Chapter 39

Kyros and Rebecca quickly returned with foods and drinks. The group soon ate together as they talked and laughed. Rebecca was laughing her heart out as she was having the best time in her life now that she remembers and got to spend time with her dad. The country was now also pretty peaceful now so now she can just enjoy spending the rest of time with Kyros.

As time passes and night time is approaching, the crew began to fall asleep. Now it was just Kyros, Paul, and Daz awake and enjoying the peaceful silence while drinking some liquor.

Paul told Kyros, " Kyros, what is going to be your plan now. I see that large bag in that corner. Don't tell me you are going to leave?"

Kyros looked down at Rebecca who was sleeping on his lap, " I... I plan to leave here. Since this country is fine and now in peace, I think that Rebecca would be better off staying with King Riku on Dressrosa where it is safe and peaceful."

Paul: " Don't you think Rebecca would be sad if you just left like that?"

Kyros: " Even if she still feels that way, she would soon forget about me if I leave and she will live and stay as one of the princesses of the Royal Family."

Paul: " Kyros... I don't want to intervene on your family matter but I advise you to not take this pathway. Rebecca is still only 14 years old. Won't she feel as though you have abandoned her? Kyros... we all have our sins that we made, however, don't let it take anything else away from you."

Kyros: " I... I understand what you are talking about Paul."

It was during this time that they heard a knock on the door.

Just when Kyros was about to go grab the door, Paul stood up and said, " Allow me, they might be hear for me."

Kyros sat down as Paul walked to the door and opened it. Paul recognized the person but did not know why he was here. Daz also saw who it was and recognized the person as the person that helped blocked the Vice-admirals when he was trying to group up with Sera and the others.

Paul: " Come in, come in. Tell me why you are here?"

Paul invited the mysterious man even though it wasn't his house. Since the person doesn't have any ill intentions then Paul thought that it was fine either way. As Paul sat down, he other person also sat down not far from the door. Then Paul heard mumbling sounds coming from the person.

Paul was slightly confused and tilted his head as he said, " Umm, I can't hear you."

Seeing his mistake, the man raised his hand to his beak like mask and pressed the dial on the side of his mask, " Oh sorry about that. However, as I had said before, my name is Karasu. I am a captain from the Revolutionary Army. I came to this country for two reasons. To investigate and exploit the doings of Doflamingo and to talk to you. Our Revolutionary army leader has heard of you before and what you did on Sabaody. Our leader was wondering for what reasons why you have become a Pirate and if you were willing to join us. We have seen for your previous exploits that since you have been out on the sea, you have not harmed or exploited any citizens of any countries at all. In fact, you have even taken out several pirates that have been secretly exploiting countries and undermining the Navy's authority/ power."

Paul nodded his head as he listened to Karasu and his offer of joining the Revolutionary Army. " Indeed I do not harm any citizens of any countries nor have I will in the future. I chose to be a Pirate simply because this life gives me more freedom and ability to move around as I please. If I had joined the Navy then if I am not strong and do not hold enough authorities, then I would not be able to touch the Shichibukai like I can right now. I would also have to listen to the higher ups when told to do and I would rather not be a slave to the World Government. I decline your invitation into joining the Revolutionary Army. My goal is to not overthrowing the World Government. My Goal is to become the strongest in this world. Therefore, my place is also not in the revolutionary army but as a pirate where I am free to do what I want. Does that answer your question?"

Karasu was silent for a moment and then nodded his head, " I understand. When I entered the country I had recorded nearly everything that I saw, including your fight. I had already released the video so that the world know what had happened here. The World Government must not cover up this incident."

Paul nodded his head. Looks like the morning will be quite chaotic for him. Since the navy haven't arrived at their doorstep yet, then that means that Vice-Admiral Tsuru must have changed her priorities on Doflamingo's crew instead of his. However, they will probably come after him in the morning.

Karasu: " Since I have already spoken and done what I had came here to do, I will be leaving now."

Paul: " Take care. I hope to meet your leader later in due time."

Karasu nodded his head and continued on his way out.

Daz: " Paul the main reason why this fight has worked out really well was because of their help."

Paul: " I see, then I will have to thank him next time."

