The Price of Greed

Ogre was a captain of the Imperial Police.

Ogre was a large, muscular man with black hair that was graying near his temples. He had an unusual hairstyle with four ponytails or braids on the back of his head wrapped in white cloth.

He had a large, star-shaped scar over his missing left eye, while his remaining eye was red with a black sclera. His teeth were shown to be quite sharp, which give him a monster/demon-like aspect.

Ogre was a prideful and corrupt man.

He would accept bribes from an oil merchant named Gamal and other criminals, and often framed innocent people to take the fall for the criminals.

He enjoyed interrogating suspects and, presumably, abused his authority quite often, going as far as calling himself "the king of the city".

And this time he comes because of gossip from his men, General Esdeath is having affair with an unknown merchant that arrive a couple of days ago.

Of course, he will not going to mess with these kinds of people when they are known by their superiors but this one is different.

The shop as the report said contains "Teigu" and having this contraband is a huge crime that can make any holder die without their whole body.

If a normal Soldier discovered this case, he or she will go to report it to the higher-ups but Ogre is different.

He is a corrupt man, his greed is overflowing.

When he heard the report, the first thing he did is kill the person who wants to report it, after all this information is crucial for his career.

Successfully accomplishing this mission can make his power as a General or a prisoner to be executed.

But he is greedy so he chose to gamble.

If he finds a powerful "Teigu" on the shop, then he will hit the jock pot but if not, he can sell it to the other corrupt official to escape his crime.

Of course, it's different if the "Teigu" is powerful, the more power the better.

He is not only greedy but also prideful, he doesn't want to be a soldier in his whole life, he wants the higher position.

If possible he want to be in line as General Esdeath and Great General Budo

Great General Budo was one of the Empire's most feared and well-respected generals, as well as leading the Imperial Guard, the force in charge of protecting the palace. Noted for his immense strength and all-around battle prowess, he commanded a great deal of respect from his subordinates and other factions alike.

Having a powerful "Teigu" just like the two generals can make him leap to a higher position making his escape as a foot soldier.

So he come up with a plan.

He wants the Teigu from this store, even if the owner is the lover of the general he doesn't care, there are people who can protect his life even if he fails to find what he needs.

So before night, he cleans the street and come up with a huge entrapment to prevent the other party to call for help.

And his plan is a success, he got the kid and the store without anyone knowing what was inside.

With his trusted assistant, they can clean everything without as anyone knowing but there's a huge problem.

He checks everything except for the person's personal strength.

Right now he can't even move his finger from the pressure that the boy giving, a pressure that even the General of the empire can't produce.

Ogre know he kick an iron plate this time, he want to beg but the pressure is rending his speaking.

With great difficulty, he finally manage to speak.

"So you know what you're doing! Your fighting the whole Empire!"

"You want to die? If I'm you better let us go before the Army arrive, maybe we can lessen your crime." Ogre taunting said.

"Idiot." Xin simple reply.
