50 CH. 50: Divinity in Danmachi

(A/N: There will be a vote for new worlds tomorrow)

The Hostess of Fertility was a famous inn known throughout all of Orario. During the afternoon, Mia Grand ―Owner of the place― and her maids would decorate the establishment with aesthetic decorations that would give a fancy vibe to anyone there.

During that time, the adventurers are off to the dungeon and Mia can take the pleasure of making her inn feel more luxurious and welcoming for tourists and rich people without those stubborn heads around.

"I've never seen such a decorated inn. I presume that it must be quite popular around" Testarossa says.

"That's because the adventurers of Orario are in the dungeon for the moment, it won't be as peaceful in the night trust me" Akira replies to her.

While the group of new Orario citizens are discussing about this world. The gray haired maid that greeted them at the entry earlier was looking at them in a rather particular way, especially Akira.

"..." This was her first time seeing them around and she would have remembered their faces if she saw them just once.

"Maybe... A closer look... Just this time..." Syr mumbles. She takes a bidding spot behind the bar counter then stares at the group for a few seconds. She activates one of her abilities, the power to see the souls of people.

While Akira is just fooling around the table, waiting for the food to come, he gets the strange feeling of someone trying to see through him, he doesn't even look around to see who's casting this spell, "Soul perceivance...? Why not. Just don't get too shocked." He mumbles.

Akira does not possess a soul, so the caster won't see anything other than his body alone. But if anyone, no matter how powerful, were to stare at his Outerish Soul, they'd die immediately of shock and insanity breakdown.

And when Syr activated her [Discerning Eye], the plates in her hands fell to the floor and broke into a million pieces. She backs down instinctively but stumbles on her feet and falls to the ground.

All of their souls, apart from Saeko and Akira were huge purple thunderstorms that extended beyond their body. The malicious intensity of their spiritual existences made of the environment a dead place manifested with malice and uncountable body counts.

"Syr! why'd you do that??" The owner of the establishment, Mia Grand runs towards Syr to see if she's injured after she got triggered by the sound of two or three plates breaking on the floor.

Mia lifts Syr from the ground, she notices the horrified expression on Syr's face. And her mouth... Slowly transforms into a distorted smile that surprises Mia, "Syr! Did you lose your mind??" Mia asks.

But then, Syr wakes up from her fugue state and gets back on her feet with trembling sweaty legs, "O-Oh my... I'm truly s-sorry Mia-sama... I'll get back to work" Syr says as she regains her post.

"Don't force yourself too much. Tell me if you're not feeling good again" Mia says in concern. The owner calls another maid to clean up the mess. Mia also sees a few shiny liquid drops on the parquet floor, "Where did this water come from?" She wondered.

During that time, the maids serve Akira and the five girls with the most delicious meals and luxurious wine of the establishment. Milim devours all the food her mouth can contain, "Oh wanna see who's faster?!" Carrera asks Milim. The blonde haired demoness start eating food at the same rate as Milim racing with her.

Saeko was contented with just the food on her plate, not demanding anything more than that. She ate politely with elegant manners, and Ultima mimicked Saeko and her way of eating, thinking it's the most ideal.

Apart from them, Testarossa and Akira did not eat anything, just drinking small glasses of expensive wine. Normally, the owner ―Mia Grand― would take serious precautions before giving anyone that wine, but seeing the allure these people were dressed in, it was not necessary to be cautious, apart from the fact that they're new people within this town.

"Cheers" Akira and Testarossa share a toast and cheer their wine glasses. "So, Akira, what are you planning for us in this world?" Saeko asks while eating small bites of her food.

"I have a lot in mind, but we'll put the plan into motion once you all have a good rest" Akira says. After they finished up eating, Akira left a few ―Freshly created― gold coins on the table, they all left the inn afterwards.

"Hoping to see you again, mister..." Syr asked for Akira's name before he leaves the inn, "Akira" He replies to her.

"What a lovely name, we're awaiting your next arrival Akira-dono" Syr says. He then leaves the Hostess of Fertility inn with his harem, onwards to their next direction. Syr watches from the window as the silver haired boy slowly goes away.

''I'll patiently wait for your comeback Akira...'' Syr mumbles with slight blushes on her cheeks, "Your shift ended five minutes ago Syr, you can leave if you want, let me cook you something real quick" Mia says after approaching the girl.

