237. Sophia Keren, The Reincarnator

Izumi's conversation with the coachman and the two guards was watched closely by Kumoko while learning the human language in her new world. Whether because of the system set up by D or some other reason, Kumoko gradually understood what Izumi was saying to the coachman and the two guards.

When the coachman and the two guards heard that Kumoko was his tamed beast, they looked a little relieved even though they didn't lower their guard. What they have in mind, a monster is still a monster. No matter how submissive a monster was to a person, a monster like Kumoko was still dangerous.

The coachman looked at Izumi's face, who was young but had strength on par with a high-class mage. He wondered, since when there was such a strong youngster like Izumi. Moreover, he even tamed a powerful spider. Izumi's outfit also looked of high quality, but it seemed odd because it wasn't a model one had ever seen.

He wore a white trench coat with a tall-stiff collar and a gold chain pierced on the left. Underneath, he wore a fitted undershirt which was his IS suit. He also wore tights of the same color as the trenchcoat he was wearing.

It is Jojo's outfit in part 4, Diamond is Unbreakable.

"Anyway, we're really grateful for your help. If it weren't for you, I don't know what they would have done to my lord and lady and their daughter."

After the coachman spoke, the noble couple who were in the carriage came out together.

"My lord, my lady."

"Please be careful, this monster is dangerous!"

The coachman and the two guards respectfully greeted the noble couple who were holding their daughter. They also said that Kumoko was dangerous and asked the noble couple not to come near.

"You guys are being rude to our savior. Isn't that monster already tamed? You don't have to worry about it."

"I'm sorry my lord."

The coachman didn't seem to be just an ordinary coachman, he seemed to be the noble's right-hand man. After apologizing to his master, he turned to Izumi and apologized. The nobleman also apologized for his right hand's impoliteness. He introduced himself along with his wife. They also introduced their daughter. Her name is Sophia Keren.

"So, Mr. and Mrs. Keren. My name is Miyamura Izumi. Oh right, Miyamura is my family name, and Izumi is my given name."

The name Izumi sounded strange to them because it was the first time they had heard of someone whose surname and given name were reversed.

Izumi glanced at their daughter who seemed dumbfounded by Izumi's presence. Especially his face and name which are familiar to Sophia. Well, she naturally felt familiar since his name was Japanese.

After seeing the baby girl, Izumi said to Mr. Keren.

"Mister, it seems you have become someone's target."

Hearing Izumi's words, Mr. Keren immediately thought that the previous attack was intentional. He murmured.

"Target? Was it because of the previous negotiations, the neighboring country of Ohts started to attack in secret?"

Even though Mr. Keren was just muttering, Izumi could still hear him and started to respond.

"The neighboring country? You're wrong, mister. The one after you is an elf leader."

"Eh?"

Seeing Mr. Keren who was doubting Izumi, he said.

"Wait a minute!" Izumi asked the nobleman to wait a moment. He turned to Kumoko and said in Japanese. "Kumo-chan, please take care of them for a while! You can see the status of the baby girl first! You'll probably understand after seeing her status."

"What made you say I would understand? Your words are too complicated."

Kumoko complained that Izumi's words sometimes didn't always get to the point. Meanwhile, Mr. and Mrs. Keren looked surprised at the spider monster who spoke the same language as Izumi.

In fact, Izumi and Kumoko who spoke in Japanese were immediately understood by the one-year-old baby girl, Sophia. Sophia became a little scared because her secret was known by others. She is afraid that a young man called Izumi will tell her parents that she is a vampire as opposed to her parents' identity as pure humans.

But Izumi said nothing. Precisely after talking to Kumoko, Izumi took out two Kunai which made the coachman and two guards stand in front of Mr. and Mrs. Keren to protect them.

Izumi ignored their reactions. He stuck one of the Kunai into the ground and threw the other one in a certain direction. Then, he formed a hand seal.

"Hiraishin no Jutsu."

Then he disappeared from where he was standing.

Kumoko who saw Izumi's action immediately jumped up and said.

"Whoa, what's that?"

