61 Ability Values!

Chapter 61 - Ability Values!

The divine blood, carrying divine power, gradually infiltrated Luke's body through the newly engraved divine markings.

In this process, unnoticed by anyone, a trace of divine power was silently absorbed by the 'Soul Armament Seed' within Luke's soul.

While Loki is a god, she is not adept at the ability to see through souls. Perhaps, before her divine power was sealed, she could easily accomplish soul-reading tasks.

However, after arriving in 'Orario' and being restricted from using most divine powers, she could no longer peer into people's souls.

Being able to retain the ability to see through souls even under seal, currently in 'Orario,' is probably only Goddess Freya.

The 'Soul Armament Seed,' having absorbed a trace of divine power, showed no visible changes. It remained as quiet as ever within Luke's soul.

The engraving of the divine mark/Falna was quickly completed, and at the moment of completion, Luke's ability/status values manifested on his back.

Loki used parchment prepared in advance to trace Luke's ability values.

Initially, she didn't pay too much attention. After briefly scanning Luke's ability values, she intended to hand him the parchment for a look.

Generally, the ability values of new adventurers who have just become adventurers aren't worth much. All basic abilities/parameters are at 0, with no skills or magic – the status merely serves as proof of becoming an adventurer.

Adventurer ability values typically include Level, Basic Abilities, Grand Feats/Deeds, Skills, and Magic – these five categories.

The Level doesn't need much explanation.

Basic Abilities include Strength, Endurance, Dexterity, Agility, and Magic – five attributes.

(PS: The six-dimensional attributes of the MC in the Main God Space are modified based on this system.)

For Basic Abilities, the numerical range for each level is 0 to 999, represented by letters from I to S.

In other words, there are a total of 10 levels: 'I: 0–99, H: 100–199, …, S: 900–999.'

After becoming an adventurer, through training or actual combat, gained experience points increase proficiency.

The more frequent the training/exercise in a specific attribute, the more outstanding the proficiency and strengthening.

However, the basic abilities before becoming an adventurer are not included in the calculation.

Instead, they function as hidden parameters/abilities, invisible on the surface but undeniably present.

Therefore, for new adventurers who have just started out, all basic abilities are uniformly rated as I: 0, and Luke is no exception.

Generally, the upper limit for basic abilities is 999, that is, S.

The only one capable of surpassing this limit and reaching SS: 1000 and above is the protagonist from the original work.

Each time an adventurer level/rank up, their existing basic abilities are reset to zero, transforming into hidden parameters.

And leveling up requires the use of 'Grand Feats.'

Grand Feats or simply great achievements can be simplified as high-rank experience points/excelia.

Defeating strong opponents and overcoming difficulties will yield corresponding Grand Feats based on the respective difficulty.

Moreover, in team combat, Grand Feats will be proportionally distributed to the entire team.

Therefore, behaviors like teaming up, bringing low-level rookies, and leeching experience points/excelia are quite common in the dungeon.

Up to this point, Luke's ability values are no different from those of a 'New Adventurer.' Even the 'Magic' category is similarly empty.

However, just as Loki glanced at the end of the parchment, intending to hand it to Luke, she noticed something unusual in the 'Skills' category that a 'New Adventurer' could never have.

Skills:

1. Sword Talent: Possesses a profound swordsmanship heritage, able to freely wield the essence of the sword and evoke sword intent.

2. Prana/Star Power: Can harness the power of the stars, using unique Seisenjutsu and Star Swordsmanship.

Two rare skills, and it seems both are of the ultra rare category with self-contained systems.

"Could it be that this kid is really a 'Hero'?"

Loki remained calm on the surface but deeply scrutinized those two skills that were very similar to the so-called 'Heroic Heritage.'

Suddenly, she thought about the rumors surrounding Luke outside the city.

Could she have stumbled upon a treasure?

Loki felt a bit excited in her heart. Luke's appearance showed her a glimpse of a possibility truly surpassing the 'Freya Familia.'

It's worth noting that the monstrous growth speed of the main and vice-captains on Freya's side had made her feel considerable pressure in recent years.

"All right, these are your current ability values. Once again, let me welcome you to 'Loki Familia.'"

Loki handed the parchment to Luke.

Then, she called out to someone outside the door.

"Finn, come in."

The person Loki called in was a young man with short golden hair and blue eyes.

Speaking of a young man, it's a bit of a stretch because his height is less than 1.2 meters, appearing as a standard 'shota' despite his looks.

However, this 'shota' is, in fact, the leader of the entire Loki Familia, responsible for directing almost all affairs of the Loki Familia.

His height is due to his race; Finn belongs to the Pallum race. Despite his youthful appearance, Finn's real age is at least over 30.

"Loki, did you call me?"

Despite the mismatch in appearance, Finn's voice, while sounding somewhat youthful, seemed very steady, giving a trustworthy impression.

"Yeah, take Luke to get familiar with the surroundings. I'll go engrave Falna for this little girl and come find you later."

Loki, grabbing the golden-haired little loli sitting on the chair, signaled to Finn before leaving the meeting room.

Following the orders of the Familia's God, Finn, now the center of attention in the room, turned his gaze towards the only remaining individual, Luke.

At this moment, Luke was dressing up, and as Finn observed Luke's body, an understanding expression flashed in his eyes.

"Hello, you're Luke Ashburn, right? Welcome to the Loki Familia."

Finn greeted Luke after he finished dressing.

"Follow me; I'll show you around our Familia's residence, the 'Twilight Manor.'"

Luke followed Finn, leaving the meeting room.

As they walked through the corridor, Luke guessed from the direction that they were heading towards the interior of the 'Twilight Manor.'

"Let's start with some introductions."

"I'm Finn Deimne, a pallum. I'm also the current leader of Loki Familia."

On the way, Finn was the first to speak to Luke.

Luke, on the other hand, responded while observing the 'Twilight Manor.'

"I'm Luke Ashburn, a swordsman who just joined the Loki Familia. By the way, where are we going?"

From the moment they left the meeting room, Luke noticed that Finn seemed purposeful, intending to take him somewhere specific. In response to Luke's question, Finn smiled.

"Don't be nervous; it's just a slightly special location for the first introduction, as per Loki's request."
