Auction 1

As Robin walked toward the mall, he barely arrived in time at the meeting place with only a few minutes to spare.

In front of the parking lot was the same chauffeur with his black Mercedes standing there holding the door for Robin.

" Heh, I'm getting kinda used to this," Robin said while walking towards him.

. . . .

When they approached the auction house, instead of the same sight where the place was somewhat abandoned and only filled with staff. This time the building was crawling with people who had on fancy clothes. There were also tons of luxurious cars dropping off guests.

The chauffeur then dropped Robin also off near the entrance. And as he stepped out, a couple of people turned and gazed at him. Only to look at him as if he was some type of scum, before looking back.

' Talk about being rude. Well, at least they didn't say anything bad to my face since they would get to taste a punch first thing in the morning.'

But Robin instantly regretted thinking about that. Since they were all rich people and if he somehow hurt them, it would only be bad for his family since they only know how to sue others.

When Robin walked inside the building he turned left before entering the large hall filled with hundreds of chairs. In front of them was a big stage where the items would be presented.

And in the hall, Robin could see that dozens of people were starting to sit before then chatting with the person next to them.

" Madam Rose, I haven't seen you in ages. You never go to any of the auctions yourself and instead let your butler do all the buying for you. Is there something that has interested you this time?" A somewhat fat man with long blonde hair reaching his neck asked the lady sitting next to him

The lady had on a pink dress with black hair that reached her buttocks and a curvaceous figure that only models had, looked back at the man before simply nodding.

Similar conversations were taking place around the hall where those who knew each other would talk about the auction. But what interested most of them was the secret item that the auction house did everything it could to promote it.

And seeing such a lucrative house do its best to promote something only meant that the item was something special.

Above the crowd, on the sides of the walls were multiple glass walls that had their own small rooms inside. Naturally, as a VIP Robin had gotten his own small room.

So while the others were talking, he had already made his way to his room. When he opened the door, a luxurious room with antique furniture and beautiful paintings was displayed in front of him.

Near the glass was a fancy couch where he could sit and observe the ongoing auction. In front of it was also a desk with multiple buttons that he could use to bid and participate. And a bunch of fresh fruit and beverages was placed at the side of the desk.

He would of course buy something that wasn't too pricy, as long as it interested him. And he could simply pay it with the money he would earn from the diamond. But he wasn't sure it was going to happen, since as long as the item wasn't living then he could simply recreate it himself.

Taking his seat, a few seconds later. Robin heard knocking on the door behind him.

"Enter." He said while wondering who it was.

And as the door opened, a woman in her 20s that was quite beautiful entered.

"Hm?" But what confused Robin was why the woman was wearing a maid costume.

"Mister, I was sent here to help answer any question that you may have." She said while bowing at a 90-degree angle toward me.

"I see." Robin tried to play it cool even though he was somewhat weirded out by this sudden turn of events. But in the end, he thought of it as something only rich people do.

It was at this moment the lights in the auction room dimmed. The guests had all already arrived and a person could be seen standing on the stage. Robin recognized her as the woman standing at the counter when he had arrived at the auction house two days ago.

" Welcome to the Heritage Auction's 210th opening. And as always we have many valuable and rare treasures that will be auctioned off today. But not only that, a special item will be shown at the end so try your best to save money until then." She said with a bright smile.

The crowd pleased with her presentation started to clap before they stopped noticing that she was pointing at the VIP section while about to say something.

"And a special thanks to the person in one of these rooms for choosing to trust their item with us. As they have requested to be incognito we'll respect their wishes by not revealing any information about them."

When the crowd heard that, they all turned back glancing at the glass windows but giving up since they were all one-way mirrors.

When the woman had given the presentation speech she looked at a worker on the side holding a comic book. That said person knowing what to do walked onto the stage before putting the comic down on a stand in the middle of the stage before they walked back.

"For our first item of the day, we have the first comic book ever drawn. The Yellow Kid in McFadden's Flats."

. . . . . . . . . .

HMM??? ANOTHER ONE?

As thanks for reaching the top 50 in the rankings, I've decided to gift you mortals with yet another chapter. And don't worry, I'll still post the daily one later today.

Also, do you guys want me to send Robin into anime worlds to do challenges for a reason.

Or simply make it only about this world?
