Continent of Pride[17]

A knock echoed in the door, with a creaking sound, Alfredo opened the door, revealing the smiling figure of Ahon who went inside and extracted several bags filled with herbs. Their small wafted in the air as they felt a surge in their resting Qi.

Evidently, the herbs which Ahon brought ranked higher than average herbs.

Alfredo inspected the herbs and nodded, the latter also nodded his head and retracted a small cauldron before setting up a Light and Sound Isolating Formation.

Alfredo smiled and sat near the cauldron amidst the pair of sister's watching gaze, Ahon stood at the side, Qi could be seen pulsating from his arm, sustaining the formation's effectiveness.

Alfredo's expression became solemn, the Qi within his body became a ball of fire that ignited under the cauldron, thankfully, the floor was made of reinforced bricks, or else, under his domineering Qi, it would've already melted.

As one of the founders of the trinity of the strongest Sect, the Divine Dragon Sect, the Divine Talisman Sect, and the Divine Pills Sect, Khan's experience when it comes to concocting pills could be said to be also at the peak, although it was much worse than his ability in creating talismans.

But saying that it was worse was an understatement, for in this world's standards if Khan had enough ingredients he could potentially create a Tier 8 Pill that was deemed to be a pill that existed only as a legend.

His concentration focused on the cauldron before him, observing any minute changes in the temperature, the bronze colored cauldron became painted with a reddish hue, Khan acted quick, he took a bottle of Spring Water from the bag and infused it with his Divine Emperor Qi.

The water infused with his Qi shone with a faint golden light, blessed with the Qi that came from a Divine Emperor itself, it became a water akin to that of an immortal medicine thanks to his enchantment.

Khan added the water on the cauldron and waited for it to boil, after about an incense stick of time, the cauldron emanated a terrifying heat which threatened to scald the two sisters who stared at the side.

Azrael acted quick, he manifested a barrier and protected the two from the collateral heat that started to spread.

Even the reinforce walls and the floor itself started to distort because of the extraordinary heat, yet, Khan still sat there with a solemn expression on his face, as if the heat didn't even bother him.

What a joke! Khan's tempered body could even endure a lightning strike from the heavens, much less a measly fire that he himself created.

Time passed, and when cracks started to appear on the surface of the cauldron, Khan's hand blurred, he reached for a small azure colored ginger. When his hand touched it, it emanated a deep frost energy which threatened to freeze his entire hand.

Khan didn't even bother about it and just threw it directly at the pot. Larah saw what he did and exclaimed in her heart. "W-w-was that an Azure Yin Ginger?! And he just threw it directly at the pot... Isn't he afraid of dissipating the heat he gathered on his cauldr-" But before she could continue, she found that Khan threw another h

This time, the ginger shone in a scarlet light and its body itself gave off a faint oppressive aura, "Scarlet Yang Ginger?! What is he doing mixing two extremes of energy together?!"

Her monologue was cut short when Khan enveloped the two herbs that started to clash in the cauldron with his Divine Emperor Qi and forcefully made them submit.

Under the horrifying coercive deterrence that Khan showed, the two herbs didn't have any choice but to quietly melt into the concoction.

Azrael who stood at the side only sighed in his heart, for he was one of the most familiar of Khan's domineering alchemy methods, although it looked unorthodox, its success rate was well past the fifty percent mark.

But this wasn't the reason why Larah's expression became painted with horror, for she just witnessed Khan throwing everything together without even taking precise measurements and just stirred them all like he was cooking fried rice.

For a moment there, Larah forgot what was right and wrong, for Khan just defied every common sense that she knew.

Azrael gave an amused smile after noticing the changes in her expression, 'Back then, master also astonished innumerable peak level figures because of his way of concoction, much less, you, a person who hasn't even seen the entire world.' He thought in his mind.

The bubbling liquids in the cauldron shot towards the air, Larah and Khan's expression became grave while Azrael just stood there with a carefree expression on his face despite the fact that the hardest hurdle in pill concoction was to come.

Khan pointed, enveloped the bubbling liquid and forcefully merged them together with his Divine Emperor Qi as a medium.

"TAHIMIK!" Khan exclaimed and as if following a heavenly decree, the boiling liquid merged in mid-air and formed several pills.

Judging from the dense life force that came from the pill itself, it could be deduced that Khan just made several Tier 5 Healing Pills in one sitting.

By this time, Larah thoroughly felt confused about the logic of everything, how could such an arrogant way of creating pills succeed? And even having a yield of several pills!

She exclaimed in her heart, but she also couldn't refuse the reality that happened before her and was forced to eventually accept it.

The group stayed there along with Khan who concocted pills for three days straight, Larah didn't even feel impressed about his miraculous feats anymore, for her heart already became numb to it.

