33 Decision of Hinata and Tenten

The sun was setting at the far end of the horizon. The orange rays of the sun covered the entire river shore. Trees dimmed the light in some areas, not willing to let any sunrays fall to the ground. The crunching of leaves was heard occasionally, caused by animals running around.

On the river shore, two girls stared at each other. Both of them had knitted eyebrows, not knowing what the other was doing there.

"Hinata Hyuga ── You are Neji's cousin," Tenten spoke, finally recognizing who the girl with the byakugan was.

"And ── Who might you be?" Hinata asked, inquiringly.

"I'm Neji's teammate; you can call me Tenten... May I ask what you are doing here?"

Tenten was baffled. She was thinking of having a romantic date with Naruto. However, what greeted her was another woman. She didn't know what to think of the situation.

"I came here to practice with Naruto," Hinata said.

"Mee too…" Tenten said, confused.

Now both of them were staring at each other, not understanding the situation. But they didn't do anything else after hearing that Naruto had asked them to come.

Their stare contest was broken when they heard the sound of footsteps from the side. Turning their heads to the side, they saw Naruto running towards them.

"Naruto!" Both Hinata and Tenten shouted excitedly.

Naruto, who was running towards them, had a cold sweat on his face.

'Thank god.' He thought seeing they haven't done anything drastic. Yet.

"Er ── Nice to see you, Hinata, Tenten," Naruto said, looking at them both.

"Naruto-kun… What is she doing here?" Hinata said. Her arms were wrapped around Naruto's hand as she snuggled closer to him.

Tenten, who saw this, was fuming. How could she just watch some random woman hug her man before her?

"Get away from him," Tenten said as she pushed Hinata away. To which, Hinata looked at Tenten with a murderous gaze.

Naruto didn't have time to think as they both got into attacking positions, ready to pounce on each other.

"Waaaaait!!!" Naruto yelled, coming between both of them. "Please let me explain."

Hearing this Tenten and Hinata calmed down. However, their stares felt like piercing daggers to Naruto. Tension made the air heavy. Naruto felt like him being stared at by two angry hyenas.

"I ── I'm sorry Hina… I'm sorry, Tenten."

His apology made them further apprehensive.

"I wanted to tell you sooner… But ── I was afraid that I would lose you both. I just ── didn't have the courage." Naruto spoke with a downcast face. His hands were clenched tightly. "I love you both... I really do. ── Please forgive me for hiding this from you."

"What are you saying, Naruto-kun?" Hinata said, with a betrayed face. "Wasn't I enough for you?"

"No! ... That's not it, Hina. I ──"

"I don't understand... Why did you hide this?" Tenten said cutting off Naruto.

Both Hinata and Tenten felt betrayed. However, they both knew what Naruto had done for them all these years. They only felt angry at Naruto for hiding it from them all these years.

"I just… I was just afraid of losing you," Naruto said, looking straight into the eyes of Tenten and then Hinata.

Hinata and Tenten felt complicated, looking into Naruto's eyes. They could clearly tell it was filled with pure concern. Despite that, they didn't know what to say or do for that matter.

'Ah… I messed it up. Didn't I?" Naruto thought mockingly.

He had no idea how to pacify them. It's not like he had any experience. So he was as helpless as Hinata and Tenten.

Naruto stepped closer to both of them, deciding he would be fully honest with them.

"I do have another girl... Although I cannot mention her name right now due to some reasons." He said as he held conflicted Tenten's and Hinata's hands.

"Haaah," Tenten sighed, still having a hard time processing everything.

"Will there be any more in the future then?" Hinata asked, tears threatening to fall from her eyes.

"…"

Seeing Naruto's awkward expression, Hinata didn't need any more words to get the meaning behind the silence.

<Naruto's pov>

I have revealed everything to them now. I do not know whether it was rushed or not. However, I felt like this was the best chance to do so.

