The first time I blowed up a building would be the school raid. Not looking back me and Serial gripped the top tight, and slide down. My thighs burning again the friction of the thick fibre. Hitting the ground alongside Serial, we ran let hell hounds on a scent, ducking into the overgrown voyage as the other 'gangsters' went past us in a rush to put the flames, looking at each other we allowed one high five, before..... Well safe to say that we burnt the whole place down, did a masquer and somehow got 42 former-slaves to follow us along. And we met Jessa who asked to join us. All in all a normal day for crazy duos like us.

The first time humanity had hope off going back to the timed before the apocalypse. Was when we met a scientist, specially a scientist working in vaccines and viruses, before the apocalypse struck. She believed that the Zombies were caused by a failed version of a vaccines for Covid-19 (Oh, ya, I totally forgot about that), Though she wouldn't really cause it a failed version since when it was released, people stopped getting Covid-19. The people who got turned to zombies, were just people whose vaccines chemically reacted with their blood. They later spread the chemical reaction to other being they deem 'human', in hopes of finding a suitable 'host'. Miss Harvey, the scientist, had told us the possibility of making drug that could allow humans to be immune to the chemical reactant, though this who have already been infected for over 30 minutes or have a fatal wound couldn't be saved.

The first time I faced a hoard of zombies over 100 was when we were getting a blood example from a 'king', one of the four, thankfully they were spread on four sides of the world, so we didn't have to deal with more then one. I don't really remember what happened, all I know is that out of the 55 survivors only 10 survived, including Jessa and me, Serial had died among the tide. Jessa had gotten the blood example that was tossed from a soldier under the tide of zombies. I was thankful for the fact that I had too spend all my thoughts on how to get past the zombies and give the blood examples to the scientist. And in my angst in loosing Serial, I jumped into the mass of green flesh.

And that partly how I got into this situation, I had turned into a zombie and Jessa had beheaded me using my own AXE, I guess the saying goes, your most treasured thing is what kills you. So now I float in amass of black darkness, musing on the past. And during that time I realised something, I had to treasure the times I had as they'll only happen once in a lifetime. Though It was probably to late to realise that.

An apocalypse would never happen again, well at least not a zombie one, maybe one from global warming though?

I'll never get to travel through the sewers

I'll never meet a serial killer, who would become my most trusted friend and ally in battle.

I'll never get to blow a building up or meet a girl who can field a gun life a bat. (She hit my head with it when we met)

I'll never wear the queens crown or sceptor, or sit in the jury's seat's

I'll never get to meet scientist that live in evil looking labs.

Or fight an angry horde of flesh eating zombies.

Those were things that I can't turn time back to do, but can be satisfied in, in the future and present.
