Silence, that was what could be heard in the library, Annie, Maddie and Matt all had their noses buried in a book of their choice, mostly their choice.

Matt and Maddie decided to do something fun and choose books for each other to read.

Maddie chose a book on cheeses for Matt to read, while Matt chose a book on different types of cats in the witch realm, while Annie read her book about enchants.

"Maddie I do not understand why you would choose a cheese book for me, it's so boring" said Matt as he complained.

"As far as I know I don't want to become a cheese chef" joked Matt

"Well I thought it would be funny" said Maddie as she laughed.

"But now you are making me feel bad, since you chose a very nice book for me, it's so interesting" said Maddie

"Oh is that so?" asked Matt

"Oh it is, Matt when I tell you how interesting it is, you would not believe me unless you read it yourself" said Maddie as she was ecstatic

"Just take a look at this cat" said Maddie as she turned the book for Matt to see.

"It's called a dolosus cattus, which translates to a sly cat" said Maddie

"And it's called that because it's more or less a criminal" said Maddie as she laughed.

"What do you mean by a criminal??" asked Matt

"It's a criminal because it's pretends like it's lost, and it acts cute and all, next second if you leave it alone, you could come back to your house being completely empty and the cat is gone" said Maddie with stars in her eyes.

"Woah, that's dangerous" said Matt

"I know right?? it's awesome" said Maddie

"Umm I don't that it's a real cat if it can do that" said Matt

"Oh it is" said Maddie

"Then if it is how does it steal??" asked Matt as he was so surprised why would a cat need to steal in the first place??

"Well according to what is written here, it's not entirely the cat's fault, it's because the cat has a absorbing power that can convert anything the cat touches into atoms, and the cat carries those atoms inside it" explained Maddie

"You see the cat is not actually evil, no it's usually the selfish, greedy owners who use it's power for such wicked things" said Maddie as she felt bad for those poor kittens being used as thieves.

"Poor kitties" said Matt

"I know right" said Maddie

"Hey Annie what do you think?" asked Maddie as she turned to look at Annie, but Annie did not reply.

"Annie??" called Matt

"Hey Annie, witch realm to Annie" said Maddie as she snapped her fingers.

"Huh??" said Annie as she finally realized that her name was being called.

"What is it??" she asked as looked up.

"Wow Annie, gosh you were so engrossed in reading that you didn't hear us calling you" said Maddie

"Oh haha sorry, I wasn't paying attention" said Annie as she laughed.

"We could see that" said Matt as he laughed.

"So what were you guys talking about?" asked Annie

"Ooh yes, we were talking about this cat that has absorption powers, and it's used to steal" said Maddie

"That sounds like animal cruelty to me" said Annie

"Oh it is, but the kind of idea of a cat like that reminds me of puss in boots" said Maddie

"Puss in what??" asked Matt

"YOU have to be joking!" said Maddie

"Joking about what??" asked Matt

"There is no way that you do not know who Puss in boots is" said Maddie

"Well sorry to disappoint you but I never heard of it" said Matt

"*Gasp* Treason" said Maddie as she pointed an accusing finger at Matt.

"Maddie relax, it's not that deep" said Annie

"What do you mean it's not that deep, oh no it is very deep, extremely deep" said Maddie

"How can he not know puss in boots??" asked Maddie

"Well then good for you, it's payback, now you know how it felt when you didn't know the piped piper" said Annie

"Oh Annie again with that" said Maddie as she smiled.

"What?? it's the truth" said Annie

"But this is different" said Maddie

"He doesn't know a beloved cutie character" said Maddie

"Who by the way is much more important that you piped piper" said Maddie

"Okay Maddie, whatever you say" said Annie as she did not want to argue.

"Good, now you Matthew, how could you not know puss in boots?? the cutest ever criminal" said Maddie

"Sorry Maddie, I have just never heard of him" said Matt as he did not care, he believed that Maddie was being overdramatic.

"Have you never watched cartoons?? or movies??" asked Maddie

"Of course I have, but never ones with Puss in Boots" said Matt.

"MY gosh, this is the worst shock that I have ever gotten in my life" said Maddie

"Relax Maddie, it's not that bad" said Annie.

"What's not that bad?" asked Curtis as he entered the library.

"Oh Curtis thank goodness you are here" said Maddie as she rushed to Curtis as she held his arm.

"Please tell me that you have heard of puss in boots??" asked Maddie

"Umm Maddie, I think that you are asking the wrong person, because as far as I know, Curtis knows nothing about cartoons" said Annie

"Shush, let him speak" said Maddie as she shushed Annie

"Okay then" said Annie as she sighed and went back to reading, she would wait for this drama to blow over.

"No I have not" said Curtis as he crushed the expectant look on Maddie's face, of course he had heard of puss in boots, he used to watch cartoons while Annie was at school.

"Aww" said Maddie as she looked sad, but the look on her face changed, when she heard Curtis laugh.

"Of course I have heard of him, which loser hasn't??" asked Curtis

"Aha, you see" said Maddie as she looked around.

"Well that loser, is Matt" said Maddie as she pointed to Matt.

