Chapter 2 Leaving the Island and entering the Ilusia Kingdom

One year passed quickly by

On a small island, you could see a tall man with clear white skin and handsome feature drenched in sweat running back and forth on the island with large tree trunks tied to his back. While running back and forth there were several traps that were sprung in which the teenage man was running through and dodging. This Person was of course our mc Paul.

During his training for the past year, he has been pushing himself trying to get strong and learning more about his devil fruit. He has got the hang of flying and manipulating the ground to a certain extent. When it comes to lightning he was not able to just summon it out of the skies but he was able to produce lightning from his body and circle it around his body. ( Think of it like how Aang from avatar was able to manipulate the elements around his body in his avatar state). He was able to summon dragon scales onto his body and transform some parts of his body but still had trouble transforming into a full dragon. For physical exercise he first started with regular pushups, setups, squats, and 10km runs around the island. As he was getting stronger and stronger, he starting hitting down small trees and using them for various activities. He hunted small animals and aquatic animals from the sea for food.

"Alright, around this time Ace should be starting to set out to sea too. It's about time to head out start my journey. Karen which direction is the Ilusia Kingdom"

" You just need to head west for about 100km, along the way there will be small islands where you can rest at" replied Karen.

Leaping into the air, Paul flew at a very fast speed as he made his way. About 30 minutes in, he was starting to get a little tired and then he saw a pirate ship down below sailing across the ocean seeing the pirate flag he assumed and not recognizing it, he assumed that it was just an insignificant pirate crew and had little strength. Seeing his chance to see how his strength fairs against ordinary pirates, he flew down.

'Boom' Superhero landing onto the ship, the pirate crew looked at the sudden intruder on their boat. There were about 6 other pirates on the ship.

Paul: " Hello, can I take a ride on your boat for a second"

pirate grunt: "wtf who are you"

Paul: " Just a passerby, who's your captain, tell him to take me to Ilusia Kingdom"

pirate grunt 2: " Wtf, you better get off our ship or we will kill you" said .

Hooman: " I am their captain. Captain Hooman 17 million beli"

Paul: "Interesting, about the same as the Krieg pirates in east blue and he doesn't even have a large fleet of pirates."

Paul: " So how about it, you wanna take me to to Ilusia Kingdom not far from here"

He saw both that Hooman had two cutlass swords on his right side and a small old fashion pistol on the left.

Hooman: " How about you die instead"

Paul: " haha ok, lets fight then"

As Paul said this, the other 5 pirates on the ship rushed towards him with their sword.

'ding'

"sudden quest: defeat the Hooman pirate crew"

" haha perfect come at me" said Paul as he dodge to the side.

The 5 pirates came at him swinging their swords, Paul dodged to one side as one sword came and kicked him before another came thrusting towards his back. Quickly transforming his hands into his dragon claw, and grabbed that sword before it pierced him and crushed that sword into pieces before thrusting his other hand and pierced it through the pirate that tried to stab him, killing him in one blow.

Paul: " 4 more to go"

Seeing their crewmate die they rushed at Paul with even more frantic action trying to kill him. Seeing their action, Paul smiled and find it too easy with observation haki as he could already tell their moves before it arrived at him. Rushing past all four, the next instant the four collapsed on the floor with a hole in their chest. 'bang' Paul tilted his head to the side as it dodged the bullet.

Hooman: "Pretty strong aren't you, what's your name"

Paul: " Paul, Brantley D. Paul and I'm stronger than you at least"

Hooman: "hehe, we'll see"

He rushed forwards with his two swords in hand. Jumping up from his location, Hooman swung down both swords trying to slice Paul in half. Seeing the attack, Paul stepped back a bit and punched forward as Hooman landed. 'cling' a clashing sound was heard as both dragon hand and swords clashed. This clash resulted in Hooman being sent flying towards the back of his boat.

Without wasting time, Paul summoned lighting that he could control so far and had it circled around his fist and legs. 'boom' he took off with even greater speed. As soon as Hooman recovered from being sent flying, he saw Paul coming at him with a fast speed, facing this, the only thing that he could do was put up his guard again and block the strike. As Paul's hand came down, he formed his palm into a piercing form and stabbed forward 'katching' it was only for a brief moment for the hand and swords to clash but the swords instantly broke allowing his hand to continue through, striking Hooman's heart.

