Return of the Purple Eyes

Ban and the others arrived at the pier and also the most populated area in the Capital, the slums.

"We're here. We have a boat to catch." Ban surveyed the surroundings with his detection.

'So crowded in here. And nobody seems to be cared about the kidnapped childrens?'

Ban noticed the lively atmosphere in the streets. The children even approached their group and seems to be wanting to befriend them.

"Protect your belongings, Mr Whiss. These kids doesn't show it, but they are pick pocketers." Samantha close in to Ban as he whispered. She added, "Dont't try to give them money. Once you do, they will inform the gangs about it and we will be caught in slight trouble."

"Oh?" Ban was about to give the kids some money when he heard the reminders of Samantha.

"So, what's our task, Mr Whiss?" Michelle closed in and asked Ban.

"We will rescue a bunch of kidnapped kids." Ban paused and pointed at the nearby ferry. He continued, "Those kids are about to be imported outside of our land, so we must prevent it from happening."

Samantha furrowed her brows and said, "That's a bit troublesome."

"Oh? Why is that?" Ban turned to Samantha as he asked.

"We are also having the same problem in the HQ about this case." Samantha said. She continued after a pause, "These kids have no parents and they were handled by local gangs. And every member of the gangs lived mostly in the slums."

"We tried to solve the problem. However, many were involved. Almost all of the residents in the slums, actually." Cassi chimed. She continued, "These gangs have backers on themselves. It's either some prominent families that sells the kids for profits or some unknown organization that used these kids to be their personal armies."

Ban paused his step and knitted his brows.

"If you want to get rid of this issue, you must destroy these prominent families and these unknown organizations all at once." Samantha said in a serious tone. She continued, "We can rescue these kids. However, tomorrow will be the same. It is an unending cycle of this kind of dirty business for others. Just like drugs and human trafficking."

Ban didn't think that the matters are so severe.

"How about you? The authorites? Did you tried to use some solutions for this kind of problems in the Capital?"

Samantha shook her head, "We are helpless against it. Though we tried to use some alternative methods, it not working at a long term." She paused and continued, "This is the slums. Any opportunity is possible to the poor people like them."

"Right. There are some alarming news that happened recently." Cassi said. She continued, "The gangs are having some upgrades as they recruited more Divergents. Soon there will be chaos that will happen in the Capital due to the rising numbers of the Divergents. Our bureau couldn't keep up the process on having more members as we don't have enough budget to accommodate these newly awakened people.

Ban frowned every now and then. Sooner or later the matters about Divergents will be known to public and that will cause a huge commotion if that will ever happen.

"Who gave you the funds?" Ban asked.

Samantha and the others shook their head.

"We don't have any access to that confidential matter. However, I am certain that every prominet families are paying us some funds in order to operate." Samantha replied.

Ban pondered for a while and waved his hand, "Rescue the kids for me. Do what you usually do about the process." He continued after a pause, "Send the rest to the hotel where I am currently staying at. Book a room for them. Send those who wants to meet with me. Just tell them that I will give them an oppotunity to change their fate."

Michelle squinted her eyes at Ban and asked, "Do you want to adopt them? I hate to break it to you, but you are still too young to be their new father."

"I have my plans, don't worry." Ban waved his hand and returned to the car with Alice.

Michelle pursed her lips as she knew Ban could do anything that bypassed their law. Especially he can command them, Special Abilities Bureau agents at will.

Samantha bowed her head respectfully and gathered her group for a plan.

Meanwhile, Ban was sitting at the back of the car while having some deep thoughts. He never thought that the problem in the slums of the Capital was so severe that the people there used childrens as a bagaining chips for those prominent families and organizations.

"Where are we heading, young master?" Alice asked. She carried the wheels as she drive out in the slums.

Ban tilted his head and almost forgot the other important matter.

"Head to the Eastern district." Ban told the exact location and Alice immediately headed towards the location.

Almost an hour after Ban arrived at a residential Area in the Eastern District of the Capital. Ban told Alice to park the car at a remote street where less people passes by.

"Do you see that room where no lights are on?" Ban pointed at a normal house and told Alice.

Alice tilted her head and glanced at a normal sized condominium building. She nodded her head after confirming the room.

"Subdue the man inside. He's the delivery man that you described earlier." Ban said. Perfect time to enter a house as it is already night time.

Alice stared at Ban in surprise. She's with Ban earlier and she knew Ban didn't ask for help on finding the delivery man so she was quite skeptical about it, but she still followed his order.

Ban slowly turned invisible as he followed Alice from behind. He wanted to know how she deal with the target.

It didn't take a moment as Alice already entered the room silently. What welcomed her gave her a goosebumps.

A man was sitting on a chair while jacking off as he stared at the monitor screen with lust on his face. His hand movement become rapid as he is about to reach the pinnacle of heaven.

Alice wanted to finish the task when her expression changed greatly as she glanced at the monitor screen.

'Madam!'

The screen showed the fully naked Flora as she was in her room changing a new set dress after a bath.

Alice was about to subdue the man when she felt a terrifying killing intent from her behind that she almost forgot to take a huge breathe. When she turn around, a pair of glowing purple eyes that stared at the back of the delivery man who was doing his own business.

Ban slowly stepped towards the man as he extended his hand targetting the latter's neck.

The man felt a chill from his back as his 'little brother' down there slowly wilted.

"Who's there!?"

"Ackkk!"

Ban hand already grabbed the man's neck as he stared at the man with indifferent look on his face.

"Young master, stop!"

Alice changed her expression. She feared that Ban might kill the man due to anger without interrogating him. She began to hold Ban's arm and tried separate the man from his grip. However, she couldn't do anything as Ban was far stronger than her. She then began to persuade Ban about the interrogation, but she noticed that the latter didn't left his gaze at the man with his terrifying purple eyes. Her pleas was ignored by Ban.

The man's complexion turned red as he began to loose his breath. His eyes buldge while staring at Ban's eyes in terror.

*Craccck!!*

It didn't take long as the man was decapitated by Ban's grip.

The man's headless body slumped to the floor.

When Alice thought that everything was over, her expression changed again. That was because, she saw Ban's arm still lifted in the air as he was gripping a purple shadow.

"T-The soul of the man?" H-How is that possible?!"

The man's soul struggled on Ban's grip. Even in death, he didn't know why he was targeted by this madman.

Ban's eyes glowed brighter and the man's soul got absorbed in his body in a flash.

Alice watched the happenings from start to finish as she opened her mouth in disbelief. She couldn't believe that she saw a real soul in her very own eyes.

'Young master, just... who are you?'