The technique Izumi showed did look like teleportation magic, but Kumoko didn't feel any magic circle at all. This surprised her because what Izumi did always had nothing to do with magic.

It didn't take long, Izumi suddenly appeared holding the Kunai that he had stuck in the ground. Not only the pair of nobles and their subordinates were surprised, even Kumoko jumped backward in shock.

Mr. Keren asked Izumi.

"What did you just do?"

Izumi took out and stored the Kunai he was holding in the storage space, then turned to Mr. Keren while answering.

"Similar to teleportation magic, my technique uses the two things I took out earlier as coordinates."

"What a wonderful technique." Mr. Keren was astonished by that.

Izumi put on a serious face. He started to say.

"As I've said before, someone is after you. And this has nothing to do with the country of Ohts you mentioned earlier. Ah, actually this has nothing to do with you too because what those people are after is your daughter."

"My daughter?"

Mr. and Mrs. Keren glanced at each other and simultaneously saw their daughter who was being carried by Mrs. Keren.

Izumi could have kidnapped their daughter, but their daughter has the mentality of a 17-year-old girl. Izumi doesn't want a fight just because the girl felt she had been kidnapped and separated from her parents.

"I'll show you something! You better close your daughter's eyes because it's too early for her to see."

With Izumi's warning, Mr. and Mrs. Keren closed Sophia's eyes.

Izumi took out a scroll and slowly opened it. On the scroll, there is a seal form that is very foreign to the eyes of those around him.

"Kai."

When Izumi opened the seal, thick smoke appeared above the scroll and the corpses of the fully armed elves appeared in their sights.

"Elves?"

"Yes, after the bandits failed to finish you off, these elves prepared to attack you. However, this spider spontaneously killed them off with her skill."

Then Izumi told them that the elves had started the slave trade behind the scenes by hiring bandits. And this time, their daughter was the target.

"Why do the elves want to kidnap our daughter?"

Izumi resealed the corpse into the scroll, then approached Mr. and Mrs. Keren.

"I want to see your daughter first. I can tell you afterward."

At first, the couple hesitated, but they nodded and allowed Izumi to see their daughter.

Izumi didn't turn her head but spoke to Kumoko in Japanese.

"Kumo-chan, how is it? Have you seen Sophia's status?"

"I have a lot of questions here. Both her parents are human, why is she a vampire? So, what's with that "Negishi Shouko"? Does the word "Negishi Shouko" read as "Sophia Keren" in this world?"

"Hey, calm down Kumo-chan!"

"Don't tell me she's a reincarnator? But why a vampire? Moles under her eyes, canines, red eyes. Wouldn't she be super-duper beautiful when she grows up? Just look at me! A spider, you know? Spider!! Born surrounded by cannibals, born in the bottom layer of the labyrinth, many powerful monsters, attacked by humans. Unfair!! How unfair!!!"

Kumoko rolled over in annoyance after comparing herself to Sophia. Izumi laughed at her behavior.

Mr. and Mrs. Keren didn't know what was wrong with the spider, but seeing Izumi laughing, they both smiled even though they didn't understand what they were saying. They just wanted to know what language they were using because it was clear that spiders spoke like humans.

At that moment, Izumi turned to Sophia. He smiled and said.

"You know what we're talking about, don't you?"

Sophia stiffened. She tried to take her eyes off Izumi.

Sophia's mother wanted to know what Izumi meant by speaking to Sophia in a foreign language, but her husband stopped her. Mr. Keren could see Sophia's behavior was different from normal babies, so he was also curious.

"If you don't want to talk...Kumo-chan..."

Izumi turned to Kumoko while signaling her to play around.

"How about we kidnap Sophia and take her to the bottom layer of the labyrinth? There are a lot of monsters there, right?"

Hearing Izumi's words, Sophia's face immediately turned pale. And just then, Kumoko answered.

"Right, but it's better in the upper layer of the labyrinth first so she can get some experience."

Sophia was stiffened in fear. Before she could reply, Izumi chuckled.

Izumi decided to not let Sophia talk since her parents might creep out when a year-old baby could talk normally.
