Chapter 51: 'Soul Catcher' Sisters <Part 1>
"Absent? Soul?" Both Witsel and my crimson-eyed aunt glance at each other, perplexed. "What do you mean? She's not dead!"
"Who said you have to be dead for your soul to leave your body?" I rise to my feet, turning my attention away from my Aunt to the Dark General. "Can you quickly take me to the prisoners?"
"Sure." Witsel says. "You need not ask so politely."
"Thanks." I walk with the Dark General to the doorway before halting and glancing back at the hopeful-faced woman with orange hair. "Ah. By the way, where is Anna? I haven't seen her yet."
"Anna?" Aunt Nailla takes her seat, her arms resting ass they should be, on the armrest. "She said she was going to hang out with the second princess. She says she has developed an interest in gardening, but I know that in truth she just can no longer bear to see her mother like this."
I inhale and exhale deeply at the genuinely worried look in her crimson eyes before turning around to go.
