Chapter 10 Lucky

Paul, Daz, and Sera began to look around sky island. They browsed through the shops and interacted with the locals.

Paul: " Daz, go find out more about potential threats."

Daz nodded and headed off. Now... he got some time alone with Sera. Sera was a strong headed woman as she was once a knight captain of a kingdom. Other than that, she was a kind and gentle person to the people she cared about. However, she has not yet shown that side to him yet. As just a side character and had her own individual story, not related to the main storyline at all, he knew that he changed her story quite a bit. By now, she would've been with some of her knights with her own pirate crew, protecting civilians from being harmed by their own country or by the world government.

Paul: " Sera, although you are needed in my pirate crew, I hope you feel like I am restricting you from doing whatever you want. Tell me what you feel like doing and then we can take a detour on our journey."

Sera went silent before thinking. She gritted her teeth as her eyes became slightly watery.

Sera: " I have always regretted not being there to protect the young lord of my kingdom. With the Shichibukai interference, I have been training non-stop so I can face him and defeat him next time I face him. I also want to look for my remaining knights that were forced to run at the time."

Paul: " Bartholomew Kuma, currently a Shichibukai, but before that did you know that he was a former king of Sorbet kingdom, the world government doesn't yet know that he was an officer of the revolution army. He had a bounty of 296,000,000 beli. Defeating him is not an easy with his Nikyu Nikyu no mi fruit. Did he say anything before he sent you flying?"

Sera was surprised at the information provided by Paul.

Sera: " How could it be? Why would he do that, why would he send me away. Before he sent me away, he asked, " If you were to go on a trip... where would like to go.""

Paul: " hmm. did you answer him?"

Sera looked straight at Paul with determination in her eyes.

Sera: " I told him, I would rather die here. Then he sent me flying.""

Paul: " Things could only be hidden for a while. Sooner or later the world government would find out about his connection to the Revolution army. He will have to make a hard choice in the future."

Paul then looked at Sera with a determined and 'caring' look.

Paul: " If we encounter Bartholomew Kuma in the future, I will let you deal with him."

Sera: " Then I will thank you in advance."

Paul: " It is fine. But, you will need to grow a little stronger if you want to have a chance against him."

Sera: " I know."

One step at time Paul, one step a time. Paul thought to himself.

A day later, Robin came back with information that he was looking for.

Robin: " I have heard of a man name Enel in Birka that has obtained the goro goro no mi fruit. However, I am not too sure if he has taken it yet."

Paul: " Then let's go before its too late."

The three quickly rushed to Birka where Enel should be located.

In Birka...

Enel: " Yahahahaha. With this power I would become GOD. Yahahaha!!"

As Enel was just about to take a bite. 'boom' not far from his something slammed into the ground near him.

Enel: " who's there."

Paul: " 'phew' I made it just in time."

Paul was afraid he might've been a little late so he rushed towards Enel's location at his fastest speed. He saw the devil fruit in Enel's hand and Enel's opened mouth.

Paul: " Hey... I like your devil fruit.. give it here."

Enel thought to himself: " wtf... is he crazy."

Enel: " Yahaha. You will be my first kill after I consume this power. I would be GOD of this land..."

Paul smiled and dashed forwards and snatched the fruit before Enel could finish his words and eat the fruit. Villain rules 101, tell your victim your plan before killing them.

Seeing the fruit in Paul's hand

Enel: " GIVE THAT BACK"

Enel ran desperately at Paul for snatching the devil right in front him. 'bang' Paul sent him flying with a kick.

Paul: " Unfortunately, you don't have the strength to fight against me yet alone take this fruit back. However, if you joined my pirate crew, then you could have it back."

Enel: " Pirate crew? IMPOSSIBLE, I AM GOD."

Still seeing the narcissistic person. Paul was debating whether or not he should kill the person before him. Maybe Enel can give him a bigger surprise in the future.

Paul: " Enel... I will hold on to this devil fruit for awhile. But who knows when I find someone suitable for this power. Challenge me again when you have the strength hahaha."

Paul gave one last look at Enel and left. Seeing the back of Paul, Enel gritted his teeth and slammed the ground with his fists.

Enel: " I will payback this humiliation."

Paul soon arrived back at the ship.

Sera: " Did you get everything you wanted."

Paul: " Yes, although I didn't kill him so we might be seeing him in the near future."

Paul smiled,

Paul: " How's the training with the dugongs."

Sera: " Hmm, it's going well. They are about at the level of the elite marines. "

Phim: " Okay, we are getting closer and closer to marine headquarters, lets prepare for a bit before head back down."

Two months quickly went by as the four trained and prepared themselves. During this time, Daz had came to Paul about how he should achieve the next step into increasing his strength. He had thought of the how to advance his level of sharpness.

Paul: " Daz, do you know what the differences between you and real swordsman."

Daz: " No."

Paul: " The main difference Daz, is their control. Real Swordsman's sword will follow their will. While, you Daz, you used to be a assassin. Swordsmanship never crossed you mind even if you yourself can be a sword. Sure you can swing you arms as hard as you can but that will never truly achieve anything real. When it comes to swordsmanship, it is called hearing the breath or rhythm of the things around you. That is your next step to getting stronger."

Daz: " I understand."

The last two months Daz has been trying to sense the rhythm of the life around him, but was struggling. Sera was working on summoning more wings that boosts her physical capability. Robin was working on summoning as many hands or body parts as she can so that she can create stronger moves and attacks. Paul was now able to fuse some of the dragons

Paul: " Alright let's head out."
