Angeli Caeci

- Written by Rowben. A life gives off many feelings. They give off warmth, a presence sensed. When a life is lost, these feelings go away. Within a subway, just arriving at it's stop, rested one without these feelings. They were cold, as it felt as if they weren't even there, but regardless, a life still remained. Upsat the being, a confused expression on their face, as they look towards their surroundings. It's dark, the lights broken as all that can be heard is the feint dripping of distant water. They stood theirself up, but something was off to them, they couldn't feel their palms pressed against the floor to push themselves up, they couldn't feel the warmth, nor coldness of their own body, they felt nothing. “Forgive”

Morell turned around quickly, a man stood behind her, as he tipped his fedora to her, Morell backing away qhickly as her hand rested upon her knife.

"I am Evan Timberly, a scientist down here in this dungeon. You must be Morell.."

He lent his hand out towards Morell, though she slapped it away in response, unholstering her knife as she pointed the tip to his neck.

"If you're a scientist then you're the cause of all the suffering here.."

Evan looked back in shock, raising his hands, before giving off a cocky smirk, leaning away from the knife.

"Hah, guilty. You see, Morell… To achieve science you must sacrifice a few lives, and it's always been that way, I'm afraid. Might I remind you nazis torturing is how scientists have learned many things."

This only upsetted Morell more, the grip on her knife tightening, her glare felt strongly upon Evan, as he laughed it off.

"How do you know my name..?"

"I know much more then just your name, Morell."

He began pacing around her, his hands behind his back as Morell turned with him. He stopped in front of the crucifix, raising his hands to the side.

"I know your origin.. your powers.. as I made you."

Morell's eyes widenee, before she gripped Evan by his collar, lifting him up in the air.

"And why should I believe you..? I've met people like you before.."

She tossed him into a wall, as he laid back against it in pain, her knife then flying to him, knocking the hat off his head.

"Alright, don't believe me then. The exit is that way, but.. you won't like what you'll see…"

He pointed over to a door, Morell taking back her knife as she stomped off angrily, exiting the room, a staircase ahead of her in which she'd walk up.

She made it to the top, upon a sort of balcony as she looked over the railing, her eyes widening in shock.

Down below stood a large landfill, entirely filled with ruined dolls, their ways of destructionnall varying, as a small layer of a black liquid rested around them.

A dumbtruck arrived, the driver exiting the vehicle as they took out a burnt doll, Morell squinting as it looked wuite familiar, her body going stiff as she realized who it was.

The driver threw the doll into the pile of all the others, Morell jumping down from the balcony, landing in all the folld, as she travelled her way through them.

She made her way to the doll she recognized, the doll was burnt, wearing a ruined maid dress, as blades stuck out of their joints.

"You're.. Faust's maid..? You're name was.. Kafka, yes…"

She lifted the doll, Kafka up, dusting off all the ashes, Morell pricking holes in her two fingers, letting her black blood drip into Kafka's empty eyes.

After a moment of silence, feint dots of blue could be seen in Kafka's eyes, as she looked up at Morell, though her body stayed still.

"Oh, Morell.. You've survived… I'm sorry, don't forgive me but I am.."

Morell glared down at Kafka, her past events rushing to her, the mansion where she met Kafka, her assistance towards Faust, and what she's done to Morell's friend..

"I've been blinded by lust, Morell.. I didn't know any better, Faust is all I had.. I wouldn't blame you if you destroyed me right here, I don't deserve a second chance.."

Morell frowned, sitting down, as she stood Kafka's body up in front of her, Kafka's joints destroyed and her legs fully missing, she was in no shape to do anything.

"I understand.. I'm not saying I'm forgiving you, but I will let you live.. But I swear if you backstab me, I'll show you a fate worse then death."

She stared into Kafka's eyes, menacing intent felt as Morell's presence felt like the devil watching down. Kafka looked up, attempting to hide her fear as she frantically nodded her head.

"Good.. Then I'll get you out of here.."

She lifted Kafka back up, climbing the ladder out from the dump, looking around from the top as ran over to a fence, hopping over it.

It appears the exit was a factory, perhaps where these dolls we're being made.. Where Morell was made…

"So.. What happened to Faust..? Surely you killed him, hm..?"

Morell nodded, she didn't feel much like talling to Kafka, or talking in general, her intent wasn't to associate with Kafka.

"Ah, I see.. That's good… and where is your other friend, the white haired one..?"

She glanced to Kafka with a bumbed out face, flicking her in the forehead as she walked through the streets.

"Quit trying to talk to me, Reece is fine I just got separated from her.. Now be quiet."

Kafka puffed her cheeks up, making a 'hmph..!' sound to Morell's coldness towards her, though she could completely understand why, shutting up as told.

Morell made it to a mechanics store, sitting Kafka down on the counter as she began getting materials and tools, as well as a chair.

She began fixing Kafka's arm joints, yanking out the blades, repairing the joints and fixing their connections, then going to to the chair, which had wheels on the bottom.

She put rods and other things together, to give Kafka a sort of way to move the chair on her own, placing Kafka on the chair once she was done.

"There.. Now I have to go, don't bother following me…"

Kafka moved her arms around, examining them, they felt much smoother to move, Morell's joints different from Kafka's, therefor she had fixed Kafka's joints differently then they'd naturally would.

Kafka smiled. Originally built as a weapon, she felt very stiff in her motions, merely made to function weapons, though now she was built to merely live.

She continueding moving her arms around, stretching and testing her flexibility, before waving goodbye to Morell.

"Thank you, Morell.. You've enlightened me…"

Kafka is very hot.