'phew' Paul sighed as he used quite a bit of energy fighting the 5 pirates. Pulling out his had from Hooman's chest, he started thinking about how strong he currently is. Although it took quite a bit of time to kill the 6 as he thought, he reflected on his ability. If he was a bit faster, he wouldn't have given Hooman the chance to shoot at him or there was even that strike that came towards his back. He needed a bit more speed.

Seeing his new stats and SP, Paul could only smile. However, he found that the quest things and how to get those free stats and SP a little unpredictable. He didn't quite understand and never asked Karen how to get SP.

Paul: " Karen, what was that sudden quest all about, and how can I get more SP"

Karen: " For sudden quest, those are given to you when you encounter a situation that could be strengthen you even further like at that moment. When it comes to some of your encounters, I will help you by giving you quests such as these to increase your strength. To get SP those are given for every quest you get and you can also trade any items you find during your journey" replied Karen.

Paul: "hmm ok good to know."

Acknowledging this information Paul knew what to expect now. He then opened the store in the system and went directly to one piece skills.

Looking at the skills, Paul thought of what he wanted, at the moment he had no idea how to navigate the sea and boat so he needed the navigation skill and he wants the Busoshoku haki early on so he can train it to be strong for when he encounter anyone else with haki or logia fruit, he wouldn't struggle so much.

As he bought his skills, he felt the vast information once again flooding his brain. He also felt a weird sensation and energy flow through his body. For the information he received, he learned about how to control the ship and everything to worry about if a ship gets damaged. He also learned the signs to watch for on the sea in case of storms or any abnormal occurrences.

Armament Haki- Gives the user the ability to his energy to from armor around their body or weapon. Advanced level Armament Haki gives the user the ability to pierce through the body and injure the insides of the body.

Like when he unlocked the observation skill there was also information on how to improve that particular haki.

Focusing on this skill, he felt the energy in his flow outwards and then imagined armor plating around his fist. In the beginning he saw just a wave of energy flowing and then it slowly changed into dark black color which finally formed. He felt the power that flowed into that arm and was pleasantly surprised by the increase in power. Encountering similar level opponents he now was confident no matter the devil fruit.

After going through his skills, he searched the boat for anything useful but just found the basic necessities for life on the ocean. Looking at the map he headed west towards Ilia Kingdom to see if he can pick up any clues on Nico Robin. Although with the store he can learn how to read the poneglyphs himself now, he don't want to do everything for himself, that's just too boring.

Directing the boat toward Ilia Kingdom, he started to think about what else he needs from the store. He might unlock the Naruto skills after learning some more skills from the one piece ones. 'hehe' Paul can only get more excited and just wanted to fight whoever came across him so he can get more SP. After a few hours of sailing he finally reached the Ilusia Kingdom.

Docking his ship, he immediately saw the city. It was buzzing with energy, wanting to try this world's cuisine, he went to a restaurant.

Waitress: " Sir, what would like eat today"

Paul: " Give me your restaurant's best dish"

Waitress: " Yes sir, it will be up shortly"

Sitting at the table, Paul closed his eyes and slowly immersed himself with the atmosphere. The busy crowd outside walking along the streets, people in the restaurants chatting and eating with one another... everyone else living their lives and not just background drawings and animations. If he so much as kills anyone of these innocent bystanders, it will be taking a life and the marines would have every right to label him as a criminal. Killing pirates would be fine because they kill and plunder islands, it is rare for pirates like luffy's to exist.

Waitress: " hello sir, your order is ready"

Looking at the food set in front of him, it was shrimp fried rice.

Paul: "Hmm? Well, let's just see how it taste"

After the first bite, he felt the richness of ingredients. Compared to the food in his previous life, those fried rice taste bland. As he was about to take another bite... 'boooomm' a man came flying through and crashed into his table ruining his food. He looked at the man that crashed, he seemed like a pirate but he did not know who he was, but he noticed that he was covered in cuts from what seemed to be like swords or something sharp. He looked at the direction from where the body came flying from and was surprised at who he saw.

Paul: " Daz Bonez?"
