46 Continent of Pride[8]

A sound that resembled roaring dragons echoed inside Khan's body, intense heat surged around him that the vegetations that surrounded him started to dry out.

Cracking sounds echoed within his body accompanied by intense pain that threatened to devour his consciousness.

Khan gritted his teeth and forcefully formed a mudra and chanted with a hoarse voice, "PAR ASAN NA YUNG KASAMA NYO PAR!"

With the last syllable spoken, the raging energy within his body calmed down and the heat that surrounded him turned mild, however, his consciousness didn't stop its focus as it guided the Qi that came from the Immortal Peach.

When the Qi flowed in his dried out meridians, it seemed to pulsate with light and it started to shine in a golden light, filled with the aura of a Divine Emperor, witnessing this, Khan startled, and became almost unable to hold his excitement.

Born from nature itself, the Immortal Peach contained an enormous amount of life force that not only it could break a bottleneck. It could also instantly heal anyone who was on the brink of death.

Since Khan still couldn't gather the Qi that came from the heavens, he decided to pour the peach's entire medicinal strength to heal all of his internal wounds, and it was extremely effective to the point that his Withered Dantian started to rumble with life.

In the end, it took him several hours to complete the absorption process and the results astonished him. He clenched his fists and found that his fleshly body could now compare to a peak Spirit Tempering Realm practitioner.

His Withered Dantian and dried out meridians started to pulsate with life, and if Khan willed it, he could start gathering the Qi from the heavens to form his own, Divine Emperor Qi, but of course, the healing that the peach did wasn't complete, Khan inspected and found that a quarter of his Dantian had come to life.

Khan glanced at the two and found that they still closed their eyes in meditation, he took a quick look towards the fallen Ape and found that it merely lost its consciousness.

His eyes smiled and he sneaked towards a location imprinted within his mind. With his current physique, it took him about five minutes to arrive before a huge waterfall.

The crystal clear water that streamed down was basically like a paradise to lower cultivation and higher cultivation beasts alike, however, the waterfall wasn't Khan's goal, but the cave behind it.

Testing the pressure of the waterfall, he found that his physique could endure the stress that the waterfall gave and just dived towards it.

Piercing through the waterfall, Khan arrived before a dimly lit cave, within the cave were several archaic bones of beasts and humans alike, he leaked a mysterious smile.

'It looks like this small cave of mine became a treasure trove...' He thought as he picked a dusty box that contained a map with an X marker on it.

Towards these treasure hunters, Khan didn't feel any sympathy or the need to apologize, because back then, Khan had the hobby of creating caves filled with treasures that he didn't need but were precious to those of lower cultivation.

And this cave was just a drop in the ocean compared to the number of maps that he had spread all over the entire planet.

If they didn't have the power to obtain those coveted treasures, then they could blame themselves for being powerless.

He strolled down the familiar path, although the passing of time evidently diminished the marks that he left, he could still walk through it like he was in his backyard.

The maze-like cave and the dangerous formations hidden within didn't pose any threat towards Khan, for all of them already lost their source of power.

Reaching the end, Khan smiled, the treasures within that he hid inside a treasure chest at the end already lost its luster thanks to the merciless jaws of time, however, his intentions into coming here wasn't for that.

It was to hide the undulations of him absorbing the Qi from the heavens and converting it to the peerless Divine Emperor Qi.

He sat down cross-legged, taking a deep breath, rumbling sounds echoed from the skies descending down towards his body.

"!"

Across the entire continent, several powerful figures simultaneously turned their heads towards the direction of the Continent of Pride, their eyes shone in astonishment.

All of them felt the suffocating pressure and had a united thought within their mind.

"A Divine Emperor Realm powerhouse is being born?!"

Their figures flashed towards the skies and found that there was no sign of an incoming tribulation, but this revelation increased the anxiety within their hearts.

'If there is no incoming tribulation, then it could only mean, one thing... Either it's caused by an existing powerhouse or a powerful figure awakened from slumber...'

All of them sent their divine sense towards the direction of the Continent of Pride.

Inside the innermost chamber of the Divine Pills Sect, an emaciated old man could be seen, even though his appearance couldn't be more miserable, the aura that surrounded him indicated his peerless strength, he stared at the distance and his eyes shone with a longing light.

"Brother..." He weakly murmured before his eyes closed and returned to his rest.

the Sect Master's figure startled, he had already finished absorbing the energy that came from the Immortality Peach and officially became a half-step Divine Emperor Realm expert, however, his eyes reflected a light filled with utter horror.

For an insurmountable pressure descended from the skies towards the distance, a pressure that left him in despair.

Forcibly suppressing his own body from kneeling down on the ground, he glanced at the meditating Lily and found that she was unaffected, 'It seems like this godly pressure only affects those with a Divine Ascendance cultivation... Still, why did it descend in this forest?'

