Chapter 53

Edward could not consult with the others, so he made a decision about what he should do. They had carried out a second summoning by then and the bodies left after the demons met were difficult to explain. He would need some kind of evidence to convince them that he was telling the truth.

He took them to his office where the laptop computer rested on the top of his desk. He asked them to sit and then showed them the pictures of the transformations and some shots of the ensuing battle. The detectives could not believe what they were seeing. Had they not read the autopsy report and its odd conclusions they probably would have laughed. What they were seeing however, made perfect sense.

They were then shown the book which contained the summoning spell. Edward told them how Jane could see the dark hearts, he, at the time, had believed, but never seen and Hannah had escaped from Carl. Their plan had been to call Carl with a view to saving Anthony. They had been successful.