Syr turns and faces Mia, she speaks to her, "N-No need Mia-sama. I'll go now!" Syr removes her uniform then leaves the establishment. Mia was left with a confused expression, "Just, what's going on with her?" She mumbles.

[[ Afterwards ]]

The iconic group of newcomers are walking down the streets of Orario once again, taking for destination the sky-scrapper that's situated in the center of town, "What a huuuge house!" Ultima exclaims. The tower of Babel was so tall it seemed to be piercing the sky and reaching the outer space.

"Silly Ultima that is not a house. It's called Babel" Akira replies, "It's bigger than the sky-scrappers in Japan!" Saeko remarks. "But what're we gonna do there" Carrera asks.

"I thought you would remark of all people, it's there where we'll stay during our vacation in this world. It may be a huge mall of business between gods and familias but it is also a luxurious hotel for people with big incomes"

"Ooh!" Milim levitates and start flying at the height of Babel. She flew hundreds of meters up in the air and she still wasn't able to reach the top. She flies back down and stops before destroying the ground with her momentum, "It's so big I can't see the top!" Milim says.

"I know right, anyway, let's just enter now"

When they enter on the first floor, the group is immediately greeted by multiple waiters that expected their entry, "How may we serve you today at the tower of Babel?" Asks a butler.

"How elegant~ I think i may already like this establishment so far~" Testarossa teases the man. The butler hides his embarrassment after hearing Testarossa's remark.

The goofy ahh guy really thought Testarossa was flirting. Boy she'd eat you alive if you were to try anything funny.

"I'd like to rent your best room for six people" Akira says, Milim pulls Akira's arm and this gets her his attention, "I want food. Delicious cakes and meat" She says.

Akira speaks to the maid next to him and tells her to guide Milim towards the restaurant, he gives her almost two million Valis for Milim's addition and her services. The maid is stupified by the fact this Akira just gave away almost 20'000 dollars just like that to a stranger... Well technically not a stranger but you got the idea.

"Yea! More food! Thanks Akira~" She plants a kiss on his cheeks then leaves with the maid.

When the butler sees this, with a sweat on his face, he knows that he can trust them with the luxurious suites they have, "I have exactly what you fabulous people need. It is the best apartment after Lady Freya's home on the last floor. Please accompany me" The butler says.

"Here." He opens the door to reveal an apartment that was rivaling the aesthetic of one of Akira's appartement's in the <Infinite Castle>. "I knew thought I'd put my feet inside such a place" Saeko says, just amazed at how beautiful the view of Orario from the big window is.

The business part is handled quickly by Akira and the guy who take off, both satisfied, "Make yourself at home" He tells the girls who are already exploring this apartment. The view was the best thing about it.

"So beautiful!" Ultima exclaims. She runs at Akira and hugs him with her hands enveloping him, "Thank you for all you're doing Akira~" She says with a blushing face, the purple scare-like mark on her eye glows, he hugs her back for pleasure.

"Now that we've secured a home, I'll go see some stuff at the first floor" Akira teleports away which causes Ultima to almost trip after him disappearing, she gets disappointed for a second.

On the first floor of Babel was a registry that served as last defense before going to the dungeon. Multiple custom servants with pointy ears are there speaking with adventurers that are getting ready to dungeon dive and other that just came back and are looking to exchange their loot for Valises.

"Hi, the name's Akira." Akira presents himself to an elf girl free from customers, "Hi, this is my first time seeing you around Akira-san. My name's Eina Tulle, at your service" She introduces herself.

"Pleasure... So, to dungeon dive, you need to be part of a familia right?" Akira asks her.

"Yes, it is one of the basic rules of entering the dungeon. You need to be part of an official Familia. I guess you are not part of any Familia around... Please standby as i bring you a list of Familias that are currently recruiting" Eina says, she leaves towards the archives but Akira stops her.

"That won't be necessary. Because I identity myself as a god" Akira says.

Eina stops on her tracks after hearing Akira's words, "A-A god??" She asks with a wide open mouth and surprise, she had seen a god like him around and here he was proclaiming himself as one.

Was he high or something? But his appearance was really giving off this divine vibe. And the aura surrounding him, he may not be so crazy after all.

"Y-You have to understand that we need proof for that right? Luckily, we have a special ritual that only triggers when gods are around. It is a sacred church that worships the goddess Geia" Eina says.

Akira freezes for a second when he hears Geia, the goddess he had ruthlessly erased, "Uh oh" He mumbles.
