Annual Rebirths to End the Empire

"I didn't want things to end like this." She said, looking around. The empire she had tried so hard to protect was destroyed. Plagues, cross-empire wars, nothing was left. She clenched her fists, nails digging into skin. Drawing blood. Suddenly, her head jolted up as voices echoed. Whispering in her ear. Temping. "Your curse is to undo what was written on paper. Nothing more, nothing less." She smiled. Yes, the curse. The curse would save her. "So send me back. Give me Endless rebirths. Until I get it right." ~~~~ Pls help dis rando author ;-; I have dirt bank account and dirt writing skills but gold imagination ~~~~ Please give me viewssssss art release every 5k ~~~~ *read till at least the second chapter before you decide to ditch it pls* - UPDATES RANDOMLY (deal with it, suckers!) CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE - Yeeted into this dingy cell

CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE - Yeeted into this dingy cell

As soon as I stepped back into the palace, I was, like I had expected, yeeted into the county jail. And of course, I didn't tell anyone about my newfound power.

The jail cell was the worst part, though. A small dingy cell, barely big enough for a bed in one corner, and a sink in the other. Thats it. No toilet, even…?

I sighed, sitting on my bed since it was the least itchy spot. No one had bothered to give me food, so I was left on a dangerously long fast - two weeks, to be exact. It was doable if I didn't move, but I could only spend so much time sleeping before my screaming stomach woke me up. At least the moon was pretty.

"You're lucky, you know. To be so free." I said to it. The moon didn't reply, so I just sagged facefirst into the mattress instead. Time to sleep. Then a voice shattered the silence - one I thought I would never hear again, at least not for this year. "Are you awake, my lady?"
