant gave him the folder and Harold received it with shaking hands.

Inside the folder was a picture of a sixteen year old girl. Her hair was jet black , her skin was very fair and her apricot eyes were cold but stunning.

Francesca looked at the girl in the picture and her tears flowed out. " Is...is this our daughter? " She questioned as she sobbed, her voice barely a whisper.

" Yes, I investigated that Ray Smith only had one daughter. His daughter was only Kendra Smith."

Francesca sobbed. " She looked so different."

That's right. Francine Smith is their daughter. Her full name was Francine Emerald Reid.

The four had just undergone a rebirth . That's right , rebirth. They were reborn.

After waking up , they immediately went to investigate their long lost daughter/sister.

In this life, they vowed to give her the love and affection she deserves.

As for the one who hurt her, they'll surely take care of it.