Thanks to the deeply engraved disdain that the Elders held towards Alfredo and Ahon, no one interrupted their retreat, but that doesn't mean that they weren't privy of the events that happened on the outside world.

The Thousand Claws Sect retracted their earlier plan of sending delegates in pushing through the marriage engagement, instead, they gathered their troops consisted by hundreds of Core Disciples and Elders as the front liner, while the other disciple stayed on the rear.

Of course, Ahon and Alfredo because of their position as the Elders wasn't exempted and was asked to gather at the Eastern City Gates.

Common citizens of the city clamored around as they watched the disappearing silhouettes of the Thousand Claws Sect members, with their flags in tow, they walked towards the Great Plain of Pride, of which, wars, traditionally occurred.

The unwritten rules of the Continent of Pride stated that wars between kingdoms and Sects should happen on the plain, to prevent widespread damage to the terrain and environment.

When the troops arrived, they found that the eastern border was enveloped by a strange barrier formation which reflected anyone that came into contact with it.

Haem Patrigio, whose body clad in a brilliant golden armor stood at the front lines, however, he didn't order his troops to advance, instead, he asked them to retreat for at least five kilometers.

They rested and camped for a while near a ridge that hid their location from their enemies, while they relaxed their tensed nerves, a bedraggled figure of an Elder approached the Sect Master of the Thousand Claws Sect.

Haem Patrigio found upon recognizing the old man that approached him. For he didn't really have any good impression of Alfredo, according to the information that he gathered, Alfredo was a sex maniac and relied heavily on his connections to defile countless young maidens.

He frowned and said, "What's the matter, Alfredo?"

Alfredo solemnly bowed while singing his praises towards him.

"Enough with the pleasantries, if you don't have any important matters to consult, please go back to your quarters." His tone laced with disdain and displeasure.

"Ah...Yes! I have an important matter to consult with the Sect Master!" Alfredo repeatedly nodded his head before withdrawing several jade bottles from his Spatial Ring.

Haem Patrigio's interest piqued, but his frown returned when he found that the pills shone with a pinkish light.

The Elders who also gathered near the Patriarch frowned, 'Why is he bringing aphrodisiacs for the Sect Master? Is he indirectly saying that the Sect Master needs it for his private life?'

They thought in their mind.

But before they could speculate any further, Alfredo smirked and popped a jade bottle, causing a surge of life force to shot towards the skies.

"TIER 5 HEALING PILLS?!"

Their eyes almost bulged from its sockets as they stared at the several jade bottles lined on the ground, however, instead of shouting in joy, the Patriarch's eyes became filled with a severe light as he stared at Alfredo.

"Judging from the quality of these pills, they were definitely made by a master, and for how much a single pill cost I wouldn't even ask you for anyone with common sense would know, now tell me, how could a destitute Elder like you acquire such a huge amount of pills and in such a short time at that?"

Alfredo sighed, his eyes became filled with complicated emotions which startled the other Elders and his brother, the Grand Elder into shock.

"That's because I..." He bit his lips as his expression became pained, "I sold a part of my Divine Soul..."

Of all the answers that Haem Patrigio deduced, the answer that he received was the answer that he didn't expect.

In that instant, several surges of probing Qi struck Alfredo's body, when they inspected the condition of his soul all of them had their eyes opened in shock.

For Alfredo's soul looked like a dimmed hallow light, the expected brilliance that it should have wasn't there, instead, it looked like it was on the verge of dying out.

To sell a part of your Divine Soul was akin to selling a part of your life, not only will your cultivation be harmed, your lifespan and potential would also be damaged, they stared at Alfredo and found that their view towards them was wrong from the start.

To think that they believed those malicious rumors aimed towards him, how deeply they had wronged him from the start?!

Even the stubborn and irritable patriarch felt that his eyes started to moisten up. He stood up and retreated towards his tent to calm his surging emotions.

"FROM NOW ON, I, WITH MY AUTHORITY AS THE SECT MASTER, DECLARES THAT ALFREDO SHALL BECOME AN HONORARY ELDER OF THE THOUSAND CLAWS SECT!"

His voice infused with his Qi echoed towards the skies, everyone who stood on the plain heard it, especially those disciples that benefited from Alfredo's kindness, they stood there together and stared at the front lines, a light of gratitude shining within their eyes.

At the east wing of the camp, Ahon's figure could be seen laying down a rough bed made with several clothes, his figure stiffened for a while when he heard the sound transmission that came from the Sect Master.

Without a sound, he stood up, a small smile suffused on his face as he received a voice transmission that came from his master.

He flicked his wrist as a Gardbrace materialized in the air, with his will, the Gardbrace transformed into that of Ahon's figure, ordering his clone to lay down on the bed, his figure sped towards the direction of the Divine Dragon Sect and his silhouette dissipated amidst the darkness of the night.
