I was restless, through out the week. I just couldn't believe what I was being asked to do by someone who suppose to be not just a lecturer, but a father to all.
Faith visited my apartment, one of the school days. She had noticed I haven't been my self, this past few days and dropped by to know what was up with me.

"Hey girl!" Faith said excitedly and sat next to me, who was lying on the couch.
I raised my hand to say, for I couldn't say a word.
"What's up with you? You don't look good." I sighed and lazingly and sat up.
"Faith... My condition right now, is as bad as being in the middle of the devil and the deep blue sea." I said sadly and went to the fridge, then poured her some orange juice.
"What's wrong?" She asked and collected the glass from my hand. We both sat again on the couch.
"You know I failed Mr Gbanjo's test right?"
"Yeah..."
"I went to his office on Monday and I showed him my test, pleading with him if he could help me. You know how every tests and exams are way important at this level?" She nodded.
"Yes I do. In fact, I narrowly escaped failing this one."
"So... Being the devil that he is, he suggested one thing and that's the only way he can help me."
"What could that be?"
"He requested shay as the only way he could help me." I looked away and struggled to fight tears. Faith dropped her juice on a side table.
"What! How dare he? Not even money but sex? My God! What are we going to do now?"
"Faith, I... I don't really know. But I am thinking of one thing."
"And what's that?"
"Faith, your dad was an ex minister. Surely, he should be able to do something right?" She thought for a moment. Then remembering something, she shook her head.
"Florence... Look I don't know. When I came into this school, George briefed me a little about it. He told me that was trending here on campus. Once a lecturer ask you as a lady for shay, you got to give him. You dare not go ahead to bribe him or involve an outsider like my father."
"Really?" Tears flowed freely from my eyes now. She hugged me.
"So I should do it?" I asked, after we disengaged.
"I am afraid to say yes, but that seems to be the only way out now. Sorry babe. When does he wanna enjoy his little fun?"
"Three days from now. Saturday. I'm nervous. I cant believe I will soon loose my virginity to an old man." I lied. Despite my closeness with Faith, I still kept my past to myself. No one on campus knew I was an Orphan, and all other stuffs I went through before finally making it here in the University.
I placed my head on Faith's shoulder, as we held hands and went silent.

Two days later, after lectures in the afternoon. I put my books into my bag, and stood up to leave.
"Girl!" Faith said in smiles.
"Hi". I simply said and hugged her.
" Where are you going? " She asked.
"Home?"
"Come on... You gotta get yourself off this stress. Come on, let me take you out." I gave a puzzled look.
"You seem not to understand what will soon be happening to me."
"Hey I know. But will you kill yourself? Come on, take a break. I'm not saying what will soon happen to you is a good thing anyway."
"Then don't tell me to take a break." I said and tried to leave.
"Girl please! Come on..." I reluctantly accepted.
"Alright! So you won't bite me." George arrived in his SUV, and we hoped in. I sat at the back, while Faith joined her bf in the front.
They kissed. I went through my phone, to kind off get myself of worries.

We arrived Mundala bar. A popular bar in that area, where wine and Alcoholic drinks are sold.
"Here we are!" Faith said as we all came down. We walked into the bar and took our seats. A waiter came by.
"Ladies make your order..." George said.
"We will have chilled champaign." Faith said. I didn't respond to that as I only came for her sake and get over it.
"And I will take white wine. Make mine two glasses." The waiter bowed and left to get the orders.
"Two glasses?" Faith asked.
"Yeah. Sorry love, I didn't tell you. Someone else will be joining us." Just then, George's friend arrived.
"Hey man!" He stood up and slapped hands with him.
"What's up?" He said and sat down.
"Am good."
"Hey Dubem! Didn't know you would be joining us?" Faith said.
"Yeah. When I discovered that my love will be bringing her bestie for this outing, well I decided to bring my own buddy. Isn't that fair?" They laughed but I didn't. In fact I just couldn't think straight, with a lot of stuffs running through my mind.
"Okay. So... who is this beauty, sitting right here?" Dubem asked in a warm smile.
"Oh yeah. Dubem, meet my bestie, Florence. Florence, meet Chidubem."
"Or Dubem for short, which I do prefer you call me." I simply nodded. Faith nudged me to say something but I ignored her.
The waiter brought our orders and placed it before us. They were uncorked, and poured into our glasses. He then bowed and left. They began drinking and chatting in laughter. I slowly took my drink and nodded when necessary.
Some minutes later, I just felt really tensed and had to leave.
"Um... Excuse me guys. I... I really have to go now." I said and picked up my bag.
"So soon?" Faith asked.
"Yeah. Talk to you later, bye." I walked out. Shortly after, Dubem came after me.
"Hi, Florence..." He said and I turned.
"I'm sorry to bother you dear. Please may I have your number?" I folded my hands across my chest.
"Mr man, I am not interested in any friendship you wanna build. So therefore, You won't be needing my number." I said and turned to leave.
"I do... Something is not right with you. I mean no harm, I'm just concerned."
"I don't need any one's concern! Leave me alone!" I said with my back facing him. He came and stood, facing me.
"I may be of help. What's wrong?" He said, noticing my teary eyes. I was silent. I then reluctantly spoke.
"You're right. I'm not okay and I really don't wanna talk about it. Please I just have to go now."
"Alright. But please, I just wanna have your number." He stretched forth his phone and I imputed it.
"Thank you. Please take care."
"Alright."
