Massive Remnant

" Wow..."

Ruby exclaimed as she looked at the massive city that was part of Silva's dreamscape; Tall buildings, neon lights, holographic displays, odd streamlined vehicles on the roads, and the sheer variety of people wandering through the streets. The people of the dream world were strange to her as some of them seemed to have metal implanted in them, and some even had fully robotic limbs or even abnormal eye implants. What drew the cookie monster's eye the most was the massive mega-building that looked like a super apartment complex.

" Dang. I knew this would not be easy, but this is honestly ridiculous. I think this city is even bigger than Weiss's in her dreams or even Vale."

Yang complained as she took in the sights. Weiss also voices her thoughts.

" This city... It seems gritty and unclean. I mean, there's even a massive pile of trash bags in the middle of the street there."

The snow princess pointed, and Pyrrha added.

" I wonder what this city represents for Silva? I mean, with me, it was mostly a replica of Argus with some additions that represented important turning points in my life."

" And my dream world was based on some words of my grandfather, that told me to build a castle in my heart to protect what is dear to me."

Weiss also said as she did not expect Silva's dream world to be a massive dirty city. Glynda finished surveying the area around her for any possible threats and got everyone's attention.

" Ms.Rose, Schnee, Xiao Long, and Nikos, please check to see how many coins we have between all of us."

Everyone took out four coins each which meant a total of twenty coins for them to use. Everyone then took a moment to check out their outfits.

Ruby was wearing a black slim fit long sleeve shirt with a scattered white rose pattern along the right side of her shirt with a red shoulder cape on her left with her emblem emblazoned on it in black. She had on a red mini-skirt that had a black leather belt on had a holster on the back of it for her weapon. She wore pantyhose that was dark red in color and black combat boots with red soles and red shoe laces.

Weiss was wearing a long sleeve white pencil dress that had a snowflake pattern on it that was just a shade or two darker than the rest of the dress with her back exposed. She has on black pantyhose with white pumps on. Her hair was tied in a neat lopsided ponytail leaning toward her right side that had a sliver snowflake accessory holding it in place.

Yang had on a yellow short sleeve cutout bodysuit with a black bomber jacket with her emblem on the right side of it in white and fingerless black gloves. She wore a pair of black short shorts with a purple belt with bronze studs on it. She had on yellow stockings with brown strapped boots that had orange accents.

Pyrrha was wearing a brown bustier with gold accents over a dark red thin mesh that covered her torso and a pair of gold tech goggles covering her forehead, plus long red gloves covering her arms up to her shoulders. She wore a brown mini-skirt with a red belt that had a gold buckle with her emblem on it. She had on gold-yellow stockings and brown wedges with gold accents.

Glynda was wearing a black trench coat with purple lining over a white tank top that did little to hide her ample breast. She had on a black pencil with purple pantyhose and high heel boots. Her hair was in its usual bun but was held in place by a bronze tiara accessory that had purple gems in it.

" I got to admit, Silva has some style. I want to see if I can recreate this outfit in reality."

Yang said as she liked her clothing, and Weiss added.

" It galls me to admit, but I also find my dress appealing."

" Whoa! Check out, Crescent Rose!"

Ruby exclaimed as she took out her weapon, and it became a rail sniper gun with beam blades for the scythe blades. The weapon fanfic was swooning over her sci-fi weapon as she examined it closely. The blonde found her weapon, which transformed into a pair of heavily armored yellow gauntlets with spiked knuckles and doubled the ammo capacity than her weapon in reality. Weiss was stunned when her weapon turned into a beam rapier, and her Dust revolver turned into a bracelet that could hold more Dust.

Pyrrha's shield was a collapsible arm guard that could work like a buzz saw and still be throwable. Her javelin turned into a beam spear-coil rifle hybrid. Glynda's riding crop stayed much the same but slightly more ornate with bronze engravings. Everyone took in their changes before the younger members of the team deferred to the strict professor. Ruby asked Glynda.

" How should we handle scouting, Professor Goodwitch?"

The strict professor considered the question, then answered.

" For now, we should split into two teams. Ms.Nikos will be with me as we go in one direction while the rest of you head in the opposite direction. Please make a note of the ridiculously large apartment complex, as it will be our meeting point to regroup in an hour."

" Okay, Professor! Yang, Weiss, let's see what sort of place Silva has!"

Ruby led her team away, and Glynda went in the opposite direction with Pyrrha. Not yet aware of just how massive this dream world truly is.

" So it's Ruby, Weiss, Yang, Pyrrha, and Glynda. Weiss and Pyrrha are not a surprise since they are allergic to the Nightmare and could help navigate my dream."

I muttered to myself as I brought another mirror to keep track of both groups. I wonder how they are going to react that they are only at ONE city and figure out just how far away I could be. Good thing I had set up some guides and hints; otherwise, who knows how long it would take them to find me and the Nightmare. Plus, there is plenty of transport for them to help reach me if they make use of it. Oh, it looks like Ruby's group is about to run into its first bit of trouble.

" Die, you Tyger Claw scum!"

A man that looked more machine than flesh as he started to gun down a group of people with lots of tattoos and exaggerated hairstyles. The group began to yell back in a foreign language as they fought back against the Borg freaks, with Ruby, Weiss, and Yang caught in the middle. The three quickly found cover, and the snow princess complained.

" Of course, chaos is rampant in that womanizer's dream."

" Yeah, yikes, people just start shooting at each other out of nowhere."

The blonde agreed, and the cookie monster said.

" On the bright side, we get to test our weapons, at least."

Ruby took out her weapon and shot at the machine men with her rail sniper rifle. Weiss sighed and joined in as her beam rapier easily pierced one of the machine men. Yang crushed the gunners under her metal knuckles and accidentally triggered the automatic firing of her shotgun rounds which, unfortunately, hit one of the members of the other group that was attacked. They cursed in their language and started shooting at Ruby's group as well, despite Yang apologizing.

After the group was taken down, what seemed like a police force showed up, and the three were brought in for questioning. They had to use one of their coins to pay a fine for starting a fight in the middle of the city. Their journey is just starting.
