the death dealer and the ancient vampire

it had been some time since the Cullens came back to forks, Bella had also become much more active than before, but unknown to anyone but Alex, her innate mana that every human has, was rapidly expanding ever since she first used the life splitter, this worried Alex greatly since unlike him, whose body was specifically designed to not have any limits for growth, she was still human, and had a limit to how much mana she could hold before she died of overload, thankfully, she was set to become a vampire-like the Cullens after her graduation, of course at first, he refused that, but after Bella had managed to convince him after pleading to him for an entire month, but Alex had a condition,

he did not want his sister to become an ice block like the weakling Cullens, so he made her promise that she will only become the type of vampire which he chooses for her to which she agreed,

this leads us to his current location,

in Hungary at the Ördögház coven of the second type of vampires that Alex and named the Corvinus line, thanks to their shared genetic ancestry,

he stood in front of Viktor, the eldest vampire aside from Marcus Corvinus,

"so why should i give you our venom?" Viktor said to which Alex replied,

"because i am asking you nicely instead of slaughtering you and taking what i want, besides, i wanted to give you a deal," he said and then thought to himself,

'after all, i too want to know why Lucifer was always obsessed with making deals'

"what deal?" Viktor asked, excited, it was not every day that a powerful vampire that was even stronger than the founding father was willing to make a deal,

"i will bestow one of you with a drop of my blood, but on the condition that the receiver will be of my choosing, and i will be evaluating the receiver candidates before i select," he said,

Viktor was in a dilemma, on one hand, he risked exposing all the secrets of his race to an unknown, but on the other hand, he had the opportunity to have one of his subordinates become insanely strong and help exterminate the Lycans once and for all,

he finally decided to take the risk and agreed,

for the next two months, Alex spent his time going through the minds of every one of the coven and discovered a lot of secrets and conspiracies hidden in it, but the one he felt the most pity for was none other than the brave girl he had met in forks all those months ago, Selene,

at first, her family was killed to keep a dark secret, then Viktor turned her into a vampire to replace his dead daughter whom he had killed, she was then trained from a young age to be nothing but a weapon against the Lycans, in this aspect, she was very similar to Alex himself, knowing nothing but her mission in life, but he also found something peculiar, it would seem that one of her ancestors, possibly her great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather was a vampire himself but not the first or the second kind, he was a dead apostle, that was the reason why she was so much better than any other vampire her age should be, because she comes from a line which predated the Corvinus line by a millennia at the minimum,

and so he decided upon her to be the receiver,

it was the day on which Selene was supposed to receive Alex's blood, and the said man was looking at a ring on his finger, this ring contained one of the most powerful tools that he always had with him ever since he was born,

the armor that the ancient humans had created using the flesh, bones, and hide of an ancient dragon that was as old as time itself,

as he was reminiscing these things, he was called by one of the elders, saying that everything was ready for the ceremony,

Alex was not the least bit worried about giving Selene his blood and her turning on him, because he knew that her kind shared their memories through blood, that meant that when she took his blood, she would know every single one of the dirtiest secrets in the coven, and he was sure that given her personality, she would wipe them out,

he then wore the robes that were given to him by the elders for the occasion and left for the ceremony hall,

Selena was feeling ecstatic, she had been chosen by Alex to inherit his powers, she was excited to use said powers to avenge her family by killing all the Lycans and make her father, Viktor, happy, suddenly she sensed the vampire called Alex walk down the stairs dressed in the black robes that were traditionally given to the highest of the vampire elders, but when she looked at him she was dazed,

his deep red eyes captivated her blue ones, his muscle structure enhanced by the robes, his aura of power captivated her completely, and the way he walked, though looked ordinary, but to her trained eyes, he could not hide the strength in his gait as if he was ready to fight at a moments notice, a veteran warrior,

as she stood there in a daze, the ancient vampire walked towards her and smiled,

"shall we begin?" he asked which brought her back to the world, she nodded as, under the eyes of the elders, she got down on a knee as Alex used his power to open a small gap in his skin to let a drop of blood flow out, Selene immediately took the drop and drank it,

however, the moment she drank it, she was overwhelmed by the memories and power contained in the blood, she could already feel a massive amount of energy, which she now knows thanks to the memories called mana, building up in her body, her strength, speed durability, and flexibility had increased by a hundredfold, as she was relishing in the power, she started to have small glips into the ancient memories in the blood, and it was enough to terrify her, a death dealer, out of her wits, but those memories were very small, mostly only images, but then came the memories about the coven,

she was devastated to know that the man that she had trusted so much and seen as a father had been lying to her from the very beginning,

she slowly fell to her knees as she started to weep silently in rage and sadness, it was then that Alex spoke,

"i know how you feel Selena, i too was once betrayed by the person i loved the most, i too had been pursuing a single goal set for me by my creators, i too know the pain of having no one in the world, but now, just like me who had found a purpose for myself, you too can choose, you could go roam the world, see it for yourself, all of its beauty and it's evil, use your new-found powers however you want, or, you can come with me, i will train you in your powers, maybe you might find a family for yourself, the choice is yours" he said as he extended a hand to her as she stared at it,

"What is the meaning of this??" Viktor shouted but was then silenced by a crushing pressure coming from Alex,

"silence weakling, can't you see she is in the middle of making a choice?" he said calmly,

Selena was right now in a bind, on one hand, she wanted to go with Alex because after seeing a few bits of his memories, she knew that he would never betray her, but on the other hand, she was afraid that he too was deceiving her like her so-called father,

but in the end, she decided to take a risk and trust in someone one more time,

she took his hand and got up, but then vanished as cries rang out throughout the coven,

soon the vampires in the coven came to an end,

Selene slowly walked towards Alex covered in blood, Alex then held her hand as the too suddenly vanished, leaving behind a burning building filled with vampire corpses, including Marcus Corvinus,

Alex appeared in his mansion along with Selena,

"wow, do you always travel like this?" Selena asked to which Alex smiled and said,

"i find it much easier compared to running or flying, in time, you will too," he said as he walked out of his house, he suddenly stopped and turned to find Selena standing at the door looking at the sunlight, she slowly put her hand out in the sunlight, she watched as nothing happened, slowly tears started to fall from her eyes as she stood in the sunlight, for the first time after in 600 years,
