It took some time for Sorata to calm Miko Yotsuya down; after all, she had every right to be alarmed given that, just moments earlier, they had been pursued by a monster that only she could see and that she had now appeared in another location, seemingly by teleportation.

But after hearing Sorata explain that this was the only option, he was able to see how he could assist them in getting out of this predicament.

"Then thanks..." Given her ability to see ghosts and the fact that she was being pursued by one, she became much more composed and stopped peppering Sorata with inquiries.

Sorata realized how he could be dead without understanding how or why he would have died as he began to feel the thirst beginning to burn inside of him.

Making him understand why people in society are often unable to handle challenges; after all, what they value is an easy life without investing their all.

Sorata currently needs power, not money or anything else, in order to ensure that he will be able to protect himself at the very least, let alone those he values.

"It is good that you are looking fine." Miko was given something to drink, and he then turned to look at the adorable girl. She appeared to be feeling a lot more shy now that she realized they were both safe and that Sorata had been holding her while they were running earlier.

"That's from before; if you want, I can apologize for acting like that, but I did not think about it, given we both could have died there."

She shook her head in response to Sorata's words and looked up at him. As she thought about the situation, her body grew icy; after all, it felt like death was at her doorstep.

It wasn't something a typical high school student would do, but for Sorata, who had passed away before this, it was totally out of the ordinary.

'I am getting crazy, being not able to fear the death himself, it is really crazy.' Sorata made the decision to not dwell on it too much and to find a way to fully explain the system to Yotsuya as his thoughts became more and more disorganized.

She might need to work it out with him going forward, which might be too much for a girl from a high school setting given that he had already called her inside the guild with a corresponding position as well.

"Okay, it is like the Isekai world setting guild thing from anime, but it really exists in a space way above the earth and can request quests from gods to adventurers from different anime worlds." Sorata had to explain to her about Naruto because it was a well-known series in their society.

She was intrigued when she heard about Naruto's fights.

"Can we really move into their world too?" She sounded very excited about it and inquired about Naruto World, where her brother was a fan, and she was coerced into watching it with him after realizing she had begun to warm up to a few of the anime's characters.

"So are you alright while working for this guild, given that you can also get GP and then buy a few things from the guild shop too?"

Miko joined the guild without much persuasion and requested that Sorata refer to her as Miko instead of Nanami and treat her like Nanami.

Along with that, they talked for roughly a day as Sorata asked the Naruto team and Goblin Slayer to join him on a new mission after he explained his situation to them.

Sorata had accumulated more than 800 points by the end of the guild day as a result of their labor, which was sufficient for his plan to purchase an item from the guild shop that would be the most affordable solution to his problem and would also give him a strong ally.

"This is already getting late, and it could be around an hour in our world, so we might as well get out of the guild hall."

Given that Hikari hissed at him when he was inside the dorm and that they had decided to go to Miko's house because that strange creature might be in Sorata Dorm, Sorata looked at Miko, but he did not give it any thought and dived out of the portal.

"We are safe for now." Sorata looked at Hikari, who was sitting on his shoulder, and did not act like before, meaning the thing was gone.

So, he called out Hikari, who jumped out of the portal and pulled Sorata back to her home, where he called Chihiro sensei and told her about him getting along with a friend of his.

Additionally, he informed her that he would not be returning tonight and that she should not worry about it as he would be staying at his friend's house.

Ding! Dong!

"Yes! Miko, is that you? What took you so long, girl? We were really worried about you." Miko's mother opened the door to find that she was back, but she came with a boy alongside her, who looked really polite and even paid his respects to her.

"Ara! Miko, you never told me that you would be bringing a friend along with you." Looking at Sorata, Touko Yotsuya thought the boy appeared normal but had well-defined features if not for his unusually calm greeting stature and his mature tone.

"Welcome! Sorata-kun." When Miko introduced him, Touko was pleased for her child and made the decision to properly greet him.

She also chose to do so with Miko brother Kyousuke, who appeared to be upset about something.

When Sorata was called inside and they informed them of their plan to haunt Hana Yurikawa, Touko made the choice to let them sleep in her place.
