"Well look what the cat dragged in" said Selene as she had a big grin on her face, she leisurely stood like she had no intention of leaving anytime soon.

Nia had a huge frown on her face, speak of the wicked witch, she knew that she should have come and started cleaning earlier, before this woman showed up.

Nia sighed and she braced herself, she did not want to get in trouble because of this woman, so she did like she did not hear her and she continued to clean.

"Hey are you deaf?" asked Selene

"I am talking to you" said Selene

Nia looked up, and she had a very serious look on her face, she had to remind herself that she had to remain polite to this woman.

"I am sorry, but I am here to clean" said Nia

"Forgive me if I did not hear you" said Nia as she went back to cleaning.

"Hmm, so you are deaf" said Selene.

"Anyway that's besides the point" she said as the wicked smile returned to her face.

"Oh how the tables have turned" she said

"Was it not just some time ago, when you said that you were above me, and I was below" said Selene

"Now look, who's above and who's below now?" asked Selene proudly.

She was beyond overjoyed that Azazel decided to give her a servant, and she was extremely happy when she found out that the servant Azazel was giving her was Clove's high minded maid, who had used her power at that time to threaten her.

She was going to make sure that she made the life of this girl a living nightmare, that would show her how to respect those who were above you, and that she should not have gotten too comfortable with being with Clove.

"I am sorry ma'am, but as you can see I am cleaning" said Nia as she took a cloth and started dusting down the couch.

"And I work best when in an atmosphere of peace and quiet" said Nia as she looked at Selene

Selene could not believe the nerve of this girl, she just indirectly called her noisy and nosy, how dare her?? She had been living for too long under the protection of that wretched woman.

"What did you just call me??" asked Selene

"What do you mean ma'am??" asked Nia as she feigned ignorance

"That, why did you call me ma'am??" asked Selene as she pointed her finger at Nia

"Do I look like an old woman to you?" asked Selene

"Well I mean if the shoe fits" said Nia to herself, but she would not dare say it out.

"Ma'am I do not know what you are talking about, I am just a servant" said Nia as she finished dusting and she proceeded to start cleaning with a mop.

"That is exactly my point!" said Selene

"You are my servant, and you should address me with the utmost respect" said Selene

"You should call me your lady, and not ma'am" she said

Did she think that she was stupid or what?? Everyone knew how respectful Nia was to Clove, she always called her Milady, and not ma'am like an old woman, but what people didn't know what that Clove earned Nia's utmost respect, and she did not call her that just out of obligation.

Nia looked up, she had anger in her eyes, she was never going to address that woman as her lady, she did not deserve it.

"Hello, I am talking to you, don't just stand there" said Selene

"Call me your lady, and show your respect" said Selene

"Excuse me??" said Selene angrily as she did not hear a reply from Nia.

"You do not deserve to be called my lady" said Nia plainly.

"What do you mean by that??" asked Selene angrily

"You are being disrespectful" said Selene

"Of course I am, because I know that you do not deserve to be respected" said Nia as she stood her ground.

"How dare you say that" said Selene

"It seems that you have enjoyed the high life for a long time, and now it's difficult for you to adjust back" said Selene

"But do not worry, I will help you adjust quicker" said Selene

"Bow down right now, you need to be punished" she said

"I will do no such thing" said Nia as she stomped her foot on the ground.

"Are you deaf, dumb, or both? I said bow down now!" said Selene

"I should be the one asking you that question, I clearly said no" said Nia as there was no fear in her eyes.

"Why you little--" said Selene as she moved closer to where Nia was standing.

"I have had enough of your disrespect'" said Selene as she looked angry

"You have two options" she said

"Either you bow down and apologize, or you call me your lady" said Selene

"Choose which you would like to do" said Selene

"I will choose neither" said Nia with determination as she stood her ground.

"You do not deserve to be respected or apologized to" said Nia

"And you will never be my lady, because the only lady I will have is Clove" said Nia

"How dare you" said Selene as she did not waste a second and she raised her hand and gave Nia a burning slap.

"You better shut that mouth of yours, I slapped you once, and I have nothing against doing it again" said Selene as Nia clutched her now burning cheek.

"You shut up!" said Nia as she retorted

"YOU of all people have no right to slap me" said Nia

"You and I both know that you were the one that killed Clove" said Nia as she accused Selene out rightly.

Did Selene think that she was dumb or what?? Nia was sure that the person who killed Clove was none other than Selene, she remembered when Selene first approached her and told her to work for her and pretend to be good and earn Clove's trust and then when the time was right, Selene would give her the instruction to poison her subtly.

"You came to me saying that we should work together to kill Clove" said Nia as she held her paining cheek.

"Do you forget that day?? Well I don't" said Nia

"I know that no one else would be as wicked, as horrible, and as terrible as you, to ever even have the courage to kill Clove" said Nia as tears were dripping from her eyes, she did not know if it was pain from the slap or pain from talking about Clove's death, or maybe it was both.

"You are not worthy to say anything to me, and I do not have to respect you, I will just do my work and leave" said Nia

"You are not going anywhere" said Selene as she finally stopped being quiet.

"Do you think anyone would take your word over mine?" asked Selene as she scoffed.

"You are right, they probably would not, but Azazel will" said Nia

"Haha, you are late darling" said Selene as she laughed mockingly.

"Azazel will not believe a single word that you utter" said Selene

"Whatever you say" said Nia as she moved as she wanted to leave.

"You are going nowhere" said Selene

"What?? You want to slap me again??" asked Nia

"Do it, I dare you" she said as she already agreed with herself that she would not let anyone trample on her, not now and not again, and Selene was no exception.

Selene hesitated, just what got into this girl that made her this was, she was very timid and reserved before, and now here she was testing her patience.

"Ha, so you can't do it" said Nia as she laughed mockingly.

"That's what I thought, I will take my leave now" said Nia as she started to walked away.

But before she could leave, Selene stood in front of her and she was about to raise her hand and try to slap her again, but Nia was not going to let it happen again this time.

As soon as Nia saw that Selene was about to slap her again, she quickly raised the mop in her hand and she used it to hit Selene's hand away, and it made her cry in pain.

"YOU LITTLE TRAMP, WHAT DID YOU JUST DO??" asked Selene as she clutched her hit hand in shock, she was not about to believe that this girl just hit her hand away with a mop.

"That is what you deserve because you hit me for no reason, I was just defending myself" said Nia as she did not feel scared at all.

And like an animal Selene pounced on Nia as if she wanted to tear her from limb to limb, Nia struggled, Selene was heavier than she looked, so she resorted to pulling Selene's hair, which made Selene cry out in pain.

Nia felt adrenaline pumping, this was the first time she had fought anyone, but it felt so good to stand up for herself, she just wished that she could survive this because Selene was stronger than her.
