CH. 60: The Higher Gods

The siren of Babel activates. The imminent sound of the high pitched audio alarms everyone in Orario.

What a luxury, this was their second dose this month.

Alas, the people who realize the ongoing emergency look at the direction of Babel. Then, they see a black silhouette. It seemed to be a flying dragon, those who noticed it took shelter, without question without even knowing where it came from.

But those who were familiar with the legend, could only observe the creature with despair and shock. Some even collapsed, fainted... Or even committed suicide.

For this, was the legendary creature that drew an end to the Zeus and Hera Familia who were considered the strongest antagonist groups back then. The only thing they could do, was rip one of it's eyes...

"Huh, so this lizard is the one eyed black dragon" Akira looks at the robot portrait in the quest sheet then compares it with the flying black dragon. The ressemblance wasn't perfect but they had the same description.

"AKIRAAA!!!" A petite feminine voice yells out. The boy looks down and sees Milim rushing towards him. She hugs him tightly then speaks "If those meanies say anything about me they are just lying!!" She shouts while hiding behind his back.

He looks underneath and sees Carrera, as well as Testarossa and Ultima holding Saeko, all four coming at him. Carrera was pissed, veins were visible on her face. Her pupils were scorching with fire.

"Milim... I'M GONNA KILL YOU!" Carrera yells with a destructive voice that shakes the world. *Gulp!* Fear spreads on the playful Milim's face who hides behind Akira.

"How did that happen?" He asks.

"It seems like the 61th floor of the dungeon was nest to the legendary one eyed black dragon. Milim fought against him but he escaped during the fight" Testarossa explained.

Akira sighs, "Doesn't matter now." His growing bloodlust can be reflected on his glowing red eyes.

"That dragon made Hestia cry." He adds.

"Are ya a lolicon?" Carrera asks with a raised brow.

Stars appear in Ultima's eyes, "IS THAT TRUE AKIRA~?!" She shouts with passion and red cheeks. "Woah! Can you put me down Ultima?" Saeko asks. She lets Saeko down near Akira.

Akira reaches his hand forward. The dragon notices Akira's hostility, he rushes towards him while groaning and roaring with rage.

Akira clenches his fist. The black dragon freezes in his place. And suddenly, a loud sound that ressembled that of hundreds of bones simultaneously cracking resonated in the sky.

The dragon tries moving, without success. Blood starts spilling from every orifice in his body, rivers of the life substance splashed from his mouth, nose, long ears, genitals... From his single eye.

The dragon falls on the ground, it twitches and tries getting up, but it couldn't move. His nervous system was completely destroyed, his bones were obliterated, and his body became a living dispenser of blood.

The building he had fallen on started cracking. It collapsed after a few seconds after failing in supporting the weight of the dragon. The people scream and run away in terror after seeing the dragon from up close.

The dragon's body stops twitching. And he dies, after losing the entirety of his insides. "Ooh! That was amazing!!" Milim shouts in happiness. "Hahahahaha! Just what I'd expect from my friend!" She adds once again.

The other are also impressed by Akira's power, and they knew that this was nothing but an infinitely small fraction of his powers, though it was suffisant for now, he could destroy all the worlds and timelines he wanted when they go to the powerful worlds...

"I-I can't believe it..."

"Th-They defeated the legendary one eyed black dragon...."

"I heard this monster destroyed two Familias a century ago!!"

"Does this mean we're assisting the birth of a legend???"

These sentences and mumblings were spreading quickly. Everyone looked up in the sky and saw Nox and his Familia standing with pride. "H-He defeated him!! Akira completed the last great quest!!!!" Hephaestus exclaimed with shock.

While the gods were looking from the windows of Babel with pure shock and disbelief, Hestia could only watch as Akira created a legend. Her cheeks flush in happiness and her mouth opens in joy to form a wide smile on her expression, "I knew he would win! I didn't doubt it a second!" She exclaims while puffing her chest.

"Ano... Then how do you explain that sweating, Hestia-chan~" Demeter teases the loli goddess. "Shush Demeter, lemme enjoy the moment!" Hestia roars.

The milf goddess chuckled. Akira was very impressive, if Hestia isn't careful, she might try stealing him from him. "Hehe~ I'm just teasing you silly~" She laughed.

[[ On The Other Hand... ]]

Ouranos, the true leader and owner of the guild, the first god to have descended on earth, one of the oldest primordial greek gods.

