Chapter 38 Wood style

Although Arata said that he will leave the village right away, he decided to prolong this and wait until his new sibling arrived first. The reason was simply because, although the jinchuriki's of other villages are being targeted, it also meant that they were more than likely guarded heavily by the village's jonin ninjas and the speed from which they were captured shouldn't be too quick as to happen in the next two months he did not look for them. Therefore, Arata decided to focus more on chakra transformation.

Arata, meditating alone in the forest near his home, he started thinking of ways to combine different chakra natures to perform a strong jutsu. His lightning form indeed was fast and combined with his flying thunder god technique, he was nearly untouchable when it comes to close combat. With the use of his rinnegan, no jutsu would also affect him when he uses his preta path. At the age of 14 already, Arata is already a strong ninja and is unrivaled when it comes to peers his age. However, that is only what he knows so far as he hasn't come across any of the legendary characters and fought a serious battle against them. He also doesn't want to expose his rinnegan at his current state because it will only cause more people to come after him or his family and that is not something he wants to risk, after all, the Uzumaki clan's near extinction is the result of having so much power and even the Uchiha clan, although it was destroyed by one of its own members.

He had to think of another way to become stronger and be a natural deterrent and warning for those that wish ill harm on him. He thought of the reason why it would be difficult to go after Naruto like what Tsunade had told him. Jiraiya was a natural deterrent for the Akatsuki and did not dare go after him while he was close to Jiraiya. Although he does not know what makes Jiraiya strong as he had no contact with him, he knew some of Tsunade's strength of being an exceptional healer and possess tremendous strength. This makes him think about his own bloodline and the coincidental rinnegan that was given to him and it's gift. He thought about how the first hokage was called the 'God of Shinobi' with his usage of the wood-style release.

Arata: " System, what makes the wood-style release so special. I'm sure there are several ninjas who could use both water and earth release and combine them together."

A metallic and monotone voice responded: " Indeed there are several ninjas who could use both chakra nature release but for Hashirama Senju, he possessed the the necessary bloodline that was unique solely to him that allowed him to mold the two chakra natures together and develop the wood-style release. That is called a kekkai genkai like the ice-release that Haku had and the sharingan with the Uchiha clan."

Arata sighed, " So it is impossible for me?"

System: " Not necessarily..."

Arata: " hmm? What does that mean."

System: " Wood style release is indeed considered a kekkei genkai but I believe with your natural talent and with the talent given by the rinnegan you may be able to emulate the wood style jutsu to a certain degree."

Arata: " Okay. I understand. Guess I will have to just figure it out on my own."

Arata closed his eyes as he put his hand together as he concentrated chakra. Next he started weaving hand signs as he used both hands making earth and water signs and concentrating on combining the two together.

As he finished his thought process, he slammed his hands to the ground as he released the gather chakra but nothing came out. From this he realized the difficulty of combining the two chakra natures together.

Arata: " Again!"

Arata proceeded with the previous steps of gathering chakra and weaving signs while combining the two chakra natures together for several hours but with no result.

Arata laid exhausted as he tried to catch his breath from using so much chakra that resulted in nothing but expended chakra. The sun was already setting now and Karin was walking from the distance towards him.

Karin: " Arata, its getting late, come home and have dinner that aunty has made."

Arata jumped up feeling the pain in his stomach as it grumbled from hunger. He followed Karin home as they talked casually about their day. It seems like Karin has also been training and was being taught by his father Riki.

They entered the house, announcing their arrival and being responded with a warm welcome.

During dinner Arata asked his father, " Father, what happened to the senju clan?"

Riki, " Hmm. Since the establishment of the villages, the senju clan no longer became a military like clan any longer. Some of them stayed with leaf village and some went out on their separate ways. It was a long long time ago. I stayed close to the leaf village and and after the third ninja war, I decided to no longer participate in the life of a ninja and live a peaceful life."

Arata nodded his head as he had been living his life with his family in seclusion since birth. After having his question answered, he continued to eat his food in silence as the small family finished eating in awkward silence. It was just a question that Arata had in mind because he has not heard anything about the senju clan and any other members besides Tsunade.

Judging by this, Arata also realized his parents were older than he initially thought. His parents may be just a little younger than Tsunade but judging from their looks, they look really young like they were in their mid 30s. Their bloodline was indeed strong if they look like this at their age.

Like this days turned into weeks as Arata continued to train hard and combine the two chakra natures together while spending time with his family. During this time, he did not just train in combining these two but also worked on his other techniques and sparred with Karin and Riki. It wasn't until the third week that he was able to successfully combine the two chakra natures but the result caused him to frown.

The result of combining the two chakra natures together did not produce wood but mud. Arata thought to himself, " Just what am I doing wrong?"

Frowning as he continued to think of what to do, Arata walked to a tree and put his hand on the tree as he tried to think of what to do. Placing his hand on the tree, Arata closed his eyes as he tried to sense what wood style was all about. After a few hours of concentrating and thinking, his eyes shined as he realized what he was missing. Life energy. Trees possessed a life energy as it is after all a living organism as it requires nutrients to grow and reproduce. But he has little training in the yang release. He knew that the yang release uses physical energy to produce vitality, granting life to forms that have none. However, is that enough to just change mud into wood?

Arata started to concentrate more when combining all three chakra natures together but once again it resulted in nothing but mud. This got Arata frustrated as he did not know what else to change or add. Like this another few weeks passed as he continued to train in developing and combining the three chakra natures and laid exhausted in mid-day. Then an idea hit him. Life is all about balance. They all have their opposing attribute and one element is never the strongest and overpowers all other elements. Like water is weak against earth. earth is weak against lighting etc. To balance out yang, yin exists. But using four chakra natures, it is not a simple task even with talent.

Time passed quickly once again as it was almost time for his baby brother to be born. It was also during this time that Arata noticed that using several chakra natures together requires a lot more chakra to use. Arata's training has made him a lot more stronger and more familiar with the chakra natures and he requires less time to transform the chakra into their respective chakra nature.

Arata stood with a steady stance and his hands clapped together as he closed his eyes in concentration and sweat pouring out, " seal release". He released the seal that had gathered an absurd amount of chakra was released and Arata felt more powerful and full of energy. However, he also noticed the pain because of the huge amount of chakra in his body. Arata had to quickly form his thoughts as he concentrated on changing his chakra natures and quickly performed several hand signs and then placed his hands on the ground as he released the jutsu. As he released his jutsu into the ground, a small tree plant began to sprout out and soon grew faster and faster as a fully grown tree began to emerge on the spot.

Looking at the large tree in front of him, Arata smiled as he said, " Finally." Then Arata fainted as he became exhausted and his seal formed back up and stopped sending chakra to his body.
