After Dr. Banner had finished analyzing the diamond and confirming that it was real. I took my diamond and went along with Key into another room where we would talk more about the auction.

As we sat down in the room that resembled an office. Key started off by asking me if I could sell the diamond to the auction house. But I denied the offer and instead wanted it to be auctioned off.

" I only have one question. How did you find this diamond? And sorry if it might make you a bit uncomfortable, it's something we have to do before selling items in our auction house." Key said somewhat nervous which I thought was out of character.

I guess it's because he might think that I'll be offended which is pretty stupid since this isn't a wuxia novel where I kill people just because they look at me the wrong way.

" I went hiking with a friend and while resting in a cave, I found a glowing rock when I approached the rock. And there I found this once-in-a-lifetime red diamond." It was something I had prepared to answer before coming here.

And although it wasn't the best lie, it at least got the job done.

*SIGH*

When confirming how I had found the diamond, Key nodded as he wiped the non-existing sweat on his forehead before continuing with the conversation.

He later told me that the starting bid would be 10 million dollars. Which although might sound too little for the red diamond, it would flock in more people that could bid against each other making the final bidding offer much higher.

The red diamond in the auction would also be a surprise to the guest. They were supposed to be only noticed of a valuable piece that was impossible to find anywhere else in the world, which would be sold in the upcoming auction. This way more people who were rich would be present in the auction house when the diamond was supposed to be sold.

Naturally, since the diamond was worth more than the other items the auction house had in store, they would also try to make as much profit from it as possible since they were going to get 9% of the total amount.

Key also gave me a card that was for VIP guests. With it, I had my own room where I could watch the ongoing auction from.

When we finished our discussion, he brought out a contract. Which said that the owner of the red diamond was supposed to be me. And that I had agreed on auctioning it off to the Heritage Auctions. And at the end, it read that I would have to give 9% off the Winning bid as fees.

Which I had agreed to and wrote down my name at the bottom. I then gave Key the red diamond before he took out a small case from the drawer and put the diamond inside.

"It's a pleasure doing business with you." Key said as he extended his hand forward.

"I feel the same way." I then shook his hand.

" The chauffeur is waiting at the front door to pick you up, do you need me to guide you to the exit?" He asked

And I declined his offer since there were multiple signs on the walls showing where the exit was.

"Then I will see you in two days, Mr. Spade."

"Till then." I then guided myself to the exit.

When I arrived outside, I looked at the chauffeur standing in front of the Mercedes back door holding it open for me.

As I walked inside, he closed the door and learning from before I dragged the seat belt before buckling it shut. When I was done I saw the man already in his seat ready to drive.

" You can just drive me to the mall where you picked me up from."

"Yes sir."

I could hear the car behind me drive away while I walked inside the mall which was now filled with people.

Taking a look at the time on my phone I found it to be 11 o'clock. I hadn't expected the meeting to take so long.

*GROWLING*

"Hmm? I guess I haven't eaten all day. I wonder what I should buy." As I looked around for a place to eat, I then saw the biggest food chain in the world. Mcdonalds.

"Might as well since I haven't been there in a long while. And they should be serving the lunch menu by now too."

When I entered the food establishment, a nice smell of burgers and other foods invaded my nostrils which made my stomach growl even more.

I walked up to the empty counter and ordered a couple of burgers and a drink before paying for the meal. I then stood a couple of meters away from the counter while on my phone waiting for the food to be ready.

After watching a short youtube video, I heard a lady dressed in a Mcdonalds' uniform call out my order while putting it down on the counter.

I walked to it before grabbing it and searching for an empty seat, and when I found one I put down my lunch on the table before sitting down.

As I took off my jacket and was about to eat my meal, I felt a sudden tap on my shoulders.

" Well look who it is."
