170. Looking For Someone

Izumi looked at Dosu with sharp eyes, then his lips moved and started to ask.

"I wonder, what did you guys get from Orochimaru?"

"Humph, what do you know? Orochimaru-sama is our savior." Dosu snorted at Izumi's question.

"I see. A savior, huh? Then why doesn't your savior save you now? Where is he now?"

Izumi asked playfully, however he didn't get an answer, so he said further.

"Don't wanna answer? That's very disappointing."

Izumi turned around while shaking his head. He checked the surroundings using Haki, but there was no sign of Orochimaru's aura or presence.

But then, Izumi felt Dosu wanted to do something when he looked away even though he was surrounded by the wind blades. Dosu glanced at the fainted Kazuma and Kuroneko who looked relaxed, he felt they were both weaker than him. He planned to distract Izumi so he could escape from here without caring about his comrades.

Dosu had the ability to control sound waves. So, even without using physical attacks, he was still able to attack others with his abilities.

Too bad, Dosu didn't realize that Izumi knew what Dosu wanted to do. Izumi didn't want Dosu to target his friends. Thus, he took immediate action.

The wind blades around Dosu became even more violent. Dosu was about to attack by using a sound wave, but then he screamed in agony.

"Ahhhh!!!!"

With perfect control, the wind blades circled around Dosu so quickly that they formed a sphere. Within the sphere, the wind blades struck and slashed Dosu's body over and over.

"Idiot, I was planning to forgive you. But you planned to do something stupid instead."

Zaku was right next to Dosu. He stiffened when looking at Dosu who was trapped inside the sphere. Such ninjutsu was not something a Chūnin-level ninja could do.

Zaku, Dosu, and Kin had been warned by Orochimaru not to do anything if there was a shoulder-length black-haired youth, and not to fight him.

He thought Orochimaru was exaggerating, and what Zaku had in mind was that if the situation was unfavorable, he could run away from the person Orochimaru mentioned.

Unfortunately, the reality was not on his side. Not only Izumi's comrades were strong, but Izumi himself was too dangerous. How could he run away from someone like Izumi when Izumi could even fly by snapping fingers? Impossible.

The sphere of wind disappeared. Dosu was covered in wounds all over his body and blood dripped from the wound, he fell to the ground lifelessly after the sphere disappeared.

Zaku slowly approached Dosu's body. He checked his breathing, pulse, and heart to make sure. After checking, he was certain that Dosu had been killed by the attack earlier.

Zaku felt frustrated because he was still weak in front of his opponent. Even though he had been given the opportunity by Orochimaru to become stronger.

Izumi could feel Zaku's deep despair. This made him say.

"If you want to return to Orochimaru, tell him. "Be careful, lest I destroy the fragments of your soul." Make sure you tell him this. If you don't want to return… Then, you can meet Lord Yama in the underworld."

Looking at Izumi already preparing his kunai. Zaku was scared shitless. So, he immediately ran away. But, Izumi grabbed him.

Zaku glanced at Izumi slowly.

"Hey, bring her as well!" Izumi ordered while pointing at Kin.

He immediately picked up the girl and ran away.

After that Izumi glanced at Neji and Lee who had been watching him for a long time. His mouth curled and he started walking toward them which made them both stiffen. They both lost to Luffy in terms of hand-to-hand combat, even though that was their forte.

Meanwhile, Izumi was like a young leader from Kaiyougakure. Even if Izumi wasn't stronger than Luffy, at least they were on the same level. That meant, they couldn't defeat Izumi when both of them lost 2 v 1 against Luffy.

When he was about to say something, Izumi's shadow clone suddenly appeared with Yuki Onna using Hiraishin no Jutsu. Then, Izumi's shadow clone dispersed into smoke. The memories from his shadow clone were sent to Izumi's head.

Izumi knit his brows. He couldn't find what he was looking for.

Izumi turned his head to Kuroneko and the others.

"Guys, let's go! We're gonna find someone."

Their expressions were wondering, who was the person Izumi was looking for.

"Who?"

"You will know later."

Hiiro asked, but Izumi once again gave a vague answer.

He walked in a certain direction. However, he stopped in his tracks. He turned toward Sasuke.

"Sasuke, your situation is at a disadvantage with Naruto still unconscious, come with us!"

"No, we're fine." Sasuke shook his head refusing Izumi's offer. But Izumi insisted on bringing Sasuke because he had a plan for him.

"Don't lie! Just come with us! I know your mind is troubled by something, come with us, I will tell you something!"

Sasuke wrinkled his forehead and said coldly.

"I told you, I'm fine. I don't need your sympathy. Also, I don't care what you want to tell me."

"Even if it's related to your brother?"

"W-w-what?" Sasuke shuttered. His gaze immediately focused on Izumi.

"Heh, he took the bait." Izumi said inwardly.

"Just come with us, It's also related to him!"

Sasuke hesitated a bit, he turned to Sakura who whispered to Sasuke.

"We can take this opportunity until Naruto wakes up. I know this is an exam, but there's nothing wrong with having another team help us out. After all, they already had more scrolls. They won't snatch our scroll as we know their characters a little bit. After Naruto regained consciousness, we can go."

Listening to a whisper from Sakura, Sasuke was silent for a moment, then nodded.

"You're right, Sakura."

After Sakura reassured him, Sasuke finally agreed to follow Izumi and the group.

Izumi carried Naruto who was still unconscious and then walked in front to lead the others. Izumi walked randomly while looking for a person.

They weren't in a hurry. Since the exam was still a few days away, they enjoyed walking while looking for edible plants or vegetation for ingredients.

When it was getting dark, Izumi looked for a suitable place to rest. Suddenly…

"Ugghh, ramen!"

"Naruto!"

"Naruto!"

Sakura and Sasuke turned to look at Naruto who was already delirious. This was a sign that he was fine.

Since Naruto was getting better, Sasuke wanted to leave Izumi and his group, but Izumi hadn't told him anything about his brother, Itachi. In the end, he chose to be patient and followed Izumi anyway.

Izumi and his comrades were preparing tents, When Izumi walked past Sasuke, he said. "We'd better talk face-to-face about your brother later."

Sasuke understood, so he just nodded.

After a while, the tents had been set up, and Izumi had also prepared utensils for cooking.

Sakura and Sasuke were amazed, where did they get all that? Moreover, they were also in the middle of the forest. Wouldn't it be dangerous for them to cook in the middle of the forest like this? The fire could attract other examinees or wild beasts. However, after a while, nothing came close to where they were.

Izumi saw Naruto who was still asleep, so he slapped him.

But when his eyes caught Izumi, he looked confused. He didn't know how he could be together with Izumi. But then, Naruto saw Sasuke and Sakura as well. Sasuke and Sakura told him what happened while he was unconscious.

"Well, let's have dinner first. You've been unconscious for a day. Eat up, we're—"

Izumi suddenly stopped talking. He heard a voice that seemed quite far away. Too bad, his Haki couldn't reach the source of the voice.

He turned to others while saying.

"I'll check for a bit. Hiiro, cast an illusion in case Orochimaru decides to take action!"

After he got Hiiro's confirmation. He went to find the source of the sound.
