206 206. You're a Nice Guy

Hearing that Rori would tell the reason why Izumi and Kyouko broke up, Tōru, Hiroyuki, and Shou became interested to hear that. Since the three of them intended to treat Izumi to a meal, they took Rori along so they could know the reason she mentioned it earlier.

"By the way little miss, I heard you say that you just came to Japan, where did you come from?"

"Hmmm, you are...."

"Ah, sorry forgot to introduce myself. My name is Ishikawa Tōru."

"I'm Kurusu Hiroyuki."

"I'm Nakijin Shou."

"Well, I'm not asking your name though."

The three of them were stunned and embarrassed after Rori said that. Rori asked the three of them.

"Anyway, where do you think I'm from?"

Tōru was the first to answer.

"Hmmm, you don't look European or American, you look Asian, but... Uhh, that's weird. Are you half Japanese?"

Rori wiggled her index finger to the left and right repeatedly.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. You're wrong. But, I'm certainly not from Japan."

Well, it didn't matter where Rori came from. What was surprising was how a little girl like her could roam alone in a country she didn't live in.

"More importantly, how did you get to know Izumi? And it seems, Izumi is afraid of you."

At that moment, Hiroyuki asked a question that made Tōru and Shou look at him. Even Izumi didn't expect Hiroyuki to throw that question to Rori.

While walking together, Rori said.

Hypnosis was no stranger to them but this was the first time seeing someone who could do it before their very eyes. They wondered if Rori could use other magic like the ones shown on television, such as illusions or something. But Rori said she couldn't.

Izumi was relieved that Rori was smart enough to trick his friends.

Before long, they arrived at a small restaurant and immediately ordered food. The prices over there were quite affordable, so it wouldn't be much of a problem if Izumi ordered a lot of food.

While waiting for their orders, Rori began to speak.

"Well, Izumi, aren't you going to tell them, or should I?"

Of course, what Rori meant was the reason why Izumi broke up with Kyouko.

"Sigh. To be honest, I don't want to talk about that, you know." Izumi said.

"Why don't you admit that you have a charismatic aura that causes the girls to have their eyes on you?"

"Me? Charismatic? Are you sure you're not joking?"

"If I were joking, everyone would be reluctant to follow you."

Izumi was at a loss for words. He had no idea if everyone in the chat group had that thought of him.

"Oh, I see. Since you've been dating for a while, you think it's fine if you tell her everything about you. Too bad she didn't like it. Then, she dumped you afterward."

"Well, something like that." Izumi answered with a smile. Although Tōru's guess wasn't right on the spot, his response was more or less close.

Izumi did not give a clear enough reason, but at least they knew that Izumi was only showing his true self to his girlfriend.

However, Izumi should clear the misunderstanding between him and Tabane to her regardless. It was also the reason she decided to break up with him.

"Don't worry. You can find the others. You are quite popular at school, you know. As proof, haven't you gotten a lot of letters in your locker these days?" Hiroyuki tried to comfort Izumi. And what Hiroyuki said was true. After he broke up with Kyouko, many love letters were put into his locker.

But Izumi rejected their confessions. Already feeling that he was unsuitable to date a normal girl, he had no intention of looking for a normal girlfriend who might end up like Kyouko.

"By the way, Rori-san. Don't you go to school? Summer holiday hasn't started yet, but you've already gone overseas."

However, it wasn't Rori who answered, but Izumi.

"I didn't think she's already graduated."

"Now you think of it, doesn't it means Izumi become smarter because of Rori?"

Izumi's friends immediately praised Rori after he told them why she didn't go to school. Their reactions made Izumi twitch his cheek in annoyance. He thought. "This fuckin old hag act like a cheeky girl in front of my friends."

Even though they looked like they were having fun, Izumi saw that there was something different about Tōru. He could already guess what was on Tōru's mind.

"Tōru! Can we talk for a bit?"

Hiroyuki and Shou looked at Izumi, not knowing why he called out to Tōru.

"What's up?"

"Well, we can talk while walking. I have something to tell you."

Tōru nodded. And since Hiroyuki and Shou's directions were different, they said goodbye to Izumi.

Izumi walked along with Tōru and Rori.

Tōru asked first.

"So what do you want to tell?"

"You know, you don't have to hold back just because of me!"

Izumi's words were difficult for him to digest, so Tōru asked.

"What do you mean?"

"Kyouko."

Hearing that one word, Tōru immediately flinched.

"W-w-what are you talking about."

"You still like her, don't you? But you didn't even talk to her because of me."

Tōru would feel bad if he approached Kyouko after just breaking up with Izumi. He didn't want his friendship with Izumi to be ruined because of a girl, so he tried to keep his distance from Kyouko. However, when Tōru heard that Kyouko had broken up with Izumi, he felt like approaching Kyouko again, but Kyouko and Izumi's relationship might go back to the way it was, and it made him refrain from doing so.

"But, you..."

"You don't have to worry about me." Izumi shook his head.

"But, don't you want to get back to her?"

Hearing Tōru's question, Izumi thought that he was really a good friend. He even still put his love aside just for the sake of his friend. Izumi gave him support while patting his shoulder.

"If you like her, go after her! Don't let other people take her. I won't date her again since we don't match each other. So, this is your chance."

Izumi said it with a heavy heart. Even though he still liked Kyouko, he couldn't go back ever again. Dealing with normal girls would indeed be troublesome if they knew Izumi's true self. They would be scared shitless when they found out that Izumi was not an ordinary person and was a person who had always been covered in blood.
