I couldn't believe that Koda was Asa. Noa was going to have a stroke. Koda rushed me in through the treasury and portal, and soon I standing at a familiar smattering of floating islands. Koda was frowning in worries - and I saw why.
Before, the entire layer had been sunlit, but now it was dark.
"This never happens," Koda muttered. He held out a warm palm, I took it. He's only doing this because there's no other choice. I chided myself. And then, with a swish of white feathers, Asa dove off the cliff.
With a few more flaps, we crossed into the observatory, where the angels supposedly were. Then I saw the person I had suspected all along.
