69 Adamantite Class Magicians

The group turned their heads and found a kneeling Caesar whose face became dotted with tears and snot, his left cheek drooped at the side and his previous arrogant air dissipated as he almost hugged Khan's legs.

"Caesar! What the hell are you doing?!" Barhan frowned, but before he could move, Khan gestured for him to stop as he retreated a single step and said, "What do you mean about saving you? Sir Caesar?"

His expression indifferent and his tone cold. For he didn't really care about Caesar, but that doesn't mean that he's a pushover since Caesar attacked first, he would, of course, retaliate.

"Young...Master... I deeply apologize for my wrongdoings so please... please help me!" He spoke to Khan with fear visible in his tone,

"What do you mean, wrongdoings? Did you do something bad?" Khan spoke and awkwardly scratched his head, while Lily who observed him at the side inwardly snickered towards his acting.

"Tdad I... I usid a Paralayding needle attack un Barhan!" His speech became somewhat weird as the strangeness on the left side of his body started to spread.

Barhan's eyebrows lifted, "Paralyzing Needle Attack?"

Khan turned around, nodded his head and said: "Yeah, this guy attacked you with a Paralyzing Needle just before he went outside."

Barhan's expression became filled with horror, "Did I get hit?"

"Yeah, you did, at your left torso."

"Shit!"

He exclaimed and immediately summoned the might of his entire cultivation base to find the Paralyzing Needle, but he was dismayed to find nothing.

"Are you sure that he attacked me?" Barhan asked, his tone laced with confusion. For he didn't really feel an ounce of Qi from Khan's body, indicating that he didn't walk on the path of Martial Arts, but if he wasn't a cultivator, how could he detect an attack that even he, a cultivator at the Peak of Spirit Tempering Realm was unable to perceive?

Khan noticed his suspicions, he glanced at Lily before helplessly sighing as he spoke, "It's because of my little wife."

Lily startled by the sudden mention of her name, "Me?"

Everyone's gaze focused on Lily, and the latter flushed in embarassment for the gazes that they used to look at Lily became filled with strange meanings. However, she didn't deny her connection to Khan and just darted a confused look towards his direction.

Khan immediately sent a voice transmission as an enlightened look suffused on Lily's face, she crossed her arms together and spoke, "Yeah, that's right, I was the one who noticed that attack." Her condescending tone pierced through the kneeling figure of Caesar.

At the side, Khan exclaimed in his heart: 'Damn I never thought that her acting was this good!'

The aura of nobility that faintly enveloped Lily burst forth at this moment, sending everyone into a trance as if they were looking at a princess, especially her disdaining posture which made them ponder about their inferiority.

Khan's shock increased in intensity: 'She actually managed to charm them all!'

Caesar's cry became even more wretched as he repented all of his sins and promised to remove the Paralyzing Needle within Barhan's body. And upon Khan's request of making bygones be bygones, Lily healed him of all of his injuries, but at the same time, she inserted a seed of attachment within his mind.

So that in the future, he would obey Lily's order like a loyal dog following the orders of its owner.

Towards Lily's fluid and mercilessness handling of the matter, Khan stared at her speechlessly, and thought, 'Damn, she can already use the Dragon Race's innate charming ability.'

Those of the Dragon Race had several innate abilities depending on their specific element affinity, but for Lily's case, aside from having the highest healing capabilities, she also has the power to bewitch anyone whose mental strength was lower than her.

Caesar respectfully bowed his head towards Lily's direction and handed over a purple card containing ten million as compensation. He then walked towards the exit, disappearing from their view.

Barhan and the old man stared listlessly at Lily's visage.

"Hey, Lily, undo your bewitchment to them." Khan who observed at the side spoke.

Lily's figure startled, 'How can this guy remain unaffected?' She stared closely at his grim expression before clapping her hands together as Barhan and the old man regained their consciousness.

"Eh? What was I doing?"

"Wait, where's Caesar?"

"He's already gone, also, you don't need to worry about that Paralyzing needle thing, Lily already took it for you." Khan nonchalantly spoke before moving towards the direction of the door.

"Mhmm? Miss Lily already healed me? How did I not notice?"

"Since you have your doubts, just call me when your body feels weird."

Barhan nodded his head as the group continued towards the facility hidden within the casino,

"Then, what's your business with me? Khan?" Barhan sat on a reclining chair and relaxed.

"I came here to ask you if you have any information about Adamantite Class Magicians," Khan calmly spoke, but his words startled the old dealer and Barhan.

"Adamantite Class Magicians, eh...So you also want to know about how to ascend to the peak of Modern Magic..."

Barhan's gaze landed on the old dealer, while the latter clenched his fists together as signs of struggle appeared on his expression.

He pondered for a long time before saying, "Young Master, Khan, I do have some information regarding those guys."

Khan and Lily stared at the old dealer who moved towards the Control Panel and tapped as the scenery around them changed into that of a completely white room, with a Rune Decipherer.

The old dealer equipped the Rune Decipherer and the two found that the air around the old dealer changed, his expression became solemn and with a tap, a stream of light that peculiarly sparkled like diamonds emanated from his body which quickly streamed towards the Rune Decipherer on his arm.

"Hah!" The old dealer pointed his open palm towards the wall followed by the materialization of a Rune that fiercely shook Khan's mind.

For the Rune that materialized before the old man's palm was only as big as a ball yet the intricacies hidden within it made him stare in shock and confusion.

"What the hell is that Rune?"

Not only him felt the shock, for Lily, also stared dumbfounded at the Rune that emanated a strange purple light. Judging from the distorted air that surrounded it, its might wasn't less than a peak Divine Ascendance Realm's all out attack.

Due to Khan's vast experience, it only took him a minute to understand a part of it, 'It's actually several dozens of runes stacked upon each other!' He deeply pondered, 'But how did he do it? It's normally impossible to construct a Rune like that! For the energy grids would also overlap, making it a horrendous mess!'

The old dealer smugly smiled as he noticed their confusion and awe, his tone changed into that of melancholy and pride and spoke, "This rune is constructed by me." He momentarily stared at Khan whose shock further increased in intensity.

"Yes, that's right, I'm a Magic Engineer, and a formerly Diamond Class Magician."

His words reverberated inside Khan's mind like a thunderclap as Khan's motivation towards the path of Magic Engineering increased even further.

For an apex cultivator like him, power and wealth was something that he didn't need. What he needed the most were knowledge and wisdom. And to tread into a new path filled with wonders and surprises, Khan, felt even more excited towards his future days, and, of course, his journey towards the peak of Modern Magic.
