Family Talk.

His mother and sister looked at him with worried faces. His father, like the easy-going person he was encouraged him to continue with a nod and smile.

He took another deep breath and with resolution say, "I'm sorry…but I don't want to travel, I want to study in Tokyo!"

The rest of the family look at him in silence making him squirm.

It was the sound of Azusa sniffing and about to cry that broke the awkward atmosphere. His mother was about to speak but his father showing his rare serious face say, "I have some questions"

Kanae nodded his head, making his father ask, "Why now?"

"I have been thinking a lot. I first accepted because I didn't have a clear path forward and didn't want to leave Azusa alone…but now…I have a goal"

That was a lie, he already had a goal, to be a fashion designer, but now he had one more.

Hearing this, Azusa started to cry and run towards her room.

Seeing this he sigh and wanted to go but his father stop him, "Chisa, can you leave the two of us alone?"

My mother (Chisa) wanted to say something but seeing the serious eyes of my father she nodded. She starts to walk towards the start, to take care of the crying sister.

Still, she leaves some words behind, "I'm sad that you don't want to come with us, but happy that you have a clear goal"

His father, on the other hand, said, "Now. Tell me this clear path of you"

"Yes. I want to form a band and play music live"

"What about making your clothing brand? I thought it was your dream to be a designer?"

He responded with a serious nod, "I want to do both"

Looking at the serious face of his son he sighed and nodded his head, "What about money? What school are you going to? You know that all the exams are already done, right? And what about your sister? Are you planning to leave her alone?"

Kanae had been preparing himself while eating so he responded fast, "I can make money easily by playing the guitar in bars or teaching classes, you know I'm good.

"About the school. Sakura School of Arts has a special examination exam for talented students. And about Azusa…I want her to live with me. I can take care of her and I don't want her to travel without having any friends."

Hearings this his father's lips twitched in annoyance and a little irked he said, "You just want Azusa for yourself!"

He shamelessly nodded his head while smiling and says, "Ye—*back head-slapping sound*—Hey!"

Seeing his son caressing his head he nodded as if saying 'good work dad', but after a couple of seconds he sigh and say, "You are prepared for this? I'm getting worried, to be honest. I don't care If you want to try and live for yourself, is part of growing up and you are already 17…but taking care of your sister? Are you sure that you can do it?"

Kanae nodded, "Give me two months! If I don't have a job or enough money to take care of her I will pay her the fly to whatever place you are!"

Hearing the resolution of his son's voice he sighs in resignation while internally thinking 'He grow up'.

"Haaaa, okey! That's what youth is about! You have my blessing son!

"Now. go to your mother and sister and tell them the news! I know that your sister must be feeling awful!"

Kanae looked at his father with shiny eyes and with a deep bow say, "I'm going to succeed!"

Nakano's Father looks at his son back while thinking why did he change so suddenly.

He knew his son very well and knew that he was somewhat of a lazy bum. He did work hard towards his goal of being a designer, but everything else?

Yes, he didn't know what make him change so much, but he think that it was good news and hopefully working and taking care of himself would make him a good adult.

Kanae was now in front of her sister's bedroom, he could hear the sniffing, making him feel really guilty. 'Great only a day here and I already make her cry….' He sighs but still enters the room.

"Azu—Kanae Baka *sniff* I hate you!—"

Hearing this he could imagine an arrow stabbing him in the chest. Also, the death glare of her mother wasn't helping.

He still enters the room and looking at both mother and sister hugging he prepares himself.

His mother had noticed something weird but the wide of her eyes had been a little too late and by the time she screamed for her son to stop, Kanae was already jumping towards the duo with his arms wide open, "I'M SOOORRY!"

He plopped on top of her mother and sister and while tightly hugging the struggling victims, he said, "I speak with dad. Azusa, if you want you can live with me! Onii-chan is going to give you a nice life while you have new friends in school! Mom! I'm sorry but I want to play music!"

The theatrics of Kanae made the struggles stop.

Like a quick bear, His mom was now hugging him while whispering, "Is okey son, mom will always be proud of you and support you"

Seeing the unconditional love of his mother he close his eyes, he knew that this love could disappear in a blink of an eye, so he wanted to engrave this moment in his brain.

His sister, on the other hand, stopped crying and while peeping at the two huggers asked, "You not leaving me?"

He release his mother and instead hugged her little sister from behind and say, "Never little mochi, you are staying with me forever"

Azusa nodded her head and mumble, "I don't hate you anymore…"

"Hehehe doesn't matter I will keep loving my little mochi"

The father who was spying from outside the room looked at the three hugging with a little jealousy and with the resolution of papa bear, he screamed, "Make space for papa!!!"

"Kyaaaa!"

*CRASH!!*

*Thud*

"M-my waist!"

And it was with the scream of a hurt father, a worried Chisa and the laughter of Azusa that Kanae Nakano started his first day in this new world.

Hearing the laugh of his sister and how he makes her cry just a little earlier had grown his conviction of success. 'I will protect that smile!'