Then the two continued sipping on their drink as night time came and passed as the two eventually fell asleep.

The next morning, everyone woke up from their deep sleep. After getting up and getting their self together,

Paul and Kyros were shaking hands as this may perhaps be their last good bye.

Kyros: " Good bye Paul and everyone, I can't thank you guys enough for helping us take down Doflamingo and his family."

Paul: " No need for that, Kyros, we should thank you guys for the help as well."

Sera: " Yes, without you guys and your long-term scouting of the Doflamingo family, then we couldn't have done it as well with just us five."

Robin: " Rebecca, make sure you spend your days happy by Kyros' side."

Rebecca smiled as she nodded, " Hm"

Daz: " Good luck you two."

Paul: " Good Bye."

Paul and the others soon left. Before leaving, Paul had taken a double check on the corner of the house and saw that the large bag was no longer all packed up. It seems like Kyros has chosen to stay after all.

Paul: " Come on let's hurry."

They nodded as they started heading back to their ship at a quicker pace. Soon they arrived at their ship and could already see the Kung-Fu Dugongs standing at the edge of the boat guarding against the navy who surrounded it.

Momonga grew frustrated the more he watched : " Can you guys not even beat against mere Kung-Fu Dugongs!!!"

Grunt: " These Kung-Fu Dugongs are outrageously strong vice-admiral Momonga."

Momonga: " 'tch' Move! Let me see this so called strength."

Momonga dashed and appeared before one of the Kung-Fu Dugongs. Just as he appeared before one, all of them immediately surrounded him.

Momonga: " 'tch' "

Momonga immediately stopped his movements and leaped back to his original spot. The teamwork of the Kung-Fu Dugongs were amazing. If he had chosen to continue his attack on the one dugong, then he would've been attacked by the another 9. From what he can tell, there were only a few of them that had managed to barely manifest armament haki. Momonga may have to try a little harder if he wants to defeat the several dugongs and capture the ship.

'clap' 'clap' Paul: " Wow vice-admiral Momonga such strength haha."

Momonga: " 'tch' So you've already arrived huh. Well our plans doesn't change. We will be capture you here now."

Paul tilted his head and looked at Momonga with a questioning look. " With just you? Are the vice-admirals lacking in brains nowadays? Did you not see me totally own Doflamingo and kill him? Do you want to die to Momonga~."

Momonga: "..."

Tsuru: " That's enough vice-admiral Momonga don't fight him. You are not his match."

Paul looked at Vice-Admiral Tsuru and smiled, " Tsuru-chan have you come to send me off? After all I did give you guys a huge favor. I can't believe you guys were trying to interfere with us in the first place."

Tsuru narrowed her eyes as she said, " Don't get cheeky with me little brat. Help us? Do you not see the destroyed buildings and the several injured civilians that is on this country right now?"

Paul laughed as he heard her, " Who's fault was that. Not mine. I'm sure you felt the sadness and anger from the people towards Doflamingo. It's the World Government's fault for establishing the Shichibukai system. If I wasn't there at Arabasta, that country would've been like this one right now."

Sera: " Damn right. How much more will you take from the innocence."

Paul: " Anyways, if we aren't going to fight then we'll be leaving now."

Tsuru: " Wait, Paul. Why did you have to kill him? I'm sure you could've done held back some strength to just disable him."

Paul looked at Tsuru with a question face, " Did you not see what he has done to this country? If I let him go then what if he escapes. You do know who was backing him right? If I kill him then that will send his backers to me. You guys can just deal with helping this kingdom. That's the least you can do. Without an Admiral here, with just you, you won't be able to stop us Tsuru. Oh right I spoke to someone last night. He told me something interesting that I fear may put you guys at a disadvantage for awhile."

After saying this, Paul leaped up and landed onto his ship with everyone else following after.

Paul: " Good bye then."

The group sailed off while the Navy just stared at them.

Gion: " Vice-admiral Tsuru, are we going to just let them go like that?"

Tsuru: " We can't but... what else can we do. Do you want to die? His crew is pretty strong even though it's small. Anyways, let's send in the report and begin to help the this country get back on it's feet."
