Angelus Occulus Meis

An angel and a demon; two races that are never to be mixed. But when Bellona Aguilera,a seraphim from the Elysium and Jax Escobar, a demon prince from the depths of Erebos find out they have something in common, the order of things is turned upside down. The harmony of the veils that joins all three realms (Elysium,Erebos and Earth) is shattered and it's up to the two of them to fix it. Well, not if the royalty of the Erebos have anything to say about it. They plan to use this to their advantage and take over all the realms. Not to fear though, Bellona discovers a new power of hers, one that has never been heard of before, one that can save eveything or ruin it all. Will Bellona and Jax be able to get over their differences? Will they be able to save the veils? Will Jax be brave enough to denounce his family for the greater good? Will Bellona learn to control her new power? Find out all these and more in "Angelus Occulus Meis" Epilogue: I woke up to a large conch horn being played. My warm bed didn't seem so warm anymore. The conch horn was played long and hard and I knew exactly what this meant. There was an intruder in the Elysium. I didn't know how they got in but they definitely needed to get out. Meet the Characters! A. Bellona Aguilera Hi, I'm Bellona. A fiery red head with a sharp mouth and an even sharper temper. I'm a descendant of Saint Francis of Assisi. Who is my too many greats grand father. Being an angel isn't easy. After spending majority of my childhood in Purgatory (Yes, angels went to purgatory too if they were really bad, kind of like being grounded or detention. I did say I had a temper), it seemed like heaven to me. (No pun intended.) I'm a Seraphim. That's like the singing and law enforcement type angel. I also sometimes do guardian angel stuff when I'm asked to. I get asked because I'm the only dual-role angel in the Elysium. I'm both a seraphim and a guardian but I do mainly seraphim stuff. B. Jax Escobar Sup, I'm Jax, hier to the throne of Erebos. I look Hispanic but I'm not. Ha! Take that Bellona. (Ref. Chapter one)My old Papi's Jack, the Grim reaper, Son of Asmodeus who everyone knows is the only son of the big dude himself, Hades. My darling mum's Karma. So to y'all who call her a bitch, you're dead. Literally. She's actually the cutest, sweetest thing you'd find in the lowest depths of Erebos. Which I'll admit doesn't really sound like a compliment since Erebos is home to wimps, demons and all sorts of freaky looking monsters. My best friend is an in insufferable imp called Liam. And he's Hispanic.

Third Person's POV

Bellona walked into the chief warden's office with a huge smile.

"Hey.", she said in a sing-song voice. "Bellona,What do you want?", he replied in a tired voice as a single grey strand of hair fell across his forehead.

"Jeez, can't a girl come to see her favorite uncle?" "I'm your only uncle,Bellona."

"Ok, so I need a favour. When you think anout it...it's not even a favour at all. It's more like..."

"What do you want, Bellona?", he said slightly cross, cutting me off.

"I need your authorisation to release a prisoner." "Absolutely not! Where did this come from Bellona. You know I cannot do such a thing. How could you even consider it?"

"I know it seems absurd, Chief but trust me. Would I intentionally put the whole of Elysium in danger?", she asks him.

"No. Who is it?" "The prisoner in the first holding cell, the demon prince."

"Of all them! Why him?"

"He says that his mission is peaceful. He says that the demons are planning something bad and he needs our help to stop them.", I finished.

"A demon turning agaonst his own? A prince nonetheless. That's impossible! Absurd! And you believe him!

"Yes, I do. He's proven to be nothing but trustworthy so far, albeit annoying ", she said with a pleading look.

"Bellona, are you sure you want to do this.", he asked her with a very serious look.

"Positive." she said in reply. "OK. But only because it's you."

She walked over to his side of the desk and gave him a huge hug. "Thanks so much Uncle. I promise it's for a good reason."

"I hope so.", he says as she exits his office with a slight spring in her step.

Bellona then went over to the main office to fill out the forms for Jax's release. By the time she was done it was sundown.and so after the 6pm Gloria she went to see Jax.

"Hey, babe. So what did the oldies say... Can I go?", he said with a lazy smirk as he rested comfortably on his cell's bed.

"First off, don't call me that. Secondly, yes you're free to go. And in accordance with the rules you've got to leave here by sunrise tomorrow."

"But we have to inform the angels of what my grandfather's planning." "I know. I'll do that. But where will you go? I'm pretty sure the demons would allow you to stay with them."

"Don't worry about me, Princess. I'm going to live in my condo on earth. It's a pretty chill place."

"OK then.",Bellona said as she began to back away."Wait up, princess. I think you forgot to do something". Jax said indicating to his shackles.

"Right. Sorry, I almost forgot.", she said. "It's fine.", he said.

A deep silence enveloped the two of them as they stared at each other.

Bellona cleared her throat and said, "Well it's getting late. You probably need a place to sleep." "No, I don't. I'm staying at your place tonight."

"No,you're not." "Wow, you really want to get rid of me.", he said with a laugh. "No worries Bellona. I'll just leave for my condo right now. But first...", Jax removed a rectangular object from his pocket.

"What's that?", Bellona asked. "It's a cell phone.", he replied. "It's how we're going to communicate whilst I'm on earth"

He then showed Bellona how to call, text and take pictures with the phone and even how to use social media.

"Wow, the things these humans come up with". Bellona said with a chuckle after her extensive but brief course in all things technology.

"Yeah, It's amazing. Anyways I have to go. Call me when you get any updates.", he said.

"Sure", Bellona replied.

"See you on the flip side, Bellona.", he said as he slipped through the veil.

Bellona then made her way to her room for some much deserved rest.
