Isn't enough

Alina looked at Annie, she could tell that she was not feeling well, she did not even touch her food at all, she was very worried.

"Annie are you alright?" asked Alina as she looked at Annie and Annie snapped out of her thoughts as she looked at Alina.

"Ahh… yes, I am fine" said Annie as she nodded her head and everyone turned to look at her.

"Are you sure? You didn't touch your food, is there something wrong with it? Or would you prefer something else?" asked Alina.

"No, don't worry about that, I just don't feel hungry, that's all" said Annie as she gave a quick smile as Maddie, Ollie and Matt all looked at each other, they knew why Annie was feeling like that, after all Ivor just indirectly insulted her and her entire family, who would not be upset if their family was being wrongly accused and they could not even do or say anything to defend themselves.

"Are you sure that you are alright Annie, I mean you look pale" said Alina as she could see Annie's face well in this lighting, and she did not have the usual smile that she always had on her face.

"Yes I am fine, I'm just tired that's all" said Annie as she gave Alina as reassuring smile, she could tell that Alina was worried about her, she found that sweet, but Annie could not help but wonder if Alina thought the same as her master did.

"Well in that case, I am sure that you all are tired, it has been a long day" said Ivor as everyone turned to look at him, he did agree with Alina, Annie looked very pale, as if she was upset, but he did not know what could have made her feel like that.

Ivor was very observant, he noticed that Annie only started to act like this once they started talking about the Grey's, maybe she disliked his views, or she knew the Grey's personally, that would explain why Curtis defended them so much.

"And well dinner is almost done, so Alina, you can show our guests to their rooms" said Ivor as he looked at Alina.

"Yes Master" said Alina as she nodded her head and she stood up as she looked at Annie.

"Come on Annie's let's go, let me show you to your room" said Alina as she smiled and she looked at Annie as Annie nodded her head and she stood up.

"Well I am sure that we are also tired" said Curtis as he stood up.

"Yes, we are" said Ollie as he stood up and, Matt did so as well, and so did Maddie.

"Thank for having us for dinner" said Curtis.

"It is my pleasure, do have a goodnight" said Ivor as he smiled.

"Goodnight" said Curtis, Maddie, Ollie, Matt and Annie as they followed after Alina out of the room, as they walked to another part of the house.

They all walked in silence as Annie was in her own thoughts, she could not help but feel bad that this was what people actually thought about her and her family, Maddie, Ollie and Matt all wanted to talk to Annie, but this was not the place to, Alina was still here, and they needed to speak to each other in privacy.

"You know, I think my master enjoyed talking to you, it was fun for him, since I usually always agree with whatever he says" said Alina as she laughed.

"You do?" asked Annie.

"Well sometimes I do, or sometimes I just nod my head like I do, but most times, I'm not actually listening to what he's saying, but don't tell him that" said Alina as she giggled.

"Hmm" said Curtis as now he knew that they had to be careful, very careful, they were not with people who liked them, Curtis was sure that if this was what Ivor thought, then many people thought the same as well.

"Alright, well here we are" said Alina as she smiled.

"This is your room Curtis, Matt and Ollie, sorry, we don't have many rooms" said Alina as she smiled apologetically.

"That is fine Alina" said Curtis as he nodded his head.

"And this is your room Annie and Maddie, just right down there, the first door to the right, hope you will like it" said Alina as she smiled.

"I am sure that we will" said Annie as she smiled and Alina smiled.

"Well I have to go now, if you need anything at all, my room is just right down there in the corner, and my Master's room is in the other hall" said Alina as she smiled.

"Goodnight everyone" said Alina as she smiled.

"Goodnight" said Everyone as Alina walked away and Curtis looked at Annie, his eyes telling her that they would speak tomorrow, so Annie just nodded her head as she walked to she and Maddie's room and Maddie followed after as they walked into their room and Maddie closed the door behind them.

Annie sighed as she looked very sad, no matter what you would say, it would not make her feel any better.

"Annie, you know… he only said all that because he doesn't know you" said Maddie as she sighed.

"Exactly, because he doesn't know me, so that's what he actually thinks of me, it hurts Maddie, and you know what's worse, he's actually right" said Annie.

"I had one duty, and that was to defeat Azazel, and I couldn't even do that, and now we are going on some wild goose chase to find the powers that I lost, it seems that I can't do anything right" said Annie.

"Annie, don't say that, don't you dare say that, don't belittle yourself" said Maddie.

"You did your best Annie, you did" said Maddie.

"That's the thing, I did do my best, so my best isn't enough" said Annie as she felt like crying.

"No Annie, don't say that, don't say that at all" said Maddie as she shook her head.

"All those people who blame you should go try to fight Azazel by themselves, then they will know if they are all talk and no play" said Maddie.

"Annie you don't need to feel bad, not at all" said Maddie.

"They sent a child to do an adult's job, and that is unfair, you know what Annie, you were the closest, the closest to beat Azazel, if he did not play dirty and kill Curtis, I am sure that he would be no more Annie" said Maddie.

"Annie, there is no need for you to feel bad, not at all, you did your best, and that's more than enough" said Maddie.

"Don't allow anyone to make you feel bad Annie, because in the end, no matter what they say, you are the only one that can defeat Azazel, you and no one else, so even if they tried, they would never be able to defeat him without you, so don't criticize yourself, and never let anyone make you cry okay?" asked Maddie.

"Okay" said Annie as she nodded her head and she sniffed.

"Aww come here Annie, don't cry, I don't like to see you cry" said Maddie as she hugged Annie.

"I won't cry" said Annie as she sniffed.

"Good, don't cry, because I surely won't cry with you" said Maddie as she laughed and Annie laughed as well, she wondered what she would do without Maddie always being here by her side.

"Curtis, what are you thinking about?" asked Matt as he looked at Curtis, he had been very quiet, more quiet than usual.

"Annie is not safe here" said Curtis as he looked at Matt.

"Tell me about it" said Ollie as he did not like what Ivor said about Annie's family at all.

"I wonder how Annie is doing, she didn't look so good, and well all know why that is so" said Ollie.

"Don't worry, she will be fine, Maddie is with her" said Matt as he sighed.

"But I do worry, if this is what people actually think about the Greys, when in reality, it's not like that at all" said Matt as he shook his head.

"I know right, they are very nice people, it's not their fault that Azazel is just well Azazel" said Ollie as he shook his head.

"We can't let anyone know why we are really here on Caligo, not even Alina, we cannot trust anybody, do you understand?" asked Curtis.

"Yes Curtis" said Matt as he nodded his head.

"You don't have to tell me twice" said Ollie as he shook his head.

"We have to leave this place, first thing in the morning" said Curtis.

"Alright then" said Matt.

"And well Annie, she will be alright" said Curtis as he knew that she was stronger than she thought, and he also knew that Maddie would do her best to make Annie see that it was not her fault, not at all.
