Levana Adira: Reborn [Part 1]

"No, it's impossible! Why didn't you tell me you had the thunder superpower?" Andrew Pi shook his head in disbelief.

"I keep it hidden to ensure my protection. It can be difficult for individuals to possess superpowers, and even at present, only a small number of people have dual superpowers. Unfortunately, these individuals are often the targets of envy and jealousy from others. 

If these people were to discover that I possess not just one but three superpowers, I would become a prime target for their envy, and I would be unable to find peace of mind. Therefore, I have concealed my powers and shared this secret with no one."

Andrew Pi suddenly had the urge to laugh. Why did he choose to betray Levana? 

Because he had weighed his options carefully and come to the conclusion that Levana could no longer offer him any significant benefits, hence his choice to turn on her.

During this catastrophic doomsday world, survival was a daunting task for the weak and powerless. The only hope of survival was to possess superhuman abilities. 

The base leaders highly regarded the powerful superpower users because they could protect and defend the base from zombie waves. Their extraordinary abilities were vital in ensuring the base's safety and its inhabitants' survival. So, it's illegal for others to force them to do experiments.

After deciding to betray her, he took precautions to ensure that Levana's disappearance could not be traced back to him. 

He even secretly made a secret deal with Jane's family to bring Levana to the laboratory for an experiment.

He even ensured that the other base leaders were kept in the dark about this, or else they would have resulted in deadly consequences for everyone involved in this kidnapping.

Levana is a powerful superpower user, so when he made the move, He took extra precautions and tripled the ability suppressant he gave to her so that she would not be able to escape this place.

And now that she can still use her superpower, that only means that others would know what happened here!

Seeing the despairing look of Andrew Pi, Levana sneered as she said,

"You can only die here!" - Levana coldly said as she rolled up a purple and white lightning and threw at the two people before her.

"Zap Zap"

Shrieks suddenly sounded, yet it died down quickly. Andrew Pi and Jane's bodies instantly split into charred bodies.

As Levana laid her eyes on Andrew's charred remains, she was struck by an unexpected realization - she felt no heartache, no sadness, not even a hint of grief. It was then that she realized that she had never loved Andrew, nor had she ever really liked him.

In fact, the only reason she had allowed him into her life was because she had lost so much during the doomsday and felt utterly alone and abandoned.

And Andrew Pi had used this opportunity to show her his gentleness and concern, and she had responded with a momentary burst of soft-heartedness. But now, as she looked at his lifeless body, she was forced to confront the truth - there had never been any real connection between them.

Levana turned around and made her way towards the other operating table. As she laid her eyes on Valerie's pale and unconscious face, her heart sank. 

She couldn't help but gently caress Valerie's face as she whispered in a remorseful voice,

"I'm so sorry. I failed to protect you."

She only discovered more than a year ago that her younger sister's daughter is alive and living with her father in B base, so she left the Southern Base and came here. After confirming that Valerie was her niece, She decided to stay here In B Base and occasionally visited her.

Valerie was born as an illegitimate child into the Wu family since her parents are not married. Despite her status, she was doted on and well-fed by her family because she was the only girl of her generation. 

After learning that she, Levana, the powerful dual superpower user, is Valerie's mother's older sister, they welcomed her with open arms and treated her like a cherished guest.

Seeing that Valerie grows up happy and well-protected, Levana is pleased to reciprocate this kindness by helping the Wu family when they need her assistance.

Now, it looks like the Wu family is a cold-blooded one. In front of their interest, They were willing to send Valerie here to be experimented on.

Holding Valerie's soft, pale hand, Levana couldn't help but sob as she hugged her body. If she hadn't foolishly believed that the Wu family loved her niece and wouldn't harm her, she should have returned to the Southern Base along with Valerie. It was all her fault. If she had taken her away when she confirmed she was her niece, maybe everything wouldn't have happened.

"Zap Zap Zap"

As Levana rose to her feet, she summoned a more potent bolt of lightning and directed it at her niece's body, instantly reducing it to ashes.

"Sorry for personally killing you. But this is the only choice I have. We couldn't escape this laboratory at all. So rather than being used as an experiment, We should just die and let this laboratory be buried with us."

Levana said as her beautiful pale face was full of madness, as her body surged with extreme power, blood started to sip out of her lips, eyes, and ears, and even her skin began to crack as blood emerged. With the crazy look in her eyes, she looks more frightening than a devil!

"Destroying this place would create a great commotion, making it impossible for the Wu family to conceal it any longer. It's a shame that I won't be able to witness the reactions of those who stumble upon the destruction and realize what has happened to this place."

With those last words, Levana released the accumulated power of thunder.

"KABOOM"

A rumbling sound suddenly resounded through the entire base.