I have known Hinata and Tenten since I was six years old. Kitsune; even earlier than that.

So it would be impossible for me to choose one over the other. The memories I shared with them cannot be erased just like that.

I clutched their hands tighter, nervously waiting for their answer.

Although I didn't feel any resistance, they didn't hold my hand back either. Both of them had heavy expressions.

This only added to my worries.

After what felt like an eternity, Hinata spoke.

"Naruto-kun, I don't like you having other women."

Hearing this, my heart sank.

'What should I do?'

That question repeated itself in my mind like a broken recorder.

However, her next words brought me untold relief.

"But I'm willing to accept that if it's with you because I love you."

I squeezed her hand tighter, seeing tears streaming down her face. I got closer to Hinata and placed her head on my chest as I stroked her back. I could clearly feel her quivering.

Tenten, who saw this, felt left out. She knew she had to make a decision now. She couldn't just forget the help Naruto has given her throughout all these years and the moments they shared together.

Even her motivation during training was to be strong enough to stand by Naruto's side.

How could she just leave him?

"I- I love you too, Naruto." Tenten said as she was sobbing, "I too am willing to accept you. No matter what the situation may be,"

Hearing this, Naruto's heart warmed. He was thankful that he had such understanding girls.

"Come here," Naruto gestured with his left arm, beckoning for Tenten to come.

"Mmm…" Tenten came running to his hug, tightly latching onto him.

Seeing them crying, Naruto held both of his girls in his arms and kissed their foreheads with a loving gaze wanting to console them. This only made Tenten and Hinata hold him tighter than ever.

At this moment, all three hugged without caring about anything. Everyone felt each other's rapid heartbeat.

'Wait a bit Kitsune ── It won't be far before you join us" Naruto said to himself, as remembered his cute foxy girl.

After a long time of hugging, Tenten and Hinata parted with Naruto reluctantly. However, a competitive gaze could be seen in each other's eyes.

"This doesn't mean I approve of you being with Naruto-kun. Remember that." Hinata said, acting like she was the main girl.

This ticked Tenten off. "Hmph! … Me neither" Tenten said, "Only I'm good enough for Naruto. But because Naruto likes you, I'll allow it."

Then they started bickering as if to determine who the main girl was. Seeing this, Naruto had a headache.

"Everything would be okay." He mumbled, reassuring himself. "── Right?"

[[[ 5000 years later ]]]

"Girls, that's enough!"

Naruto came in between them, hoping to stop their competition for supremacy.

"But ──"

"No buts" Hinata was cut off by Naruto.

"This isn't over yet." She said, looking at Tenten who just ignored her.

"Don't be mean Hina" Naruto whispered into Hinata's year making her steam through her ears.

"O-okay"

"Good girls get a kiss," Naruto said as he kissed Hinata.

Hinata was self-conscious since Tenten was there. So she covered her face with her hands not willing to let Tenten see her embarrassed face. She had to maintain her looks in front of her.

Naruto looked over at Tenten; she was pouting. Knowing why, he walked over to Tenten and kissed her too. However, she was really aggressive. Naruto had a hard time breaking away from her kiss as she locked her arms around his neck. But he couldn't say he didn't like it.

Hinata, who saw this, was reluctant to be second to her. So she also grabbed Naruto and kissed him in front of Tenten. Now Naruto looked like a maiden molested by two people.

Naruto didn't mind them fighting this way. As a man of culture who could say no to something like this.

"When can we meet our new sister?" Hinata asked Naruto after her 'fight' was over.

"Soon… I cannot tell you for sure."

Hinata nor Tenten didn't inquire any further about it, seeing that Naruto had a hard time talking about it.

"Its getting dark." Naruto said looking at the sun, almost swallowed by the mountains. "Shall we go?"

Tenten and Hinata nodded, intertwining their fingers with Naruto's each hand. No one spoke much during their walk; they only silently enjoyed each other's touch.
