"Annie, if there is something that I have learnt in all my years of living is that you can never give up…" said Curtis as he looked at Annie while smiling and Annie looked at him.

"You never give up… because there is always hope" said Curtis as he smiled.

"And if we have given up a long time ago, we all would not be here" said Curtis as he smiled.

"So believe me Annie, when I say that I will find a way to get your powers back" said Curtis as he smiled and he held Annie's hand, he was conncected to her, he knew just how bad she felt right now, she felt like giving up, and it made him feel that way as well, but he was not going to let that happen at all, he would not give up, because that would only mean that Azazel had won, and Curtis had not lived all these years for Azazel to win in the end.

"*Sigh*" said Annie as she sighed.

"I believe you Curtis, I really do" said Annie as she forced a smile, she believed him, even though it was very hard for her to, in the end there was no one who wanted the best for her like Curtis did, he was her best friend, and she knew that for him to promise, it only meant that he really meant it, so she would believe him.

"Thank you Annie" said Curtis as he smiled, there was no way that he was going to let her down, he was going to work even harder now, he was not going to stop till he found a way to get Annie's powers back, because this was much more than Azazel, it was something deeper, for Curtis to prove to Annie that he would always be there for her, just like she was always there for him.

"I trust you Curtis, I really do" said Annie as she smiled and she smiled at everyone else as well, what would she do without them?? They were always here to support her, and she loved them all.

"I believe that it is getting late" said Curtis as he cleared his throat, everyone had had a long day today, and he did not want to make any of them even more tired and worried than they already were.

"So this meeting is adjourned, and we will see tomorrow" said Curtis as he smiled, they could all go to sleep, while he would continue searching for the key to unlocking all of this, he knew that he was close, he could feel it, and yet, it felt like he was so far away.

"Alright Curtis goodnight" said John as he smiled and Lisa smiled as well.

"Goodnight John, goodnight everyone" said Curtis as he smiled.

"Goodnight Curtis" said Annie as she smiled.

"Goodnight Annie" said Curtis as he smiled.

"Annie are you alright?" asked Maddie as she turned to look at Annie as Annie climbed into bed.

"*Sigh*, No" said Annie as she sighed and she looked at Maddie, she was sad, tired, depressed, you name it.

"You know, you can talk to me if you don't feel alright" said Maddie as she smiled.

"Thanks Maddie, I know" said Annie as she forced a smile.

"But I don't want to talk right now, I only want to close my eyes and try to sleep" said Annie as she forced a smile.

"Don't worry Annie, I understand" said Maddie.

"Just know that I am always here for you, no matter what, you can count on me" said Maddie as she smiled, she could only imagine just how truly bad Annie felt, and she could not blame her at all, she was sure that she would feel the same, or even worse if this had happened to her.

"Thank you Maddie, I know that you are" said Annie as she smiled genuinely, who would have thought that Maddie, who was once her worst enemy would turn out to be her best friend in the end, the truth was that she could not imagine her life without Maddie.

"Anytime Annie, anytime" said Maddie as she smiled.

"Goodnight Annie" said Maddie as she smiled.

"Goodnight Maddie" said Annie as she smiled and she turned around to the other side of her bed as she took a deep breath and she closed her eyes as she tried to go to sleep.

Maddie smiled, she wanted to say I love you, but she was never one to say such, she found it way too much and cringey for her own liking, she never grew up hearing the words, so it was hard for her to say it to other people, but believe her when she said that she loved them all so much.

Maddie sighed as she took out a book from under her pillow as she began to read, she wanted something to pass the time, she was not yet feeling tired, and this seemed like the best option for her to gain some knowledge, while also trying to fall asleep.

"I really hope that you solve everything soon Curtis, I really do" said Maddie to herself as she sighed, this all counted on Curtis, she really hoped that he was not giving Annie any false hope, because that would only crush her more than she already was.

The next morning.

"So what do you guys want to do today?" asked Ollie as he smiled and he looked at Annie, Maddie and Matt who all looked rather tired, and it was not like they were tired of him, believe him he would know, they all just seemed fed up.

"I have the entire day off today" said Ollie as he smiled happily.

"How about you leave us alone?" asked Maddie as she raised her head from the couch to look at Ollie as they were all sitting In the lounge.

"Not a chance grouchy" said Ollie as he smiled, he was surprised when his Father called him to his office early this morning, initially he thought that maybe he was going to say that he was going to attend another High Council Meeting with him today, but to his surprise, his Father had given him the entire day off to do whatever it is that he wanted to do.

He had no Princely duties, no assignments, no spell castings, nothing, he had nothing at all to do, which gave him time to do something he had never done in his life… which was hanging out with friends.

"Hey, why do you all look so gloomy anyway?" asked Ollie as he looked at Annie, Maddie and Matt.

"It's none of your business Blondie" said Maddie as she looked at him and she frowned.

"I was not asking you grouchy" said Ollie as he smiled and Maddie scoffed.

"Annie, what's wrong?" asked Ollie as he smiled and he looked at Annie.

"*Sigh*" said Annie as she sighed.

"Nothing is wrong" said Annie.

"Are you sure?" asked Ollie

"Sheesh blondie, she said that nothing is wrong, stop asking" said Maddie.

"Grouchy, I wasn't talking to you" said Ollie as he smiled.

"Yes I am sure, I am just tired, that's all" said Annie as she smiled.

"Oh well, alright then, if you say so" said Ollie as he smiled.

"Thank you Prince Oliver" said Annie as she smiled, he could be so nice, and Annie liked that/

"You are welcome, and it's Ollie" said Ollie as he smiled and Maddie scoffed, this guy was really wasting his time if he actually win Annie over, he had no chance at all.

"Okay, so what can we do today?" asked Ollie as he smiled.

"Matt, any ideas?" asked Ollie as he smiled and he looked at Matt as Matt shook his head no.

"Oh I know, how about we all go sword fighting today?" asked Ollie as he smiled.

"Umm No" said Maddie as she shook her head, swords were way too dangerous.

"We would only watch you fight since we don't know how to" said Matt.

"Alright then, what if we go horse riding?" asked Ollie as he smiled.

"No" said Annie as she shook her head, she could not imagine herself riding a horse, and if she did, she would probably fall, and she did not want to get hurt at all, she might have felt better, but there was still a sure fact that she was weaker.

"Okay…" said Ollie as he was sensing something suspicious over here, but who was he to say anything?

"Well I am out of ideas now" said Ollie as he was still thinking.

"You know what, I also have an idea" said Maddie as she smiled.

"Go on" said Ollie as he was curious.

"How about we all just stay here, and be quiet and read a book" said Maddie as she smiled.

"Well that sounds boring" said Ollie as he frowned.

"I think Maddie has a point, lets just do that instead" said Matt.

"I agree" said Annie.

"Alright fine, it's three to one, so fine, books it is" said Ollie as he sighed and Maddie smiled.

"It's okay if you don't want to read blondie, you can just leave, we will be fine without you" said Maddie as she smiled.

"No, no, I am fine with reading" said Ollie as he smiled and Maddie smiled at him as Annie and Maddie just wondered why these two liked to annoy each other so much, it was actually concerning, but, what could they do?
