"Welcome back Annie" said Matt as he smiled.

"Thank you" said Annie as she smiled.

"Won't you give her a hug?" Maddie as she looked at Matt and she smiled and Annie looked at him as well.

"Ahh noo, she's not too strong, and I don't want to hurt her" said Matt as he explained.

"That's alright Matt" said Annie as she smiled.

"So how does it feel being in our room again?" asked Maddie as she smiled.

"Well it feels weird, but the same" said Annie.

"But overall, it feels good to be back" said Annie as she smiled and Maddie smiled at her.

"Oof gosh, I almost forgot" said Matt as he suddenly remembered something.

"What is it?" asked Maddie as she looked at Matt and Annie looked at him as well.

"I forgot that my Grandfather wants to see me right now, so I need to go now" said Matt.

"Ooh okay" said Maddie as Matt turned to look at Annie.

"Okay then" said Annie.

"I will be back soon" said Matt and Annie smiled at him as he left their room and he closed the door behind him.

"Not to lie, but I think that he's Professor Sapiens favourite Grandchild" said Maddie as she laughed.

"You think so?" asked Annie as she looked at Maddie.

"Oh you just need to see the way Professor Sapiens is with him, he's always so soft" said Maddie as she laughed.

"No thank you very much, but I don't think I'm ready to see Professor Sapiens face right now" said Annie as she laughed and she shook her head.

"Oh but Annie, he has really changed, trust me" said Maddie as she laughed.

"Gosh, I find that hard to believe" said Annie.

"Even though I have nothing against him at all, but you know how mean he was to me initially" said Annie as she sighed and she shook her head.

"Well he's very nice now, like an actual Grandfather" said Maddie as she laughed.

"Wow" said Annie as she was surprised.

"Anyway, I need to use the bathroom" said Annie as she stood up and she walked over to the bathroom door.

"Okay, do you need me to help you??" asked Maddie as she laughed.

"What?? No, no of course not, I can go myself" said Annie as she laughed and she shook her head.

"Alright, I am just checking" said Maddie as she smiled and Annie laughed as she shook her head, what exactly was Maddie checking??? Annie just shrugged it off as she closed the bathroom door behind her.

She looked at herself in the bathroom mirror, she really did look sick, her eyes were all droopy, and her face just looked plain tired, and her hair… oh don't even talk about her hair, her hair was another matter entirely.

She just could not help but miss her long hair, okay she knew that she might have been overreacting, but that just was not it, she didn't think that she could just develop sudden hair loss overnight.

Annie ran her fingers through her hair, it did not even get tangled at all, Annie sighed, she wondered how long it would take her hair to grow back, and in all honesty, she did not think that it would be anytime soon, but what worried her was the fact that she did not know what even made all her hair fall out.

Annie looked at the strands of her hair, they were shorter than spaghetti, she did not even think that she could tie her hair into a ponytail at this point, she had never had short hair like this before, she loved her long hair, and now it was all gone.

And it wasn't like her hair fell out exactly, it was just like someone had chopped out her hair to be this very short, and as far as she remembered she did not know if any fire burnt her hair, and she doubted that Curtis would cut her hair, this all just made no sense at all.

Annie sighed as she walked out of the bathroom and she closed the door, she decided that what was done was done and she could not change it at all, all she could do was live with it now.

Annie looked at Maddie who was sitting on her own bed, and she was busy checking through her phone.

"Maddie, do you know where Aunt Stella is?" asked Annie as she went to sit on her own bed.

"Ahh well yes I do" said Maddie as she looked at Annie.

"She said that she had an important meeting, outside the Palace, so she said she would be back in three days tops" said Maddie as she explained.

"Three days??" asked Annie In shock, she felt like that was a bit too much for a meeting, what would she need to do in three days??

"Yep, I also thought the same when she told me and Matt, but what can she do?" asked Maddie.

"She is the Vice Chancellor after all" said Maddie as she smiled and Annie nodded her head, Maddie was right, Aunt Stella was always a very busy person, it came with her title as Vice Chancellor.

"And where is Curtis" said Annie as she looked at Maddie.

"I don't know about him Annie, he's always been weird, and no one knows where he is, he just always appears" said Maddie.

"Hmm" said Annie as she seemed to be thinking.

"I know, why don't you try to reach him?" asked Maddie as she smiled.

"Good Idea Maddie" said Annie as she smiled.

"You are welcome" said Maddie as she smiled.

"Curtis… Curtis, can you hear me?" asked Annie in her mind, she hoped that he would respond to her.

"Curtis??" asked Annie out loud and she waited for a few seconds, but she heard nothing else in response.

"Isn't he responding?" asked Maddie.

"Nope" said Annie as she shook her head.

"I don't think he can hear me" said Annie as she sighed.

"Or maybe he's ignoring you, because with Curtis you never know" said Maddie as she scoffed.

"Well I don't think that he's ignoring me, he wouldn't do that" said Annie.

"Oh Annie, you don't know how much he has changed" said Maddie as she sighed.

"What do you mean?? Changed how?" asked Annie as she did not understand what Maddie was saying.

"Well I would say that Curtis is not necessarily himself anymore" said Maddie.

"He's always cold, he disappears to who knows where, and he just looks plain miserable" said Maddie as she sighed.

"I don't blame him" said Annie.

"What do you mean?" asked Maddie.

"Ouch" said Annie as she suddenly felt an indescribable pain in her head that made her cry out in pain as she clutched her head.

"Annie, are you alright??" asked Maddie in panic as she rushed to Annie's side.

Annie could not hear anything, she could only feel the pain in her head, she felt like she was supposed to remember something but she just could not, and in that instant the pain in her head stopped as she opened her eyes and she saw Maddie who looked very worried.

"I'm alright Maddie" said Annie as she looked at Maddie.

"Are you sure?? Because you don't look alright" said Maddie.

"I am alright, I just had a little headache" said Annie as she smiled.

"A little headache?? That did not look or sound little to me" said Maddie.

"I know, but I feel better now, I think it was just a one time thing, trust me" said Annie as she smiled.

"Alright fine Annie, fine, but I am going to run a scan on you, just in case" said Maddie as she looked at Annie.

"Okay fine, if that would make you feel better" said Annie as she laughed, Maddie was acting so worried, and she could not blame her.

Maddie closed her eyes, and she hovered her hand starting from Annie's head to her toes, and then she finally opened her eyes again.

"So…" said Annie as she smiled.

"Fine, you are alright, there is nothing wrong with you" said Maddie as she sighed.

"You see, I told you" said Annie as she laughed.

"Yeah, yeah, but if that happens again, you are not going to give me any excuses, I won't allow it" said Maddie.

"Okay fine Maddie, fine" said Annie as she laughed, she thought that Maddie was just overreacting.

"You will thank me later" said Maddie as she smiled.

"I doubt that, but thank you" said Annie as she smiled.

"Thank me for what?" asked Maddie in confusion.

"Thank you for worrying about me" said Annie as she smiled.

"Oh of course I do, I worry about you because you are my best friend after all" said Maddie as she smiled sweetly and Annie smiled at her.

"And you are mine as well" said Annie as she smiled at Maddie.