As you may see, this divinity can be called by numerous names, each being more extravagant than the other. A legend, to say the least. The man was sitting on his throne, deep inside an isolated space only his closest fellow gods knew about... And his wife.

But in this day, the silence that envelopes his domain has opened up to welcome another visitor. His assistant from the council, Iris. The quintessential messager goddess. A young woman with blue light hair, yellow eyes and a modest build.

She kneels before Ouranos. He tells her to get up and stat her business here.

This was one of the first times he'd see her here. The only thing that could justify her appearance is something god-related back in the heavens or divine realm.

Iris speaks a few words, taking a break between each sentence. Sweat appears on her face. The tension around is getting more tense, "Your wife, and our beloved mistress, Geia. Has been killed, through erasure. Not even the body remains. I'm very sorry to bring you these news." She calms down after finishing the report. Now she stares at Ouranos, who's having an internal breakdown.

Ouranos's eyes widen. His mouth opens in shock. His eyes twitch, and his limbs tremble.

Ah, the lost of a beloved aches back on the surface. But this time was different, Geia was a goddess beloved of all, who would raise his hand on such a pure creature? How's wicked enough to make such sin??

Ouranos disappears from the domain. Iris feels his presence leaving earth, back into the Divine Realm. She leaves as well, this was probably going to be the calmest moment compared to what's coming.

[[ Higher Gods Council ]]

The gods standing in the higher ranking of the divinity hierarchy were undergoing an emergency meeting. Due to the disappearance of the Primordial Greek God's wife, a reunion was imposed.

Some agreed to it because they wanted to avenge the beloved Geia, but some participated because they were eager to know the being who did that.

The reunion was being held on the very edge of the inner void. A cloudy space with a beautiful warm sunset and an azur ocean underneath the table these gods were sitting around.

Ouranos appears in a distance. The gods notice his arrival, he was clearly pissed off, but anyone in his position would feel the same, his wife was killed through Erasure which completely destroys her very soul, unable to resurrect in any mean.

Ouranos sits around the table. Everyone stays quiet before Chaos, the ancient primordial god also knows as the leader starts speaking, "I declare this meeting open..." He speaks with a monotone cold voice.

Around the table were five gods in total, seven when Geia was still alive. Chaos, Ouranos, Erebus, Tartarus and Eros. The seventh, Nyx has been banished from the divine realm long ago. More on that soon.

"Thank you, Sir Chaos. We'll start by analyzing the portrait of the god who erased Mistress Geia." Iris speaks, she summons a parchment containing the appearance of the god who killed Geia.

She made five and gave one to each primordial god. "His name is Khiarreh'Nox, but he calls himself Akira Nava. His race is god, though his position in the rankings is unknown, he was never registered in the <Celestial Records> " Iris says.

"I-I recognize him!!" Ouranos exclaims. His aura leaks of his body, "Indeed, Sir Ouranos. He is the new god that appeared in earth and created the Nox Familia." She replied.

"Grr!!" He groans, "That bastard! He descended to Earth right after ruthlessly killing my dear!!" He roars with anger clear in his voice.

Erebus, a tall dark shadow disguised in black knight armor speaks his mind, "For the sake of our partner, we shall annihilate this threat." He says with a robotic voice that resonated through the cracks in his helmet.

"Will that be enough to satisfy you, Ouranos?" Eros speaks. The primordial god of love, though he wasn't going to sympathize with the one who killed the beloved Geia this time. In normal circumstances, he'd plead in favor of the criminal, but in this case, there were no excuses.

Khiarreh'Nox is a threat.

"I'll immobilize the troops... I'll slaughter him and make him suffer... That's the only way to avenge Geia..." Tartarus speaks. A dark primordial god obssessed with torture and death.

Iris wanted to speak, but seeing all the gods talking she couldn't bring herself to interrupting them, "His name is Khiarreh'Nox. Shouldn't you know how powerful he is before attacking him? That name is very mysterious." Chaos remarks.

'Thanks, Sir Chaos.' Iris said in her mind.

"Although I heard about his extraordinary achievements as a Familia host, i don't expect him to be stronger than the average normal god—" Ouranos says, interrupted at the end by Erebus, "Who cares? We'll massacre him anyway. No one can stand against a group of primordial beings" The prideful knight says.

And he was probably right, according to them. "Prepare the dragon army, we'll attack Orario next month" Ouranos orders.

"What do you think, Sir Chaos?" Iris asks, everyone's attention gazes on the ancient primordial.

"Approved." He simply says.

And thus, the race towards Earth started.
