Invasion? I’m busy
Logan went back up to the room that Togo has reserved for the event. He entered to find a grinning Togo and a defeated man who he identified as Shikano Gen, sekibayashi's sponsor. Because Logan won Togo probably made a boat load of cash.
She waltzed towards him with her shark grin widened and smacked his back. "Well done Logan, your doing amazing and making mama lots of cash". He shrugged his shoulders and said "sure". Logan then looked to robin who was on her phone so he went to sit beside her while the CEO's talked business.
"Watcha reading robin?" "Hmm oh! Logan, nice fight. I'm reading the manga to determine when the invasion should happen chronologically". Logan raises his eyebrow.
"No point" "what?" "There's no point in that robin, with us here the timeline will have changed slightly meaning it'll either speed up or be delayed".
She widened her eyes at the valid argument.
"Another thing that's different is that they held two fights in one day, then they are having two fights tomorrow and finally a last one which would be me against either the fang or kuroki gensai. My guess is it'll happen sometime tomorrow".
She put on her inquisitive look "and why's that?" "Cause that's when the other faction will lose their last fighter and try for a hostile takeover, it'll be stopped easily and then the semis take place"
Finding no error in his logic she decided to do some spy work on Hayami Katsumasa and Julius Reinhold. The night flew in and the people on the island were either celebrating or despairing at the best places on the matches. Tomorrow Logan is to face against wakatsuki Takeshi and then progress on to either Kure raian or Ohma.
Honestly Logan couldn't care either way, he couldn't learn their techniques because of how self destructive they would be. The Niko style that Ohma uses requires the advance and Logan doesn't want to mess with his body and particularly the heart.
The Kure techniques rely on their release and raian doesn't use them in fights anyway. Lastly wakatsuki has his blast core but that's due to his mutated physiology which doosik Kim most likely did not possess so Logan can't take his moves.
He spent his time in a much better way, talking with the nurse and inviting her back to his place after some drinks. They had a wild night that ended at 3am. Logan had his fight at 2pm so he just planned to sleep till then. Unfortunately robin was a little miffed that she missed out on breaking in the new girl. Kokomi wasn't alarmed at the fact that Logan had multiple women as some fighters do.
She was in college and experimented a bit while studying so she didn't mind the company. Robin then gave Logan a proposition, if he wins the entirety of the competition he can have all of them at once.
Logan attained enlightenment at the meer thought of it so happily agreed. The mission was to get to the quarter finals and winning the tournament was optional. He happily agreed not realising that robin just motivated him to get out of bed with something he would have gotten anyway.
"I believe they are called big brain moves" robin murmurs to herself before chuckling about how fascinating other world cultures are. So she dragged Logan to the box to watch the other fights that progressed exactly as they did in canon.
At around noon the rebellion started, the comms
Jammed, the electricity turned off and men in white suits began appearing. They made their way to the CEO boxes where Logan was power napping to regain energy.
Robin knew they were coming with her devil fruit so casually alerted Togo that armed men where heading their way. This spooked the other CEO's as the fighters where either in the infirmary or the waiting rooms. Kurayoshi Rino then casually points out that Logan is here which made the panicked entrepreneurs turn to him.
He was a sleep and scratching his ass which made them feel that they were doomed. The secretary's of Rino tried to wake him up but he wouldn't budge. "Is he made of stone or something" otoichi asked while mion replied "a stone gorilla". Rino thought about contacting rei with a shout so he'd flash here but noticed Togo wasn't panicking.
The men stormed the room and pointed their guns and demanded they surrender peacefully and follow them. Naturally the chicken shits complied while the real moneymakers were unmoved. One of the white men grew annoyed as he spotted that they crowded around a sleeping Logan.
He fired a bullet upwards which made Logan awaken as he groggily sat up straight. Robin chimes in "good morning snorlax" "how do you understand those references?" He asked ignoring the hostage situation. He looked at the clock that showed he was fighting in 20 minutes so got up to get ready.
As he headed for the door the armed men got in his face and started making demands so he cleaned out his ears. Like the punks they are they felt disrespected so one pulled the trigger. "Tekkai" was all Logan said as the bullet bounced off his shoulder.
Everyone widened their eyes as they began to realise that he hasn't faced a striker in the matches only grapplers. Could he be a secret weapon or something. Togo was unmoved as she already knew that Logan was bullet proof when he wanted to be. Robin made that obvious when Togo tried to move her in bed leading to an unbelievable explanation about what rokushiki are and how only chosen ones can train it. The usual BS she spouts.
The armed men grew panicked at Logan's presence so reached for their brawling weapons. Knives, collapsible spears, katana, one dude even had tonfa which drew Logan's attention. He watched the tonfa user carefully while absorbing his stances.
He felt he'd like to try that weapon and knows that it's based on karate so he could pick it up. He'd face karate users before like Daniel park. Another guy fired at Logan again hitting his breast pocket. Logan looked at his Hawaiian shirt "my sister bought me this asshole". Before the man could say so what he was blown through a wall by a might push kick.
The other men gave into fear and screamed a war cry before rushing him. The CEO in the room watched as Logan dismantles these men with ease. Their weapons either broke off his body or he stole them and used them himself. He picked up the tonfa users weapons and began giving them a test run.
He felt they were comfortable but he needed an actual users to face him so he could get the knowledge. Maybe the reward he gets here could give him a tonfa user reward. That'd be awesome.
Logan just kept trashing the white suits and robin began finishing some off them off covertly with shigan not drawing attention to herself. She felt that she needed to do something to earn a reward. The location of the road poneglyphs is probably worth a lot of contribution.
Metsudo began making his announcement that the situation has been handled after Logan had beaten or killed most of the assailants. He didn't feel bad about killing as long as it was in self defence. He asked Togo if he still had to fight today so she went and asked. The other CEO's who watched him in action made the decision to bet on him. Rino in the corner who made her presence smaller so the men wouldn't bother her felt worried that rei couldn't handle Logan.
Robin just went back to her phone and doing more research.