"Boy where were you born??" asked Curtis as he looked totally shocked.

"Okay what is happening??" said Matt as he was utterly shocked, wasn't Curtis supposed to stop Maddie's nonsense, but here he was supporting her.

"Matt, I have no Idea at all" said Annie as she too was shocked, it seemed that today Curtis had decided to join Maddie in her shenanigans today.

"You two better calm down, gosh this is getting out of hand" said Annie.

"It's is not a crime to not know about Puss in boots, sheesh" said Annie

"Okay then" said Curtis

"Anyway, what are you three doing here?" asked Curtis

"Oh well we came here to read" said Maddie

"I see" said Curtis.

Meanwhile in Azazel's camp.

"You see My Lord, I did not kill him" said Selene

"The results of the task says that he was poisoned with witches brew" said Selene.

"So I think what happened was that, when I rejected him, he went away angrily, and he decided to vent his frustration on an unsuspecting witch, and he just happened to fall into the hands of one of the witches that was rigged with witches brew" said Selene as she explained.

Azazel looked at Selene with an expression that said "You expect me to believe that nonsense"

"My Lord, you know me, if I wanted to kill him, I would have jabbed a dagger through his heart, I do not like clean easy kills, I would want to make him suffer" said Selene

"I do not poison my targets, I chop them" she said as if that was something to be proud of.

"It was not me, he was clearly poisoned" said Selene.

"Selene, do not be cocky, and do not get ahead or yourself" said Azazel as his words posed a double meaning.

"I hear you My lord" said Selene as she bowed her head, and in an instant there was a mighty thud, and the ground shook, throwing her across the room.

"What was tha--" said Selene as she was just recovering from the initial shock, but there was another hit again.

"We are being attacked" said Azazel as he did not move at all, as if his chair was nailed to the ground.

"Go gather the troops, they must not be weak" he said

"Yes My Lord" said Selene as she quickly stood up and ran.

Outside the camp it was in total pandemonium, everyone was running, not sure where to hide, screaming, confusion and fear was in the air, it was clear that someone was trying to break their barrier and they were not going easy on them.

Meanwhile in the camp, back in the library.

"And that's wh--" said Maddie as she was cut off and the ground suddenly shook, throwing them all to the ground.

"What the heck what that??" asked Maddie as she stood up.

"I have no idea" said Annie

"What that an earthquake??" asked Matt, they were lucky that none of the bookshelf fell on them with impact of such a shock.

"Stay down" said Curtis as another shock happened and the ground shook more violently.

"What is going on??" asked Annie

"We need to find out what is causing this" said Matt as he stood up, and Annie and Maddie followed behind him.

They went outside to check what was going on but before they could step out the premises of the library, they were blocked by an invisible barrier that only showed then they tried to move.

"What is this??" asked Maddie as she punched against the barrier.

"It's a barrier" said Matt as he touched it.

"Why would there be a barrier here??? what is going on??" asked Annie as she was seriously confused, there was no barrier there when they came to the library this morning.

"It means that you guys should stay here and do not go anywhere" said Curtis

"Curtis do you know what all this is about?" asked Annie

"No, but it's probably a protective measure" said Curtis

"Why?" asked Maddie and Curtis refused to reply.

Meanwhile back in Azazel's camp.

Everywhere was still in total chaos, with the barrier still trying to be broken, Selene gathered some witches and they fought to keep the barrier strong.

"Milady, stay here, it's too dangerous outside" said Nia as she looked at Clove.

"And where are you going??" asked Clove

"I am going to find out what is going on" said Nia

"But don't g-" said Clove but it was too late, Nia had already left, without waiting for Clove's opinion.

Clove stood up, there was no way that she was going to stay put over here, while everyone was in chaos, she had to go find Azazel, he had to explain what was going on.

Unfortunately for Clove as soon as she stepped out of her tent, the barrier was broken, and in that same instant, fireball like objects began to be shot into the camp, alerting everyone and causing even more havoc.

More scream could be heard, with everyone striving to find somewhere to hide, they were all caught off guard.

Clove looked around, and she stopped to help a female witch who fell down as she was trying to find somewhere safe to hide.

Clove ran to find somewhere for her to hide, she should not have went out, but she was now worried about Nia, she had to find her, she ended up getting herself into a secluded area of the camp where there was no one in sight.

She could still hear sounds of the impact of the fireballs hitting the ground.

As if in a trance Clove slowed down, she took a deep breath, and in that same instant, a dagger was thrown straight into her abdomen, and she cried in pain from the shock, and impact of the dagger, that caused her to fall on the ground.

Clove held her abdomen, she could see the blood, her hands were covered in her blood, she cried out in pain, and she removed the dagger, and she pressed the wounded area down with her shirt.

And then she heard it! the mocking laugh of a woman, who was smiling walking towards where she was lying.

Clove's eyes were starting to close, she had lost a lot of blood, she did not have the strength to heal herself.

The woman bent down and she picked up the dagger which was probably hers, she glanced at Clove and smiled.

Even though Clove could not see the woman's face clearly, she knew exactly who it was.

"I hope you don't rest in peace Clove" she said with a cackling smile as she walked away.