'Wait... Where is that kid?!' He looked around and noticed that Khan was nowhere to be found, he clicked his tongue and manifested a jadeslip in the air, of which, he used to predict Khan's current location.

However, he didn't dare to try and find him, for Khan's current location was close to the place where the immense pressure from the heavens had descended, he could only grit his teeth and hope that the powerhouse that awakened wouldn't kill his direct disciple.

Back at the cave inside the Great Forest, a reddish haired figure could be seen giving off a golden light in the dark, his bronze skin and muscles looked even sturdier and defined.

The power that enveloped his body would occasionally flicker and shatter the space around him, causing the scenery that surrounded him to distort as if it would break.

The might that came from the heavens slowly dissipated. As the figure of the young man stood up, crackling sounds akin to bursting lava would echo from the inside of his body.

Khan wore a small smile, for the harvest that he had inside this Great Forest was extremely enormous, not only he was able to partly heal his Withered Dantian, he also increased the strength of his fleshly body, that he could now fight a peak Divine Soul Realm practitioner without any worries.

Regaining the supply of Qi within his body, Khan's Slaughter Path cultivation method naturally circulated as well, because of this, Khan's body would unintentionally emit a bloodthirsty aura.

Khan willed, as an incorporeal crimson light exploded within his body followed by a stifling pressure which could tremble anyone within its vicinity.

He gave a small smile, withdrawing his Slaughter Aura, Khan returned to his previous look, without a trace of that earlier bloodthirstiness.

He slowly moved forward, his footsteps balanced and measured, and the scenery around him seemed to bow down and praise his sovereignty.

This was the greatest sign that Khan, albeit, partly, finally returned to his previous might.

But even though he felt excited, he also sighed in his heart, for the Divine Emperor Qi that he gathered wouldn't be able to last a full fight, however, he could muster a single attack with comparable power to him at his peak.

And as for how strong Khan's fully powered attack? Khan merely smiled towards the thought and started walking back towards the two.

When he arrived, he found an ashen-faced Sect Master and a concerned Lily looking at him with an irritated expression, Khan sighed, he moved towards the two and hung his head in shame, for it was his fault that they worried about him.

But after he gave him an Immortality Peach, the Sect Master couldn't bear to scold him and just stood there with an indignant look on his face.

But Lily was different, she leaped towards Khan and pinched his waist as the latter screamed in agony, the birds chirped and the beasts howled to the sky, in sympathy towards Khan's execution.

After enduring a round of scolding and coaxing the annoyed Lily, the Sect Master told the two that they should now properly find a suitable mount to cross the great river that separates the Divine Dragon Sect from the outside world.

Khan even joked about he could just ride Lily's draconic form and was once again subjected to Lily's torture as the Sect Master stared at him with a gloating expression.

The Great Forest of Pride was separated into three areas, the outer, inner, and innermost, according to Khan's memories, the location of the Divine Dragon Sect was at the innermost part, the innermost area and the inner area was divided by a great river called, the Great River of Pride.

Although the group had formidable cultivation bases, thanks to the flight restriction formations that the Divine Dragon Sect placed, they could only indignantly find a suitable mount that could carry them to the other side.

"By the way, Sect Master, since you're so knowledgeable about the Divine Dragon Sect, you must've come here already, yet, why don't you have a mount?"

the Sect Master retorted with a fierce glare that wanted him to shut up, prompting Khan to snuggle with Lily and acted like he was innocent.

With the princess of the Divine Dragon Race, a peak Divine Ascendance Realm Elder and a hundred thousand years old monster, their hunt for a mount didn't last long, in the end, the Sect Master had a thirty meter Ogre to carry him, and Lily had an aquatic eel carry her on its back.

The most miserable looking of them all was Khan, who had a turtle carry him to the other side.

When they reached the shore, the two bid their farewells towards their short-lived companions, the two threw a weird glance towards Khan, the latter just hugged the turtle while feeling extremely excited in his heart.

"Damn, I actually found a turtle with a Divine Beast bloodline in its veins!"

He almost wanted to leap in excitement when he found that the turtle detected the Divine Emperor Aura that came from his body, especially when it nestled on its arms, acting like a small baby.

The turtle only looked as big as his forearm, and its body appeared to be different from normal turtles as its skin would shine in a jade light under the inspection of Qi.

Khan glanced at the scene that he found before him, atop a mountain hill, intangible figures of dragons could be seen, seemingly flying around the mountain peak.

On the foot of the mountain peak, a stair that extended to the top laid, whereupon members of the Divine Dragon Sect scattered as their voices sent the tranquil surroundings into a ruckus.

Khan stared at this familiar scenery and breathed the familiar air that he once longed for.

"I'm finally, here, Divine Dragon Sect!"
