Chapter 2

Okay, this isn't exactly how I imagined myself going, the specter floats around me and examines my wings, I scream at the flames and lightning on my hands and the back of my wings.

"Hmm, this isn't supposed to happen"

My eyes are the size of peaches "What?!"

"You're supposed to have only one element on you but here's fire"

"Last time I checked, lightning's not an element and I've got dying to go back to"

I flinch when the paper in his hand disappears and he's walking around like something's wrong, I'm the one supposed to be panicking.

"Nevermind, you're an angel now, literally"

"I ain't pure enough for this shit"

His white eyes turn larger and he's drawing an X in the middle of the spotlight.

"You were supposed to die here" He taps and I roll my eyes and start walking, the people are back and time's moving again, a woman talking on the cellphone just walks right through me.

"This what it feels like? In the movies?"

I smirk turning to him, he's scrutinizing me and shaking his head, I frown at the toga that covers me and holds it up and the guy covers his eyes

"Whoa, put those sheets down"

"Not my style" I retorted dropping the end of the toga.

"I'm gonna need you to come with me, we've got business to attend to"

"Who the hell are you and why should I do that?"

"You ask too many questions. Anyway I'm Rafe"

I cover my eyes laughing with tears rolling out.

"Don't tell me, Raphael?"

"No, just Rafe. Come on"

He flies into a portal and I hope, how was I supposed to use these things? and the fact that a portal just opened ticked me off.

I crouch and take a leap screaming when my wings flap, spinning out of control, I miss the portal by I don't know...fifty feet and I'm heading towards a construction site with reinforcements and bars exposed.

OH SHIT OH SHIT!

I open my eyes and the building's gone, I look ahead at the water body ahead and city lights, hooting, with the wind lifting me, my wings are still on fire and there's lightning coming out of my fists.

I hear screeching behind me and veer around to see the most disgusting race of demons I've ever seen_on the internet, with these huge bat wings and blades on the edges, their fingers were blades too with fire coming out of their eyes, they were only two of em.

"That one's ripe for the taking"

"I don't want no trouble_Rafe? Raphael? Hey homie, I got trouble out here"

I laugh when nothing's happened and my wings are gliding on the wind thermal, I can see my reflection on the water clearly, I face them smiling.

"Hey, I'm Angel...Hail Satan"

"You're coming with us" The demon pulls out a huge sword and I pull back.

"Back up" I raise my flaming hand but they don't balk.

"Uhh..the power compels thee?"

They exchange looks like I'm crazy and I feel the heat rising and an extreme amount of fire and lightning comes shooting out of my hand to scorch them.

I turn to fly away and look at my hand "That worked?"

The demons double up to four, screeching, I curse trying to evade the hail of blades coming at me and wince at the one that stabs my feet, I let myself drop in the water and the fire on my wings is still persistent.

Fire in water, how unbelievable.

I hold my breath and grit my teeth pulling out the daggers, no blood, the demons were floating above water just waiting for me like a swarm of killer bees but what could be worse?

It's been 2 minutes and I'm still underwater, my lungs were gonna give out anytime soon, my brain if I had any would be swelling, air bubbles escape and I'm still breathing.

I see a light from under me and a woman's face appears.

"Come on!"

I stir in the undertows and swim down into the portal, the place kind of turns upside down and I'm going down.

"Oh geez, work!"

I focus on getting my wings to flap and scream as the force of the wind pushes me down, a fire ignites around me and I'm falling like a comet.

I'm hyperventilating and my eyes fly around although I see nothing. I stop in the air when something clutches my foot. The fire goes out and I spin in the air and my wings open to glide on the thermal, the first thing I saw was the lady, grinning.

"You are one hot angel number"

She has this flowing white hair and a doll face with huge wings and white armor. She smirks at me and I push back when the sky starts turning blood red and her lips tear open showing nasty teeth.

She grips my shoulders with her webbed talons and tries to take a bite out of me.

"I know you want me but can't you be a little gentle?"

I push her face away and she screeches as the jolt from my hand plummeting. I look around at what looked like a giant geyser full of burning hot water and more creatures like her were coming at me in swarms.

"Hades called, he wants his uglies back"

I put my fist out and a cyclone of electricity encompasses them, they screech convulsing and they drop into the water. I float away to a waterfall and I'm outnumbered.

"You belong with us" One pointed a nasty claw at me.

"There's no place like home, there's no place like home" I repeat to myself and I'm still in this hell house.

"Rafe? Anytime now!"

A hand muffles my voice from behind and pulls me back, I roll into another dimension and look up at Rafe in new clothes, my eyes dart around at the forest with peculiar kinds of leaves and what looked like a prism rose bush.

He helps me up and I pull back adjusting my toga

"All better"

"What's happening, why's everyone trying to get me?"
